Ideal Frequency Of Blog Posts

There are a lot of people who use different frequencies for their blog posts. Some bloggers create new blog posts every day while others post on their blog every week. There is no shirt that fits all in the frequency of blog posts.

The content of a blog is important, but getting your name to appear on other blogs and websites (guest blogger, interview, etc) will allow you to build up an audience. Many people who support blogging once a day tell other bloggers that the more you write, the better your SEO is.

I personally always publish at least 1 post every day. Sometimes, I will publish 2 posts on a single day. The second post I publish is usually a post about one of my products that gets published in the afternoon.

However, I am changing my approach towards the frequency that I blog. Statistics show that most people visit blogs during the morning and late at night. If you want to write a blog post every day, either publish the blog post in the morning or late at night.

I am going to try to publish 2 blog posts every day for an entire week (the first one at 9 a.m. as always and the second on at 9 p.m.). After a week, I will determine whether or not it will be too much work to publish content at that frequency.

The more you post, the better. However, don’t sacrifice quality to get quantity. If I realize I am sacrificing quality to get quantity, I will stop posting twice a day. If I am still able to get a lot of quality posts in, I will keep it up.

There is no shirt that fits all. My method was to publish 1 post every day, and now I am going to try publishing 2 posts every day. The Huffington Post and other news blogs publish over 100 posts every day. Some bloggers only put new content on their blog once a month.

It depends on what you are looking that will result in the right frequency for you.
