Your mindset controls who you become. I’m sure you’ve read an inspirational quote that had something to do with the mind.

The mindset is very powerful, but it can also be very destructive. The mindset of an individual is the make or break point of any business. If you think you can, you will. If you think you can’t, you won’t.

Your mindset is the best life hack you have for achieving greatness. Think positively, and good things will happen to you.

No one has the power to change your mindset but yourself. If your mindset needs changing, no one else can provide it for you. You need to want the change to happen in order to respond and manifest in that change.

Change The Answers By Changing Your Questions

“Am I doing a good job at what I’m doing?”

A friend would always say yes. They would say you’re absolutely perfect in what you’re doing. Friends don’t want you to feel bad, so they aren’t going to say you’re doing something wrong.

Some people can’t take corrective criticism which is why other people hold back the slightest thought of saying the word “no”.

“What’s the problem with bloggers today?”

A friend who knew enough about blogging would tell you everything that they didn’t like. Maybe they think a blog bundled up with affiliate links is annoying. Maybe they think that the pop-up is annoying.

“What’s great about bloggers today?”

That same friend may say how frequently they get sent updates, the quality content, how a blogger makes you want to buy a product without constantly reminding you about it, or how someone’s blog is neatly organized.

Don’t ask people how you’re doing. Ask people how people of your niche are doing, what they like, and what they don’t like about people in your niche.

Change The Motions

Showing up, doing as you are assigned, and then being done for the day is going through the motions. Doing what you have been doing for your business for many months is going through the motions. A majority of people go through the motions because they think it’s safe.

Going through the motions can actually be dangerous. Many of your competitors go through the motions too. The problem is that when a customer is looking to find differences between you and the competitor, it won’t work. The customer will just look at the remarkable competitor and go with their products and services.

Going through the motions prevents remarkable things from happening. Going to the next level doesn’t happen by doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. That’s insanity, and it doesn’t work.

The motions are a trap. The only way to avoid the trap is to be different and remarkable. Give customers a reason to choose you over the competitor. Better yet, give your customer numerous reasons to choose you over the competition.

The problem is that when your motions change, your competition’s motions may change as well. If you lower prices, bigger companies will lower their prices too and take away your customers. This is why we must constantly change our motions. The more we change our motions, the less the competition will be able to keep up. The competition will be like a beat up car trying to go faster than a race car. It won’t happen, but you only get as fast as the race car by changing the motions.

It’s not about going through the motions. It’s about changing the motions as many times as you can.

Guide To Selling Free Products

There are more people coming up with free products. Most of these involve a kind of download so the seller doesn’t lose any money by offering something for free. It’s more common on blogs nowadays, and I’m offering free stuff as well. When you subscribe to my blog, you’ll get the free Mastering Pinterest Video Tutorial.
However, with so many free products, it’s becoming more challenging to stand out. There are 4 tactics that will allow you to create the best free product, and all of those methods start with one of the letters in the word “free.”
Fundamentals: In your free product, give people some of the basics that they need to know. With the basics, people will be able to start something and learn more about it along the way. If you have a similar product that costs money, present a small problem in your free product that can only be solved by buying the other product. If you provide the basics for using Facebook as a free product, and you have a book with more information, tell people about that product at the end of your book. The free product is the one with the fundamentals. The paid product has more than the fundamentals.
Role: What’s your role? Are you an Instagram savvy person, or do you know how to cook a really good stew? Tell people about your role and what you do while promoting some of your services and social networks.
Empower: A free product should educate a person with knowledge they didn’t have before. After you educate someone, empower that person by telling them that they can do Task A. If you educate someone with new knowledge and empower them, they will remember you. As more people remember you, more people will visit you on a daily basis and buy your other products.
Exclusive: Offer the free product on one place. If your free product is a short book, put it on your blog. Putting it on Amazon or iTunes won’t do the justice because it takes people away from your blog. Another thing you need to do is tell people that the free product is exclusively for people who are subscribed to your blog.
It’s important to get the best out of your free products. If you’re offering something for free, that product should make people remember you whether that means following you on a social network or being subscribed to your blog. People who remember you will buy your products down the line. Free products are very important to utilize, and utilizing them well will allow you to get the best results for your time and effort to create and make that product free.

What Do They Want?

If you can answer that question, and make something that they want, you’ll be able to create a product that stands out, gets a lot of media attention, and becomes a bestseller. If you can’t answer that question right now, answer that question. The bestselling products are the ones that solve problems or are the ones that are in high demand. Anything that solves a big problem ends up going in high demand, so it’s best to find out what they want.
If you create something for them, they will buy the product. If you create something for yourself, you’ll only get a few sales. What do they want, and are you in a position to give them what they want?

Three Characteristics That Make Up The Perfect Tweet

Not all tweets are created equal. Some tweets get more retweets and interaction than other tweets. The retweets and interaction have a lot to do with enough people actually seeing the tweet. However, creating the perfect tweet is possible. However, the perfect tweet differs for each Twitter user.

The perfect tweet can mean taking advantage of a trending topic and say something humorous about that trending topic. The perfect tweet could be a link to a great blog post. There are different ways to tweet the perfect tweet, but there are three characteristic that all perfect tweets have.

The first characteristic of a perfect tweet is that people need to be interested in the topic you tweet about. The news stories get retweeted because many people want to know about what’s going on. A poorly done Vine video won’t get a lot of attention. However, you can’t tweet for everyone. There are a lot of social media enthusiasts, but if you tweet about social media, there is a real possibility that someone you’re tweeting out to isn’t a social media enthusiast. As long as you get attention from a majority of your followers, you’re tweet is going to get retweeted a lot.

The second characteristic of a perfect tweet is that your tweet must be easy to understand. Stuffing a tweet with hashtags makes the tweet more difficult to understand. A tweet with typos is going to be difficult to understand as well. If someone gets confused when they read a tweet, that tweet is not a perfect tweet. If one person gets confused by a tweet, chances are other people will be confused by that tweet as well.

The third characteristic of a perfect tweet is that the tweeter or one of the first people to retweet that tweet is very popular. Some people are going to disagree with this third characteristic since popularity doesn’t decide how good a tweet is written. A perfect tweet is one that is a tweet of quality and a tweet that gets shared a lot. The perfect tweet cannot be the greatest secret. If it were a secret, it wouldn’t be perfect. Popularity will result in more retweets, and more retweets will result in more people knowing about you.

It’s very important that you don’t view popularity as being the big guy with 100,000 followers. You can be popular with only 500 followers that read every tweet you send out and retweet as many of your tweets as they can. When it comes to popularity, it isn’t a quantity game. It’s a quality game.

Those are the three characteristics that make up a perfect tweet. Think about these characteristics as you send out or schedule your tweets today so you can end up with the next perfect tweet.
