3 Growth Strategies All Top Influencers Use To Gain Visibility

January 20, 2021 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

Do you wonder what makes top influencers tick? What are the common strategies they’re using to expand their audiences and reach more people?

While influencers deploy a number of platforms and tactics, the core strategies remain the same. Understanding these core strategies and addressing them in your business will give you the playbook you need to become an influencer in your space.

#1: Meet New People Often

Between all of the tactics and platforms, it’s easy to forget the most essential element of any successful business: the ability to turn people into customers.

You don’t get to turn people into customers unless they are aware of what you have to offer. If you want more people to know about what you do, you have to meet more people.

While in-person networking events are still in limbo for the most part, you can still participate in Facebook Groups, start a podcast where you interview guests, and even launch a virtual summit if you’re courageous and ready to further accelerate your business.

The more people you meet, the more introductions you’ll get. People you meet will know people who you should know but don’t know quite yet. Deepen the relationships with each person you meet, and they’ll connect you to even more people. This will compound over time, and it’s why the top influencers tend to get featured on so many podcasts and in many articles.

Podcasting is the best way to meet new people. Guests will happily come on your show because they want to get in front of your audience. In return, most guests will promote your show to their audiences, and you get to meet more people in the process.

#2: Become A Prolific Content Creator

You can’t actively meet new people throughout the day. You’ll want some downtime, conversations with family, and sleep. However, there are many agents who work on the behalf of top influencers.

Those agents are their pieces of content. Regardless of the time of day, people can still consume your content. Each day, I wake up to a flurry of engagement notifications on Medium. While I’m sleeping or away from my computer, my content continues to work for me and attract more people to my brand.

Not only does content help you gain visibility, but you’ll also sell more products. Many people see free content as a preview of the quality of your products and services. If you produce quality content, people will associate that quality with your offers. The reverse is also true if you rush your content and it doesn’t provide much value.

Becoming a prolific content creator is as easy as small daily actions. Writing 1,000 words per day, creating 1 video per day, or interviewing 1 person on your podcast each day are three great ways to get started. Nothing’s stopping you from doing all three of those activities each day.

#3: Focusing On A Few Social Networks

It’s no secret that many top influencers utilize social networks to gain additional visibility. However, some influencers throw around the word omnipresence and encourage you to be active on every social network.

While this is a great long-term goal, it’s not practical in the beginning. Each social network requires time to learn, create content, and engage with your community. As you spread your time across more social networks, you end up becoming a “Jack of all trades, master of none.”

Avoiding this fate is as simple as deciding on the 1-3 social networks you will prioritize. At the start, you should be omnipresent so you get a better understanding of which social networks yield better results. Once you figure out your top social networks, just focus on those.

You can focus on additional social networks later on as your business grows and you have enough financial muscle to delegate some tasks.

You won’t make a lot of money by exclusively focusing on social media. These platforms are meant to build relationships and lead people to your email list. The email list is where most of the money resides.

Platforms like YouTube pay their creators through Google Adsense, but you open the doors to far greater income potential if you direct your social media followers to a free opt-in and advance those relationships.

Influencers have a variety of techniques they use to grow their audiences and cement their statuses within their industries. However, all of the techniques revolve around the core strategies we have explored in this article.

If you modify your business model to place a greater emphasis on these core strategies, you’ll significantly boost your visibility over time.

The Social Media Marketing Strategy To Grow On Every Platform

January 10, 2021 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Would you like to grow on every social network? Many marketers talk about achieving omnipresence, but how can we actually achieve that status…without having a massive team?

Growing on every social network gives you more touch points between you and your audience. The more you show up in front of your audience, the more likely your followers will become future customers.

The main issue with social media is the time investment. You spend so much time creating posts, engaging with people, and growing your audience…but then what?

Most people approach social media marketing by stretching themselves too thin. They get excited about growing on all of the platforms but end up growing on none of them.

In this article, you’ll learn the solution to this dilemma and how you can grow on every social network you want to grow on.

Focus On Two Social Networks

Growing on every social network requires that you have a large audience. It’s easier to grow on one platform when you already have 100,000 engaged followers on another platform.

Once you have a massive platform on a single social network, start directing those followers to your other social networks. Let your audience know they can expect exclusive content on the other social networks so they have a reason to follow you on those platforms.

Using one platform to grow on several platforms will give you a massive head start on each new social network you prioritize. This head start will then help you with the algorithms and the traction will continue to compound.

Build Bridges

Not only should you use your top social network to direct traffic to your other platforms, but you should also use your other platforms to direct traffic to each other. Building bridges across your social media platforms makes it easier for your followers to bounce around the content you’ve posted on different platforms.

Don’t be in a rush to build out many bridges at once. Just build them one at a time. If your main social network is YouTube, and you want to grow on Instagram, focus on directing your YouTube subscribers to Instagram first.

Once you have reached a high enough following on Instagram, tell your YouTube subscribers to follow you on another platform such as Pinterest. You can follow suite by telling your Instagram followers to follow you on Pinterest for exclusive content.

You should also tell your Instagram followers about your new video uploads. Some will need the reminder and others will find you on Instagram for the first time due to the compounded traction.

One bridge at a time. Don’t rush to build Rome in a day. You can add other social networks to the mix based on the time investment and the results you’re seeing at the moment.
