How To Conquer The Fear Of Starting A Business

May 1, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

The fear of starting a business is more different than any other kind of fear. Starting could result in a powerful business that makes millions of dollars. Starting could mean you being able to earn a full-time income while working at your own hours and vacationing all around the world. Those are just some of the many benefits of starting your own business.

However, starting a business also means more criticism. Starting means giving yourself full responsibility to implement your ideas. Instead of playing it safe and getting paid to be employed, starting means putting the money aside to start something new that could bring in a lot of money later on.

Starting a business is like a double edged sword. While it does involve less money and large amounts of your time in the beginning, managing a business gradually becomes easier, and more revenue comes in. If you are willing to be patient in the beginning, you will be able to see your idea soar.

Once you come up with one thriving business, it will be much easier to grow strong followings for your other businesses. Once you already have a fan base, you will be able to get more new and returning customers when you create another business.

If you decide that your idea is worth it, if you are willing to put in the work and effort, and if you do not care if people will criticize you, then start the business you have been thinking about. You will have to build a team around your business, and that is fine, because no individual can manage an entire business on their own.

Why You Need To Be On Twitter

April 30, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Twitter Egg

If you are not on Twitter, then you need to get on right away. Twitter has allowed small business owners, authors, entrepreneurs, and others to interact with customers on a large scale. Twitter’s character limitations make the giant social network simpler to understand than other social networks.

One of Twitter’s big features is the ability to create lists. You can use lists on Twitter to read tweets from desired users. You can put all of your customers on one list, and you can put all of your sources on another list. You have the choice to make your individual lists public or private. Many small business owners, entrepreneurs, and others use this feature to connect with customers at a faster rate and learn more about their niche.

In addition, Twitter will allow you to build connections who you do not know yet. I have been privileged with the ability to make thousands of new connections just from Twitter. The people I connect with on Twitter are eager to join in on conversations and share my content.

Twitter has allowed many people to put the “social” back into their businesses. In a world where there are too many automated telephone messages to count, the customer greatly appreciates it when they have a conversation with another person. Instead of listening to, “If you would like to schedule an appointment, press 1,” your customers will be able to read, “Let’s get a date for that appointment!”

Twitter is a powerful way to build your presence on the web. I have written multiple case studies about how Twitter has helped this blog, and I will write more as well. Most of the people who visit this blog came from Twitter. By sticking with Twitter and growing a strong presence on that social network, it will eventually be able to drive hundreds of daily visitors to your blog (then thousands).

There may be some people reading this blog post who have no interest in using Twitter for business. However, anyone can use Twitter to get real-time news. Twitter’s trending topics allow people to stay up to date with what is happening in the world. In addition, you can see what people in the world think and say about important events.

There are several other reasons to use Twitter as well, but know that if you do not have a Twitter account yet, you should get one as soon as possible.

Why The Placebo Effect Works

April 28, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

When brought up in the middle of a conversation, the placebo effect can become very controversial. There are people who believe in all of the gifts the placebo effect has to offer while other people see the placebo effect as luck. The truth is that we all live under the placebo effect. In fact, numerous famous people such as Oprah, Henry Ford, Earl Nightingale, Zig Ziglar, Napoleon Hill, and many others have spoken about the placebo effect at some point. These people spoke about the placebo effect in the form of those inspirational quotes you see such as, “You become what you believe,” or “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.”

The best athletes are the ones who know and believe that they are good. The best writers are the ones who believe their content is remarkable. Although the placebo does not hide the truth (an essay with spelling mistakes is not the best essay in the world), the placebo is very motivational. By believing you can become one of the best, the placebo will kick in and give you the motivation you need to eventually become one of the best.

Whether you know it or not, the placebo has a big impact on your life. If you are wondering why you cannot accomplish a certain goal, think about your attitude towards that goal. The attitude was most likely a “cannot” attitude. If you are wondering how you were able to accomplish a certain goal, you probably had the “can” attitude.

The placebo does not substitute the work and effort you need to put in so your goals can get accomplished. However, living the life of the placebo makes putting in the work and effort much easier.

Before He Changed The World, Steve Jobs Was “Nervous And Scared” During His First TV Interview

April 28, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Steve Jobs had a big impact on the world. He founded Apple, created revolutionary devices, saved his company from bankruptcy, and turned it into a multibillion dollar enterprise. However, there was a point when Steve Jobs had to actually start. When someone becomes as successful as Steve Jobs was able to become, we often forget that there was one point when the company did not exist. Many years ago, there was Steve Jobs but no Apple. Not as far back was a time when there was Jeff Bezos but no Amazon. In addition, we often forget that Steve Jobs is a human being, and at the starting stage, he was “nervous and scared. Rare footage from Steve Jobs’ first TV interview back in 1978 says it all.

There Is Always Room For Better Results

April 27, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Results Sign

We all strive to get better results. When some people get a better result, the joy of getting those results slowly fade away until we want even better results. This is good because it encourages progress and raises the bar higher.

However, some people get too happy with their results. The worst thing that can happen is settling with the results we just got. Getting 1,000 followers is an accomplishment, but settling with 1,000 followers hinders potential growth. There is no limit to how much you and your business can grow.

Many people see reaching a certain result as the end point. However, the results that we desire to reach are not limitations. They are launching pads for further growth.

It’s Not About Making Ideas

April 26, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

It’s about making ideas happen. Thinking about the idea is easy. Making the idea happen is the hard part. Your idea can be a multimillion dollar business, but you only get the multimillion dollar business by putting in the work and effort required.

Thinking about a successful idea does not guarantee success. Implementing the idea, and making that idea grow will allow you to become successful.

Once you come up with the idea, make it happen!
