March 2019 Performance Report

March 31, 2019 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

March was a very productive month for me. I still feel the high from New Media Summit a month out, and I see it carrying over to the next New Media Summit event.

Basically, I have been amped this whole month in a way like never before. For this performance report, I’ll share some of the BIG changes I’ve made this month and what’s happening for the future.

Virtual Summits

I only have plans for five more virtual summits this year. I know I said I’d go out there and do 10 virtual summits, and while I have done two of them so far, 10 would have been very difficult to pull off.

I opted to cut three from the list to better focus on the remaining five.

I can save future ideas for 2020 but only see myself doing four virtual summits each year at the max. I’d only extend that number if some of the other summits were collaborative.

The New Podcast Is Official

In case you missed my Instagram activity, Justin Schenck was the first person to guess the title for my upcoming podcast.

I am excited to announce that my second podcast will be called…

The Profitable Public Speaking Podcast 🙂

I am super excited about this show and have already booked several guests. The plan is to come out with two episodes each week…Tuesdays and Thursdays.

More Podcasts On The Way…

Regardless of how I do it, I enjoy interviewing people. Each interview allows me to learn more about my niche, grow my audience, and attract more customers to my products.

One of the reasons I scaled down on virtual summits (granted, I still aim to do at least 4 of them in 2020 even with the traveling I plan on doing) is to make room for additional podcasts.

I am going to see how the Profitable Public Speaking Podcast goes to determine the frequency of new podcast launches. Right now I have three additional podcast ideas I’m considering and know which one I’d pick first.

I like the idea of interviewing at least 10 people each week. It’s something I could never do with Breakthrough Success alone, but more podcasts creates that possibility even after a summit launch.

My Special Funnel Service

The Profitable Public Speaking Podcast was 100% inspired by the New Media Summit. My new funnel service (and most of what I mention from here forward) falls in the same category.

During my time at the New Media Summit, I talked with a few people who used ClickFunnels.

ClickFunnels was something I briefly tried before but gave up on because I was satisfied with OptimizePress. However, attending the event encouraged me to give ClickFunnels a second look, and I couldn’t be happier.

Basically, ClickFunnels lets you easily create the funnels and have all of the pages talk to each other. Even though OptimizePress makes this easier than most options, it’s still cumbersome compared to ClickFunnels.

Less time working on the tech end and more time growing the business.

So this is where my special funnel service comes in. If you do not have a ClickFunnels account, I will create your entire funnel for you and include the swipe copy as a bonus. However, you must join ClickFunnels through my link to get this free service.

You can email me marc@marcguberti.com or let me know in the comments if you’re interested in the free funnel.

I plan on charging thousands of dollars for this service in the future, but right now, I see this as a win-win because more people get on ClickFunnels and I make an affiliate commission for each person I create a funnel for.

Biggest Game Changers: Action Sheets + Income Tracking

The two biggest game changers I attribute to my experience from the New Media Summit are my Action Sheets and Income Tracking.

We’ll start by getting income out of the way since it’s not one I cover in Performance Reports.

My preference isn’t to share any numbers, but I will share how I track my income.

I have a Numbers spreadsheet that lists all of the main ways I generate income for my brand. Then, I set goals for what each of those should look like by the end of the month.

Below that spreadsheet is an additional one that shows actual results. This allows me to compare and see which months I over perform and which months weren’t as good. I can track my performance based on the bottom line, profit (I also track expenses), and individual segments within my brand.

The other big game changer is the Action Sheets that I now use every day. I currently have five Action Sheets that cover the following:

  • Creation
  • Post-Production
  • Promotion
  • Outreach
  • Self-Education

I use these Action Sheets to create weekly goals and identify which dates I need to be doing what.

The biggest reason people don’t make it is because they don’t get clear and organized on what they need to be doing.

New Book: The Wealthy Author

If you’ve been following me on social media or on my email list, you might have heard about this book at least once.

The Wealthy Author helps readers make their books work for them and earn passive income.

True to the premise of the book, I went out and marketed it so it would earn me passive income over the long-term.

Right now I have multiple sales coming in each day and will continue building the momentum with Amazon Ads.

Over 100 people got their copy of The Wealthy Author during the preorder campaign and we hit several new release and bestseller lists.

I honestly didn’t plan for the preorder to be as good as it was. My book briefly had an Amazon Ranking under 5000, and I know it would probably be better if I approached it like an all-out launch.

However, I just saw The Wealthy Author as something that could generate passive income over the long-term, so I didn’t think about going that in-depth for the initial launch.

Now seeing what I did with The Wealthy Author, I now see the potential for what could happen if I even get a few authors involved with the book launch.

For Write And Grow Rich which I co-wrote with 23 other authors, I saw the full power of a book launch team. The book sold thousands of copies and became a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller.

I didn’t want to go that deep with The Wealthy Author and may not do a book launch on the scale of Write And Grow Rich for a while.

However, I plan on publish a book every 4-6 weeks which gives me ample opportunities to share new books with my community and reach more readers.

In Conclusion

I have repeatedly mentioned the New Media Summit throughout my Performance Report. If you go to the right events, they can dramatically transform your business.

In my case, I get more clarity, but I also created systems that allowed me to preserve my sense of clarity.
