Is Winning The Lottery Good At All?

Spending money on lottery tickets is a big waste. You’re more likely to get struck by lightning than to win the lottery. Spending a lot of money and then not winning at all is lost money. The problem is that people keep on spending.

If people already invested enough of their money and time into lottery tickets, they want to win the entire thing. More money is spent, and lost as a result.

Let’s say you actually win the lottery. Unlikely, but possible. However, the life of a lottery winner isn’t as luxurious as someone may think. To be honest, it is quite luxurious, but that life of luxury is short lived.

Some people make $10 million by winning the lottery. Others make hundreds of millions of dollars. That may seem like enough money for a lifetime, but with great power comes great irresponsibility.

Friends of the lottery winner ask for some of the money. Since the winner only has millions of dollars, the winner will most likely give money to their friends. Not giving the money to friends presents another problem. There have been multiple cases where people attack the lottery winner and take the money.

You may think this is the end of the blog post. Nay, it gets worse. Over half of the lottery winners quit the job they were in. If you are a lottery winner, don’t quit the thing that you love doing. If you don’t love the job you are doing, keep on looking.

Five years after winning, almost half of lottery winners end up spending all of the money. That’s the irresponsibility kicking in, and some of these people end up going bankrupt. It’s amazing how fast and far across the globe money can travel, and a person who thinks they have unlimited money is going to be guilty of foolish spending.

This statistic isn’t just gruesome. It’s absolutely disgusting. There are people who are ungrateful with what they have, especially the lottery winners. 68% of lottery winners still buy lottery tickets on a weekly basis. Winning the lottery twice would be nice, but there are many reasons why it isn’t right.

The first reason is that lottery winners have enough money. They only have millions of dollars, and some get hundreds of millions of dollars. The greedy fall.

The second reason is that lottery winners should give someone else a chance to win the lottery. There are too many people wasting their money on lottery tickets. I could easily imagine a case where someone wasted $1,000 on lottery tickets, and surprise! That person didn’t get the winning ticket.

Everyone wants to win the lottery, but are the dangers, risks, and selfishness than come along with it really worth it?
