Escaping The Grind

What is the grind and what are you escaping from? Is there even a grind at all? If you don’t like what you do, you’re in the grind. Every day is another day of the grind.

If you’re thinking of escaping the grind, there’s no reason to continue with the grind. You don’t like the grind, and you won’t like it. The person who doesn’t like being a doctor and is a doctor is going through the grind. The person who doesn’t like being a car mechanic and is a car mechanic is going through the grind.

If you’re in the grind, you need to escape that grind. You don’t escape the grind by walking into another grind. If you don’t like being a doctor, and you’re a doctor, going into a profession you don’t like isn’t an escape from the grind.

The only way to escape from the grind is to do what you love. Everyone wants their own blog and social networks. If that’s a grind for you, it won’t work. If being a doctor is like going through the grind, it won’t work. If you love being a doctor, you’ve escaped the grind.

You can go from profession to profession but still be in the grind. When you stick with a profession, and you like it, you have escaped the grind. When you escape the grind, you will be able to achieve greatness.

When people figure out what they are, will they be impressed? There are many writers, but not all of them are giving themselves extra rules to follow. Some writers strive to achieve alliteration in every line or paragraph. That’s easier said than done.

Dr. Seuss’ masterful rhyming techniques got noticed. People marveled at what he was able to do as a writer.

Some people publish blog posts every day while others achieve a certain standard in their writing.

We are all forced to follow rules. It’s inevitable. Whether you can’t wear jeans to work or were told to go up to the chalkboard, we are all forced to follow some rules. However, the rules that you give yourself to follow are going to be the ones that you benefit you the most. What rules are you going to give yourself?

It Was A Success

Last summer, I decided to send out two blog posts every day. Today, I am still doing that, and the overall result has been a success.

It’s not easy to change something, but when it gets changed, you might benefit from it greatly. I would have about 300 posts published. Now I have 400 posts published. I have also had more time to practice writing.

Take the leap and pursue your goals. It’s worth it.

Must-Do List

There are people who are writing down everything they need to accomplish. The problem is that not all of those things get accomplished. The problem is that people are writing their ideas on a to-do list.

A to-do list allows you to write things down that you need to get accomplished. However, the title, to-do list, isn’t as motivating as a must-do list.

There are some things that you will really need to get accomplished. If you put them on a to-do list, it’s optional. If you put them on a must-do list, they’re not optional anymore. You actually have to be committed to accomplishing those goals.

Your Blog Is A Book

I have the word count for all of my blog posts. Instead of blogging for free, I could have turned all of this content into a 200 page paperback book. People wouldn’t listen as much.

The secret to writing a book is that it doesn’t have a price tag. It doesn’t have to be a paperback or a digital copy being sold as an eBook. The truth is your blog is your own book. What’s even better is that your blog is a book that never ends, and it’s free for everyone.
