Why We All Love Christmas Music

November 29, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Christmas time is the most wonderful time of the year. We all stop our work to listen to the radio. Many of the Christmas songs have been around for a while. For most Christmas songs on the radio, remembering when they weren’t on the radio at this time is very difficult.

The Christmas music gives us that happy feeling that Christmas is approaching. On December 27th, when all of the Christmas music stops, everyone gets sad. 300 days later, Christmas music comes back, the jingle bells ring once again. Everyone is watching It’s A Wonderful Life, The Polar Express, and all of the other Christmas movies. The Christmas music is the starting point for what we have been waiting for. The Christmas music reawakens the desire for Christmas. Then, after watching movies, watching the snow fall, and looking at a countdown to Christmas on the web, we realize that Christmas is coming very soon.

Christmas music is soothing, but if Christmas music were played in July, it wouldn’t get as much attention. Everyone knows well in advance when the Christmas music goes on the radio…some time after Halloween but before Thanksgiving.

In order to get the most sales from your product, people need to know about your product well in advance. Tell people about your product months or even a year before it comes out. They’ll be waiting.

The Chain Effect Of Success

November 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

In order to achieve success, you have to go after it. That’s where everything stops. Everyone knows the significance of going after success, but the work proves to be very challenging. Getting there proves to be difficult because not everyone knows the secret about success.

The secret about success is that it’s a chain effect. Once you are successful in a certain area, you will be successful in similar areas as well. Someone who is successful in one sport tends to be successful in other sports as well. Some baseball players are also good football players. Some football players are also good baseball players. Some basketball players have also played baseball.

Once you are successful in one area, the chain effect of success automatically makes you become successful in other areas as well. In these other areas, the same rules apply. You need a muscular upper body in order to be really good at both football and basketball. You need to know how to write very well in order to be both a remarkable author and blogger.

Focus on one area, and go after success in that area. Once you succeed in one area, you automatically succeed in other areas as well.

What Are You Thankful For?

November 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. On this day, we recall what we are thankful for, but instead of recalling what we are thankful for every day of the year, most people only recall what they are thankful for on this one day. There are 364 other days of the year and barely 30 days left before the New Year.

Instead of just feeling thankful on Thanksgiving, we should feel thankful all year long. Here is a quick but very beneficial activity that will allow you to be thankful.

  1. Recall what you are thankful for.
  2. Write all of it down on a piece of paper.
  3. Tape that piece of paper to one of the walls in your room.

What are you thankful for?

Are You Blogging For The Right Reasons?

November 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Blogging has been revealed as a way of increasing traffic, making sales, getting more followers, placing the ad units, and so on. However, those are not the right reasons to blog.

The primary reason you should be blogging is because you like to write and you like what you write about. In the beginning, any new blog will struggle to a certain degree to get the traffic, sales, followers, and advertising money. The people who blog just for the traffic, sales, followers, and advertising money will quickly be disappointed when their blogs don’t do well in the beginning.

These people don’t stick with blogging because they quickly realize it will take a long time before their blog becomes the next big thing. If you are writing blog post after blog post because you love what you do, then the traffic, sales, followers, and advertising money (if you really want to put ads on your blog) will come a byproducts.

Don’t blog for the fame. After you blog long enough, you do get the fame, but don’t just write blog posts for the fame. Love what you do because you’re going to be doing what you do for a long time.

The 5 Most Common Blogging Mistakes And How To Fix Them

November 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Creating a blog has become very easy. Over a million blogs are created every day. However, most blogs get stuck at only a few visitors a day and stay that way too long. There are a lot of mistakes that get made, but these are the 5 most common mistakes that most blogs make.

  1. Not posting consistently. People who just created their blogs get excited and write blog post after blog post. This short burst of energy leads to 5 blog posts being written in a single day. However, there aren’t any blog posts for the next day or the day after that. Weeks, months, or even years after the first blog post, when a new blog post gets published becomes uncertain. People then lose interest in that blog.

How To Fix The Problem: Schedule blog posts to your comfort, but schedule them on a consistent basis. If you want to publish a blog post once a week, schedule all of your blog posts a week in advance. As you publish more blog posts at specific times or days of the week, your visitors will notice. If people know when to expect new content, they will be on your blog at that time. I recommend publishing at least one blog post every day.

  1. Giving a really big sales pitch too early. The purpose of a blog is to allow people to know you for free. After they subscribe to your blog, they will get to know who you are through your content. If they like what they see, then they will buy your product. If you promote a product all over your blog before people have the opportunity to read your content or subscribe to your blog, you will scare people away.

How To Fix The Problem: Showcasing a product on your blog is important. However, you shouldn’t showcase the product too many times on your blog or else first time visitors will be annoyed. Show your products on the sidebar of your blog so they don’t get in the way of your content. The content on your blog leads to people buying your products.

  1. Not having social media sharing buttons. Some of your visitors may want to share one of your blog posts with their followers. Without social media sharing buttons, the process of sharing your blog posts becomes more difficult for the visitor.

How To Fix The Problem: Make it easy for your visitors to share your blog posts by adding these buttons to the top or bottom of all of your blog posts. For my blog, all of the social media sharing buttons are at the bottom. When you put these buttons in your blog posts, give your visitors a bunch of options. I have social media sharing buttons for five social networks. Some bloggers also have a slide down on the side of their blog with more social media sharing options.

  1. Not sharing your own social networks. Once people leave your blog, they won’t come back unless they remember who you are. The best way to help people remember who you are is by giving them links to your social networks. Without giving your visitors the links to your social networks, there is a risk that they forget about you for a while.

How To Fix The Problem: By including the links to your social networks, you will be able to get more followers on those social networks, and people will remember you. There is a lot of competition on the web, and in order to claim your place, people need to know who you are and not forget. There are a lot of WordPress plugins that will make your social network buttons look good and link to your accounts. You can also have a picture of the social network’s logo on your sidebar and have it link to your social network when it gets clicked.

  1. Not Utilizing SEO Properly. There are a lot of ways to increase the SEO of your blog. However, a blog that is not utilizing SEO properly will not appear anywhere near Page 1 on Google. SEO leads to more traffic from Google which is where a majority of blogs get found.

How To Fix The Problem: There are numerous ways to increase SEO. One way to increase SEO is by reducing your blog’s bounce back rate. There are also some tips about increasing SEO here.

By fixing these problems, your blog will grow dramatically. When I fixed these problems on my blog, my daily traffic had a 300% increase. By fixing these mistakes, your blog will be able to grow dramatically.

One Reason To Search Through Your DM Inbox on Twitter

November 26, 2013 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Most of direct messages from Twitter users are spam. It seems as if every DM is an automated tweet. This has resulted in less people reading the DMs they got. There is also the option to automatically mark all of the DMs you get on Twitter as read which reduces the amount of times people read the DMs they got. One day, I decided to go through all of the DMs people sent me.

Just as I expected, most of the DMs were spam. However, there were some DMs that were not spam. Some of the people who sent me DMs were asking me questions. Luckily for me, those DMs were sent out recently. I was able to answer questions and get replies.

The reason you should look through the DMs in your inbox is because you never know what any of the DMs are going to say. Some of the DMs are questions from your followers while others will be opportunities for your business to grow.

Reading through the DMs you got on Twitter may only take up a few minutes of your day. One of those DMs could be a game changer for your business that dramatically increases your visibility.
