Quality Attention VS Attention

March 19, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are two different kinds of attention. The first kind of attention is the one you get when people notice you. The second kind of attention is the one you get when people notice you and want to learn more about you. The first kind is just called attention while the second kind is called quality attention. If you are going to be noticed, you want to be noticed in a positive way.

Anyone can get attention. Getting quality attention is more challenging. In order to get quality attention, you need to be performing at a consistent basis and boosting your credibility. As you do these things, you will get more quality attention. People will read your About Me page, buy your products, subscribe to your blog, and follow you on every social network to have.

Quality attention creates quality buzz. Attention just creates buzz. If you want to be a leader in your niche, you need to have quality attention. There need to be people who buy your products and want to learn more about you. Anyone can get attention with some money and an ad space. Quality attention comes from being remarkable.

How To Become Vine Famous

March 19, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I took off from Vine for some time because I did not see the engagement I wanted to see from putting in my hard work. Then, I figured out how to get more engagement on Vine. Now, I am gaining over 600 followers every day on Vine and know exactly how to become the next Vine sensation. In fact, I could end up with 100,000 followers before 2015.

The formula to getting more followers and engagement for your vines is a simple process to follow because there are only two parts. The first part is posting on Vine every day. The most famous people on Vine post at least once every day while some post more than 5 times on other days. That does put imagination and creativity to the test when you have to think of an idea for a Vine every single day. However, the process becomes easier as you start creating vines.

The second part is following other people. Vine’s following rules are not nearly as strong as Twitter’s following rules. I follow much more people than I actually have following me. I also do this on Pinterest. If you want to get the best results from following people on Vine, go to Vine’s search. Then enter in “ifollowback.” On other social networks Team Follow Back has been criticized because you don’t get a target audience. However, doing this on Vine will result in people who are eager to share anything that is cool, shocking, or hilarious. That’s where your vines fit in.

Ever since applying these methods, my Vines went from having 2 likes to having well over 10 likes. In addition, the people who like one of your Vines are also likely to like your other vines as well. If you have 50 people who like one of your vines, chances are your other vines are not far behind. They probably have 20-40 likes as well. That’s why the famous viners have thousands of likes per vine. If a follower likes one of their vines, that follower tends to like more of that person’s vines. The people who are getting over 100,000 likes for their vines also happen to have 1 million followers.

More real followers equates to more likes. I have been using this formula to get over 300 followers on Vine every day. I may even get over 100,000 followers on Vine before 2015 and become the next famous viner. The best part is that being famous on Vine trickles into your other social networks. Famous viners are also gaining over 5,000 followers on Twitter every day while others gain more than that.

Becoming a Vine sensation is not as impossible as it seems. It requires consistent work, but it does not require difficult work.

4 Ways To Get More Likes On Pinterest

March 18, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

On Pinterest, likes on a pin indicates popularity. The more likes a pin has, the more popular it is. Likes also help out in letting you know how much quality attention (compared to attention) your pins are getting on your followers’ timelines. Getting more likes on Pinterest will also encourage more people to follow you and like the pin. The thinking process is that if a lot of people like the pin, the pinner and the pin are both good. This equates to a follow, like, and maybe a repin. These are some of the many advantages of getting more likes on Pinterest, and without any further adieu, here are the 4 ways to get more likes on Pinterest.

  1. Build a targeted following. A targeted following is a group of people who are interested in what you pin about before seeing your pins. People interested in social media, business, and blogging are my targeted followers. When they see my pins, they already like the topic which makes them more likely to like my pins.
  2. Pin the things that you would like. Liking your own pins is a desperate plee to get other people to see a number in the like column. However, if the pin was sent by someone else, would you click on the like button? Send out the pins that you like, and in return, some of your targeted followers will like the pin as well.
  3. Host a giveaway that requires likes. I got 3 likes and 3 repins in a matter of minutes after I hosted a giveaway for my Power Blogging Training Course. If I extended the date of the giveaway, I could have probably gotten more likes and repins. When you are hosting a giveaway, the prize plays a big role towards how many likes the pin gets.
  4. Promote your pins on your blog. Your blog is a great place to promote your pins. After reading your blog posts and seeing one of your pins, some of your visitors will like your pins.

Those are 4 ways to get more likes on your pins. What did you think of the list, and what other tips would you like to share? Please share your thoughts and insights below.

How To Get More People To Review Your Udemy Training Course

March 18, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Udemy is a great place to create online training courses and sell them for free. For each sale you make, you get 50% of the commission. One of the factors that determines how many sales you get is how many reviews your training course has. A training course with 1 review gets less sales than a training course with 30 reviews. If you want your training course to get more sales, the people who land on the sales page need to be enticed to buy your training course. Having a lot of reviews is a great way to get more sales.

This strategy to getting more reviews for your Udemy course almost never fails. All you need to do is find other training courses that are similar to yours. Then, contact all of the people who left 4-5 star reviews for that training course. When contacting someone through this method, tell them

  1. How you found them (the name of the training course)
  2. If they are interested in getting your training course for free in exchange for an honest review.

That’s all you have to do to get more reviews on Udemy. If your Udemy course already has students, give the first 25 people who review your course a free coupon to another one of your courses. Unlike selling a physical product, giving a training course away for free will not cost you money. As you get more reviews, more people will buy your training course.

One of the great things about Udemy is that the average review is 4.1 stars. That means you just need to get a quantity of views, and by the definition of average, you should mostly end up with 4-5 star reviews. A big quantity of positive reviews will give customers a strong reason to buy your training course.

By getting more people to review your training courses, more people will end up buying your training course. Giving 50 people your training course for free in exchange for 50 five star reviews can lead to over 100 sales that you may have never had.

4 Ways To Get More Engagement On Twitter

March 17, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

If you want to get the best out of Twitter, you need to engage with your followers. Many people on Twitter miss this step because the believe of big numbers prevails too often. Increasing engagement on Twitter will allow you to have more conversations with your followers. Having more conversations often results in making more connections. The connections you make can result in a sale, a retweet, or free PR. Now that you know why getting more engagement on Twitter is important, these are the 4 ways to get more engagement on Twitter.

  1. Ask questions. Asking questions is an opinion based strategy that encourages more response. When you ask the question, ask questions that you actually have. Do not ask questions just because I told you to ask them. I am actively reading books, and I wanted to add books to my reading list. That’s why I decided to ask my followers what their favorite books are. Because of the tweet I sent, I ended up adding over 10 books to my reading list that day. In addition, I got to interact with my followers and tell them about books I have read before.
  2. Tweet with pictures. It is a proven fact that tweets with pictures get more engagement than tweets without pictures. With Twitter’s preview feature, pictures get more attention. For good pictures with a meaningful tweet, the added attention results in more engagement than normal. The pictures I tweet usually see four times as many retweets and favorites as my other tweets.
  3. Host a giveaway. On Twitter, baseball fans had to decide who the Face of MLB is. On one of the days, David Wright came up, and fans tweeted with #DavidWright for a while. While the tweeting was taking place, Jay Horwitz decided to have giveaways where fans could meet David Wright, get a signed baseball, and do batting practice with the Mets. Jay Horwitz ended up getting more than a thousand retweets that day which was a lot more than normal for him.
  4. Share tweets people would want to remark on. A tweet that looks like spam is not going to get a lot of engagement. A tweet that reveals something incredible such as where the universe ends, how aliens have been colonizing on Mars for 10,000 years……or just a useful tip, that tweet will get more engagement. Although we do not necessarily know where (or if) the universe ends and aliens have not been colonizing on Mars for 10,000 years, it is important to tweet incredible (but true) tweets. By sending out incredible tweets, more people will be likely to remark (engage) on your tweet.

Those are four ways to get more engagement on Twitter. What did you think about these tips? In addition, do you have any other tips that you use to increase engagement on Twitter? Please share your thoughts and insights below.

Reading Mean Tweets

March 17, 2014 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

Jimmy Kimmel has a remarkable segment called Mean Tweets in which celebrities read hate tweets that they have received. The segment reveals the celebrities’ reactions towards the hate tweets. Mean Tweets serves as a reminder that celebrities have feelings and what you post on social networks can hurt you.

I happened to watch the segment long after it went live, but I was impressed by the message and elements of humor throughout the segment. Little did I know that a few months later I would be getting a similar tweet. I did nothing to deserve it, but it was there.

For the sake of anonymity, I will not reveal the person who sent the tweet. However, it was an offensive one. Instead of letting that tweet ruin my day, I decided to send out this tweet and write this blog post.

I was not pleased when I saw the mean tweet, but I did not let it ruin my day. Criticisms will be hurled at us, but those criticisms must not crush our motivation.
