Jimmy Kimmel has a remarkable segment called Mean Tweets in which celebrities read hate tweets that they have received. The segment reveals the celebrities’ reactions towards the hate tweets. Mean Tweets serves as a reminder that celebrities have feelings and what you post on social networks can hurt you.
I happened to watch the segment long after it went live, but I was impressed by the message and elements of humor throughout the segment. Little did I know that a few months later I would be getting a similar tweet. I did nothing to deserve it, but it was there.
For the sake of anonymity, I will not reveal the person who sent the tweet. However, it was an offensive one. Instead of letting that tweet ruin my day, I decided to send out this tweet and write this blog post.
I was not pleased when I saw the mean tweet, but I did not let it ruin my day. Criticisms will be hurled at us, but those criticisms must not crush our motivation.

I also received a mean tweet. It was an assault on a blog post with no reference to the post and a strange link. I changed my password right away and blocked the sender since almost every tweet from his account was an insult launched at someone. I believe it was an attempt to hack accounts using emotional bait to get people to click the link. Past that, hurt people hurt people. Great you could shake it off.
