We Always Try To Explain Everything

February 24, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The title of this blog post is true. As human beings, we always try to explain everything (why it happens, how it happens, etc) even if we do not know the answer ourselves. There are some unexplainable miracles that have occurred throughout history that we try to explain. Sometimes, we explain something we do not fully understand just to feel more confident and get some reassurance that what we say is correct. We must learn to explain only what we fully know because if we try to explain something we do not know, we could be corrupting the minds of our listeners.

Natural Selection In Our Daily Lives

February 23, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Natural Selection is a theory that was proposed by Chales Darwin stating that favorable traits and characteristics of an animal would be passed onto other animals since the animals with the desired trait are more likely to reproduce than animals without the desired trait. I know that is a long sentence, but basically the animal with the desired trait is more likely to have offspring than the animal that does not have the desired trait (because then predators will be able to catch it). Natural Selection is nature’s way of selecting which traits will be present in the next generation of a species. However, we go through a similar process in our lives. The process we go through is going through the pros and cons of different places and eliminating the unfavorable places. My brother and I were looking at various colleges and universities recently and pinpointing the pros and cons of the colleges and universities is sometimes easy but can also be difficult. Nature has its way of choosing different traits as we have to make decisions on our own, but the decisions we make must have a positive impact on our lives.

Half The Battle

February 22, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

What is half the battle? Many people say that showing is only half the battle, but I object to this view. Showing up is just showing up, and that doesn’t require much thought or energy. If showing up isn’t half the battle, then what is? I believe that commitment is half the battle because when you are commited, you set goals for yourself. When trying to lose weight, someone can show up to the gym, but that person has to be commited to losing weight. You can show up, but you also have to lift those 20 pound weights at the same time.

Why Testimonials Are Important For Business

February 21, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Having a reliable product is only half the battle. The content written about a product can say anything, even if the content represents a false interpretation of the product. You can always say your product is reliable, but you’re the one who is getting the extra dollar or so if someone buys your product. If you have customers rate your product, you will see the true value of your product, suggestions from your fan base, and when someone says something good about your product, potential customers can see that comment. If you get a lot of good comments and testimonials about your product, potential customers are more likely to buy your product.

The Unlikely One

There is always someone who we don’t like. However, that person can prove to be very helpful for your business. It is important to be able to deal with the people you don’t like because they can teach you a new trick or method that will help your business. Don’t be closed to suggestion, no matter who is the one giving the suggestions.

Setting The Bar

February 19, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

When we want goals, we set the bar. This is what we have to do within a certain period of time. I have a lot of goals such as getting over 5,000 Twitter followers, running a mile in under 5 minutes, and making over $1,000 a month online all before the summer. Out of all of these goals, earning $1,000 a month for me will probably be the hardest since it requires the most work although it is very possible for me to achieve. I usually make over $300 a month right now, but with some work and me finding other ways to make money online, I could make that extra $700. There is no way you could set the bar too high because if you try to reach that bar, you are better than you left off. Setting the bar too low will prevent you from unlocking your true potential.
