When It Rains, It Pours

July 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

When a sale comes in, the product gets attention. When you get one sale, more sales will come in. Then, the sales start to pour in. A rainstorm starts with raindrops. When more drops come down, a drizzle of sales turns into a big rainstorm of sales.

Some people buy your products, then more people buy your products, and finally, client after client is coming to buy your product.

The Secret Formula To Success

July 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Have you ever wondered if there was a secret formula to success? The answer is that there is indeed a secret formula to success. It’s a complicated formula, and it isn’t as easy as finding the area of a shape.

The secret formula to success is being consistent and being able to learn as much as possible. My blog posts come from things that I learn in school, outside of school, or by reading books.

Once you constantly obtain a lot of knowledge, make sure you are doing the work at the same time. Knowledge allows you to do the work that will allow you to be successful.

Finally, as Steve Jobs said, think differently. Don’t be like the competition. Be different, be unique, and be you.

Don’t Give Yourself Too Much Work To Do

July 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

No matter how dedicated you are to your business, you can’t give yourself too much work. I had a goal to publish 1 book every month, but that task proved to be a difficult one to complete. I will be publishing 1 book every 2 months. That’s not as much work, and it allows me to write more quality content.

Don’t be afraid to give yourself less work. You need to have fun outside of your business. However, make sure you give yourself some work to do.

Why It’s Good To Say No

July 26, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Entrepreneurs don’t like to say no to a lot of poeple. They know what it was like to be rejected, and they don’t want to give someone else that feeling of rejection.

The ability to say no is a privilege. If you say no to an idea, that means you have a lot of other ideas as well. If you say no to an applicant, it means you have a lot of applicants.

Entrepreneurs say no to someone not because they want the other person to feel rejected. Entrepreneurs say no to someone because they have a lot of options.

Every home run derby consists of four players. There are many players who are worthy to play, but only four players from each league can be chosen.

Tweet A Book

July 26, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I decided to request my archive of my tweets today. At the time, I had 9,727 tweets. I remembered hearing that with all of the blogging, tweeting, and emailing the average person does, that average person can write a book every 15 days.

I decided to see how many words all of my tweets had combined. I imagined that there would be able 50,000 or 60,000 words or something similar. The result of all of my tweets was a staggering 132,078 words. That’s about 13 words per tweet done 9,727 times (and counting).

132,078 words is over 300 pages on the Kindle. This blog is currently up to almost 50,000 words. If you send someone a really long text, the person who got the text might say, “This person sent me a book.” It’s an exaggeration, but if you combine all of the texts, or tweets in this case, you can actually write a book.

There’s Always Enough Time

July 25, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The problem with new entrepreneurs is that they think there isn’t enough time to work on their business. The truth is that there is always enough time. Although no one is expected to stay up an entire day just to get some work done, it is possible to do some work.

Enough time to do some work doesn’t always mean working for hours every day. Working for a small amount of time is better than not working at all.

The go-to excuse is saying there wasn’t enough time to get the work done. There is rarely a moment when anyone really has no time at all to do some work.
