Why Scheduling YouTube Videos In The Masses Is Very Effective

I have been consistently publishing 1 video on YouTube every week. What few people know is that I have videos scheduled months ahead of time. If I didn’t upload any videos for 3 months, you would still get new videos every Saturday at 9 am EST.

Scheduling YouTube videos is a great way of systematizing your channel. You can do enough videos in one day to have videos scheduled for months. It takes me about 10 minutes to finish an individual video. After 3 hours of constantly doing videos, I would have videos scheduled for over 4 months.

By scheduling YouTube videos, you will have more time to do more videos without worrying about your YouTube channel. After I scheduled my YouTube videos, I quickly went to work creating my own training course about Twitter. I am going to create more training courses as well.

In addition to the training courses, I also have more time to use Google+ Hangouts to talk with experts such as Mike Michalowicz. I have a giant list of people who I am going to contact and do a Hangout with them. I have more time to do these Hangouts because I scheduled my YouTube videos.

The success of a business depends on how much you are able to learn within a certain time. By scheduling YouTube videos, I have more time to learn about other opportunities. By scheduling blog posts, I have more time to write a new book and learn about marketing tactics that lead to bestselling books.

As people see your YouTube videos on a consistent basis, they will start to trust you more. As the trust builds, they will eventually buy your other products. The products you sell could be created with all of the time you are saving. Instead of doing 1 video every week for your YouTube channel, do 6 videos one day so you don’t have to worry about doing another video for at least a month.

5 Lessons I Learned From NYT Bestselling Author Mike Michalowicz

I had the honor of having Mike Michalowicz as a guest for a Google+ Hangout. Mike and I talked about The Pumpkin Plan and his upcoming book, Profit First. I read The Pumpkin Plan a few months before the Google+ Hangout. Even if you have read The Pumpkin Plan like I did, you will learn a lot from the Hangout. Here are the 5 things that I learned from Mike Michalowicz:

  1. Fear leads to action. On his 24th birthday, Mike lived in a retirement home where the people there were “either 80 or dead.” Mike said that it was fear that drove him to start his multimillion dollar businesses. That was a way of looking at fear that I never thought of.
  2. Just start. Mike said that people keep on thinking and thinking. However, it is more important to just start. When starting, it is also important to start by spending as little money as possible just to see what works.
  3. You need to be clever. Pizza stores are very competitive, and many of them end up being out of business. However, the pizza stores that go out of business still have their telephone numbers. When Mike teamed up with a pizza store, he looked for telephone numbers of other pizza stores that went out of business. Mike was able to find 3 telephone numbers of 3 pizza stores that went out of business. Then, Mike and the people at the pizza store went to work creating automated messages that directed those people to their own pizza store. That pizza store Mike was working with got three times as many customers.
  4. Write a book about something you like. Mike knows a lot about growing pumpkins. He gave a summary about his knowledge during the Hangout, but in The Pumpkin Plan, he goes further in detail about how planting the colossal pumpkin (the orange fruit). He does relate growing the colossal pumpkin to growing a colossal business just as well, but Mike knows a lot about pumpkins. Since he knows a lot about pumpkins, writing The Pumpkin Plan was the perfect choice.
  5. Give people teasers. Mike’s new book, Profit First comes out in July, but we won’t have to wait until July to see some of his book. In the Hangout, Mike said he would have a link to the first chapter of the book in one of his upcoming blog posts. Mike also gave a lot of teasers for The Pumpkin Plan which can be found all over his YouTube channel.

How Focus Noises Can Increase Productivity

I have been listening to focus noises for the last few days while working, and I have never been as productive as I am now. I have been able to write blog posts while avoiding my email and other distractions.

The focus noise I have been listening to is similar to the noise a helicopter makes (but not as loud). This has led to a dramatic increase in productivity. There are focus noise options on YouTube such as rushing water (I have tried working while listening to this noise and experienced similar results of productivity).

The problem with music on the radio is that there is not a constant sound. There is no way to get the tunnel vision we need in order to be productive by listening to different songs on the radio. With these focus noises, you hear the same sound which always gets repeated. Working with this sound will allow you to get the tunnel vision you need in order to increase your productive. When you turn off the radio, you will feel some kind of difference because the sound will be off. However, when you turn off a focused noise, the tunnel vision gets snapped, and the difference is greater.

Focus noises are an underrated way to getting a lot more done.

The Problem With Taking The Easy Road

Instead of sending out 1 tweet every hour, I could send out 1 tweet every day. Instead of publishing 2 blog posts every day, I could publish 2 blog posts every week. Instead of creating the Twitter Domination Training Course, I could have stopped with YouTube videos. Imagine how different the statistics would look.

The easy road is a mirage. The easy road appears as work free, fun, and the best thing that ever happened. When people take the easy road, they don’t get to unlock their potential. How about this for an activity: name one person who took the easy road. After you do that, try to name one person who took the easy road and became successful because he/she took the easy road.

You won’t be able to think of someone who took the easy road and became successful. There are a lot of people who have systematized their businesses and appear to be taking the easy road, but in order to get a systematized business, those people were not taking the easy road. The easy road is the easier choice, but the easier choice isn’t always right.

Taking the easy road will result in the challenging road going from challenging to nearly impossible. Imagine having to do 50 videos in a month. Doing 1-3 videos a day would result in some spare time to relax and know that all 50 videos are done. Waiting until the last 5 days to do 50 videos will lead to a lot of cramming.

The best thing to do is to take the challenging road right from the start. That way, you will be able to get your work done before anyone else, and more importantly, before the challenging road becomes the nearly impossible challenging road.
