Why Knowing Your Target Audience Is Super Important

May 10, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Many people make the mistake as defining their target audience as anyone who is on Planet Earth or in outer space. By making their audience too big, these people are not able to zone in on their targeted audience–the people who care about and appreciate what these people do. Your targeted audience consists of the people who will buy your products, read your blog posts, and eventually become returning customers.

By knowing your target audience, you will be able to tap into the audience that cares the most about what you provide. People who care a lot about home and gardening products will not care as much about a blog about hotel marketing. Knowing your targeted audience allows you to create lists of people to interact with, build connections with, and turn into customers.

Since a targeted audience cares about what you do, they are more likely to tell their friends about you. As your blog and products spread through word of mouth, you will get more visitors and sales. Knowing your target audience is the starting point towards creating a strategy. Creating a strategy and then implementing that strategy is the starting point towards success.

Knowing your targeted audience will allow you to interact with the right people and make the right connections. The most successful social media power users are the ones who have built strong presences on various social networks with targeted followers. If you have not identified your targeted audience, then you need to do that right now. If you have already identified your targeted audience, then you are one step closer towards becoming very successful.

3 Ways To Obtain People’s Email Addresses

February 16, 2014 by Marc Guberti 6 Comments

emailing

A key component towards getting more traffic and just maybe going viral is to have as many email addresses as you can. By obtaining those email addresses, you will be able to put them on a list of subscribers who get notified via email each time you come out with a new blog post or new video. This will allow many of those people to remember who you are. There are numerous ways to get a person’s email address:

  1. Host a contest that requires someone to subscribe to your blog for entry. Who wouldn’t want to get something for free? Whether you are giving away a training course or an iPad, people will want to get in on the contest. As a result, you get their email address.
  2. Tell visitors to enter their email in order to get a free report or video. This will encourage more subscribers. The free incentive will encourage more people to subscribe, and when you notify your subscribers about new blog posts, they will be eager to read them since they already got access to your free report or video.
  3. Have a Q&A on your blog that requires someone to email you to ask their question. Not only does this allow you to get the person’s email address, but you will also be able to have a conversation with this person. By effectively answering that person’s question, you will be seen as an expert.

Gathering email addresses is very important. With those email addresses, you will be able to interact with people at a level that creates stronger connections.

Why Sapping The Competition Is A No-No

December 5, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The best way to become a successful business is by being different from the competition and being remarkable. I have said this many times, and there are others who say the same thing. However, there are some people who decide that sapping competitors of their power is the best approach.

These people try to steal competitors’ clients, create identical products with small tweaks, and ultimately collapse. Once a client has found someone, it isn’t easy to shake that foundation. It may take weeks or even a month before successfully converting a single client. Then there’s numerous other clients to be converted as well. Converting all of those clients is too much work.

Instead of converting your competitors’ clients, focus on the clients that you already have. 80% of your revenue is going to come from 20% of your clients. When you have clients already, you don’t have to keep on searching for success. The success you are looking for lies in your top clients. Your top clients will tell their friends about you through word of mouth, and as a result, you will get more clients.

Your top clients are your recipe of success. These top clients‘ biggest needs can result in products that satisfy those needs. By satisfying the needs of your top clients, you will be able to satisfy the needs of other people as well.

Don’t try to be like the competition. Don’t even try to sap the competitors of their strength. The clients that you already have will allow your business to go places beyond expectation. You already have everything you need to become successful and reach the stars.

Beat The Competition By Satisfying Your Clients’ Needs

November 30, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Successful entrepreneurs don’t focus on creating products for their needs. They focus on creating products for their clients’ needs. People buy products that solve a problem. People buy food because it solves a problem. People buy water because it solves a problem. People buy jackets because it solves a problem. People buy food so they don’t go hungry, water so they don’t go thirsty, and jackets so they aren’t cold during winter.

However, the problems and needs of clients go well beyond food, water, and a jacket. The problems and needs of people are down to the sub-niche. Some people’s problems that need fixing seem so minuscule to everyone else. Every client is also a person that needs to solve problems.

There are going to be clients who need a problem to be solved relating to your niche. In fact, it may also relate to your sub-niche because more people are getting more specific. Instead of asking for help with social media in general, some clients may want help with a specific social network. Instead of asking for help with Twitter in general, some clients may want help with getting more followers. Some clients will also want targeted followers instead of just having a big number of followers.

Your clients have needs. The first thing you need to do is find those needs. The best way to find those needs is by having a Q&A on your blog and social networks. After enough people ask you questions, you will be able to find a common pattern. When you find that common pattern, all you need to do is find an answer. That answer needs to become a product that satisfies all of your clients’ needs.

By satisfying your clients’ needs, you will be able to stand out from the competition. By standing out from the competition, your business will be able to grow like never before.
