There’s A Big Difference Between 90,000 and 100,000

When most people think about the difference between 90,000 and 100,000, they think of 10,000. When it comes to business, blogging, and social networks, the difference between 90,000 and 100,000 is an entire digit, and that difference means a lot. The moment I reached a combined total of 90,000 followers on all of my social networks combined, I included a widget with all of my social media icons that said, “Follow Marc and Join 90,000 Other Readers.” A few weeks later, I had a combined total of 100,000 followers on all of my social networks. That’s when I changed the widget from “Follow Marc and Join 90,000 Other Readers” to “Follow Marc and Join 100,000 Other Readers.”

The results were huge, but in a way that I did not expect. Originally, I only saw this as a way to boost my credibility, but something else happened as well. I got more blog subscribers. On the day I made the change, I got four times as many subscribers as I get on an average day. The 100,000 boosted my credibility and resulted in more people wanting to subscribe for updates.

The main reason that 100,000 is different from 90,000 is because few people make the six figure club. Everyone who is not in the six figure club wants to be in the six figure club. 90,000 may be close to the six figure club, but in the end, it only has five figures. Real numbers are becoming more important than ever because they highlight potential, and if you have the big numbers, people will follow you so they can learn how to get those big numbers as well. The 5 Elements Of A Remarkable Story

Storytelling has been a part of humanity for thousands of years. From oral tradition to the manuscript, stories are a part of humanity that will never go away. Young kids listen to bedtime stories as they fall asleep. They read about fictional characters and then explore nonfiction stories. Whether we read books or hear it from someone else, we will never outgrow our need for good stories.

But what about your story? Chances are you have a remarkable story. You have lost a lot of pounds, been more productive than ever before, got a big accomplishment, went from rags to riches, or something.

In order to get the optimal impact from your remarkable story (word of mouth marketing, an increase in sales, etc), you need to implement the elements of a remarkable story.

The first element of a remarkable story is struggle. When, where, and how did you struggle? Were you struggling to get work done, were you struggling to put meat on the table, or were you struggling in another way? People need to know the struggle in order to get an idea of how far you have come.

The second element of a remarkable story is the life changing moment. There was a day in your life when you decided the way you were living was not good enough. This turning point allowed you to get to where you are today. Talk in detail about the life changing moment. Many people remember their life changing moments as if they were yesterday.

The third element of a remarkable story is implementing the life change. Maybe you had to put in some extra hours at the office, or you decided that you needed to do a new workout.

The fourth element of a remarkable story is the results. Where did the work get you. Did you get thousands of followers, sell a business for over a million dollars, or something else? The more positive results you can come up with, the better.

The fifth and final element of a remarkable story is your philosophy. Now that people have read your remarkable story, tell them your philosophy. This gives you a chance to write a mini blog post in your remarkable story. If your philosophy makes a lot of sense, people will come to the conclusion that your blog posts are quality content that also make a lot of sense.

5 Ways To Gain An Edge On The Competition

The competition is fierce. Competitors are trying to gain an edge in any way possible. Since the ways we can communicate have been dramatically enhanced, niches are getting more crowded than ever before in history. An entrepreneur from Canada has to compete with an entrepreneur from India since the entire world has been connected. Human interaction has never been as frequent as it is now, and people from Canada and India are able to talk and compete with each other.

There are ways to get an edge on the competition and lead the stampede. Here are 5 ways to do that:

  1. Create something remarkable. Be the person who stands out and leads the stampede. By standing out and leading the stampede, you will get more attention.
  2. Focus on quality, price, convenience, or a combination of two. They all have their benefits, but you need to decide which one works best for you.
  3. Have the right mindset and vision. Have the “I can” mindset that will allow you to accomplish goals beyond your wildest dreams. You need the right mind combined with the right vision to give yourself the motivation you need to pass your competition.
  4. Focus on what the competition does not focus on. By focusing on different things, you will attract clients who always wanted someone to focus on what you are focusing on now. If you focus on low prices while your competitors only focus on quality, you will get more clients because you are the only one who focuses on low prices.
  5. Experiment and learn from them. By experimenting with different marketing strategies and products, you will be able to learn faster than the competition. By learning faster than the competition, you will be able to create something remarkable in a faster amount of time.

The Niche Stampede

The competition is looking for the pattern that works. Lower prices may be the pattern. Quality with a temporary coupon may be the pattern. No matter what the pattern is, the competition is looking for the pattern that works.

When the pattern that works is found, most of the competition learns about it. The result is a stampede of competitors trying to implement the pattern and have the pattern work for them. The pattern will work for the competitors, but it will work differently for different people. Some of the competitors will be able to get results similar to the person who found the pattern. Others will end up with something that works, but the results won’t be as good.

In order to lead the stampede, you need to be different from the competition while implementing the pattern that works. That is how you will be able to stand out and ultimately lead the stampede.
