Dogs have been given the title of being man’s best friend. Some people would go further and say that dogs are nicer than humans. Here are some of the reasons that man’s best friend is man’s best friend.
- Dogs listen. I have a 7-year-old Shih Tzu named Flower who listens to what we have to say. She does not interrupt us or discourage us in any way. She just listens.
- Dogs encourage activity. When my dog brings a chew toy over, I throw it and see her run after it. Then, after she chased down the chew toy, she brings it back to me. She also needs to be walked which involves activity outside of the office.
- Dogs always say hi. When I get home, my dog is always waiting for me in the same spot: right at the door. When I open the door, there she is, jumping around and being as happy as she can be.
Man’s best friend may not be able to verbally teach us lessons, but they can teach us lessons by the ways that they act. Actions do speak louder than words.
