Did You Check Your Statistics Today?

July 2, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Chances are…you did. If you didn’t check them already, you’re probably going to check them later today. There are more statistics for us to check such as blog traffic or number of Twitter followers. Checking the statistics is just as bad as checking the inbox: we can’t get out of it.

I check statistics 10 times every day. When I think I am done for the day, I check the statistics of something I ignored or didn’t even know I had. I check the statistics more than I check my email.

There is no way that I am alone. Statistics are used by a lot of people to track the growth of their business, blog, product, and so on. Statistics store information years back, and we can easily access it.

Statistics are valuable to our business, but looking at statistics for too long can stunt business growth.

The Statistics

April 18, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are a lot of things that we can learn from looking at the statistics of our websites and blogs. Statistics provide accurate information about how many visitors you get, how many click outs you get, and how many sales you are able to get each month. Some servers and affiliate programs offer different statistics than others, but it is important to identify all of the important statistics and look at those. You can see a rise in traffic or a decline in traffic for specific websites. One of my Squidoo lenses called 50 Ways To Make Money From Home has received a lot of traffic lately. This lens talks about 10 of the methods that I use to make money while the others are included in my eBook which I promote at the bottom of that lens. This lens went from less than 10 visitors per day in January to over 200 visitors per day right now. I expect this lens to reach 300 visitors in 1 day before the end of April. This lens most likely made a great comeback since everyone wants to know how to make money online. The statistics have taught me one lesson today (and they will teach me many others along the way)–what’s high on demand always gets visitors.

Why Statistics Are Important

March 17, 2013 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

Yesterday was a very important day for my business. I had a lot of free time to look at some of my statistics and create a plan for myself. I noticed a lot of clicks from my Amazon Associate links. The source was from one of my Lego Blogs which gets about 15 visits a day. I don’t update the Lego Blog as much as this one or some of my Squidoo lenses, but the point was that it was getting clicks.

I knew that the Lego Blog was getting clicks, but I write posts for my other blog called Yugioh Philosophy which is all about Yugioh Cards. This blog gets close to 100 visitors a day, and last summer, this blog was getting over 300 visitors a day as well. I am using AutoSurfPro to give my Yugioh Philosophy Blog more traffic. This kind of traffic doesn’t bring the best quality, but it eventually led to me getting 300 quality visitors everyday.

I have created pages on my Yugioh Philosophy Blog with Amazon links. These pages give my blog a more professional feel and allows me to sell Yugioh Cards. If a Lego Blog got close to 100 clicks for Amazon links, I can only imagine how many clicks my Yugioh Philosophy Blog will get since it gets about 5 times more visitors per day than my Lego Blog.
