Consejos For Writing Stronger Headlines

November 20, 2013 by Marc Guberti 3 Comments

I’m sure the word consejos was the first one you saw. Consejos is a Spanish word which means tips. Strong headlines control whether or not visitors decide to read your content. I could have called this blog post, “Tips For Writing Stronger Headlines,” but that headline wouldn’t have been a strong one.

The first tip for writing stronger headlines is to write a headline that causes intrigue. You can’t wait for someone to read your entire blog post before they feel intrigued. Visitors need to be intrigued to read a blog post before they actually start to read it. I’m not telling you to mix every language you can think of into one title.

If you decide to use words from a language that you don’t normally use on your blog, tell your visitors what those words mean right away. When your visitors find out what those words mean, they should be inclined to read on.

The second tip for writing stronger headlines is to write a headline that tells the visitor to take action or use the word action. People are always looking for ways to take action, and if your blog post’s headline tells people to take action, they will read your blog post to learn how to take action.

The third tip for writing stronger headlines is to write headlines that answer your visitor’s questions. The only way you will be able to answer your visitor’s questions is by identifying why people visit your blog. Do people visit your blog for social media advice, sports tips, or something else? Find out why people visit your blog, and identify some of the questions they have that you might be able to answer.

The fourth tip for writing stronger headlines is to add the word mistakes to the headline. A good example would be, “Mistakes Made By Beginners.” Beginners will look at your blog post for your insight so they don’t make those mistakes.

The fifth tip for writing stronger headlines is to write headlines that make perfect sense and perfectly lead to the content. An example of this is my blog post 11 Ways To Get More Followers On Pinterest. This headline allows the visitor to know what the blog post is going to be about.

How did you like the tips? Did I leave out any? Share with us your insight.

5 Ways To Spice Up Your Business Plan

November 19, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Business plans are becoming more common. Entrepreneurs write a list of goals that they want to accomplish for their business. This plan will allow the entrepreneur’s business to move to the next level. However, not all entrepreneurs are creating a business plan that is made to work. Here are 5 ways to spice up that business plan:

  1. Your business plan shouldn’t push you out of your comfort zone. It should shove you out of your comfort zone. By working out of your comfort zone, you will force yourself to be more productive. As a result, you will accomplish more of your goals.
  2. Your business plan needs to give you a sense of urgency. The most effective way to do this is by writing deadlines. You should give yourself early deadlines so you don’t start working on the goal weeks from now.
  3. Your business plan needs to have a big impact on your business. If your business plan just consists of making a few tweaks to your business, that business plan is not as effective as it could be.
  4. Choose goals that support each other. Getting better SEO for your blog will also lead to more blog traffic. Those two goals support each other. This is not essential towards your business plan, but it does help.
  5. What are the phases of each of your goals? The phases are like the stairs of a staircase. You need the stairs in order to get from the first floor of the house to the second floor.

The Vital Part Of SEO That Most Bloggers Don’t Know About

November 19, 2013 by Marc Guberti 8 Comments

There are a lot of ways to increase your SEO. Some of my 100 blogging tips mention ways to improve your blog’s SEO. However, there is a vital part of SEO that most bloggers ignore: the bounce rate percentage. The lower your blog’s bounce rate percentage is, the higher it will rank in search engines.

A high bounce rate percentage occurs when visitors go to your blog, and then go somewhere else without clicking links that keep them on your blog. If your visitors read your new blog post and go somewhere else, that makes your bounce rate percentage go up.

In order to reduce bounce rate, you need people to click links that lead them to different parts of your blog. This can be done by adding links to your old blog posts in your new blog posts. Giving your older content more attention through your new blog posts will lead to a reduced bounce rate percentage.

Another way to decrease your blog’s bounce rate percentage is by adding a “Popular Posts” widget to your blog. This will allow your visitors to see which of your blog posts are getting the most views. Your visitors will click on your popular blog posts because they want to know why those blog posts are popular.

If you have a really long blog post, break it into multiple parts. There are two benefactors that come as a result of breaking a long blog post into multiple parts. The first benefactor is that there won’t be a big wall of text that your visitors won’t want to read. The second benefactor is that if a visitor likes Part 3 but hasn’t read Part 1 or 2, that will reduce the bounce rate percentage.

If you want to see where your bounce rate percentage stands, go to Alexa and enter in your blog’s URL. You won’t have to scroll too far down to reach the “How engaged are visitors to yourblog.com?” where you will see your blog’s bounce rate percentage.

How To View Your WordPress Blog’s Stats For Any Day

November 18, 2013 by Marc Guberti 3 Comments

Just three days ago, your blog may have had a breakthrough day. It may have gotten 100 visitors just missing your best day which is 110 visitors. The options on the stats page limits you to any statistics that happened on your blog today, yesterday, or on its best day. There are also the weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and all time options. However, looking at the statistics for your blog that happened three or more days ago is not an option.

However, there is a way to look at your statistics for your WordPress for any day. You can look back at your blog’s traffic from 100 days ago, or any other time you desire. The answer lies in the URL.

Click on the number that appears under “Best Ever.” At the end of the URL, you will see something like this, “day=2013-11-04” (day=year-month-date). If you want to see your statistics for March 24, 2013, just change the last part of the URL to, “day=2013-03-24” and you will see your statistics from March 24, 2013.

This is a small features that will allow you to identify why your blog did well on some days and bad on other days. If you want to see your statistics for a particular day, you don’t have to worry. The answer is in the URL. If you want to see how many people visited your WordPress blog on the first day, you can change the date to the day you created your blog.

If you are a statistics freak like I am, you will love this feature.

Give Yourself A Big Goal Quarterly

November 18, 2013 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

You should be creating products and implementing ideas as many times as you can. However, there should be one product or service that dwarfs all of your other goals in importance. The other goals are important too, but there should be one quarterly goal that stands above the rest.

The big quarterly goal should be something that can make you a big profit. This quarterly goal can be writing a book, putting a training course together, or offering a new service. The big quarterly goal is the goal that you should spend most of your time on.

The big quarterly goal is one that should lead to dynamic results since you are spending the most time on it. Accomplishing the big quarterly goal will make it easier to accomplish all of your other goals as well. Writing a book or launching a podcast will lead into other goals such as getting more traffic on your blog and more followers on social networks.

You can have numerous side goals as long as you get the big goal done every quarter.

Do You Believe In Your Idea?

November 17, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The idea you come up with can be the next big thing. However, if you don’t believe in your idea, your idea isn’t going to go far. You need to believe in what you do in order to become successful in that niche.

If you believe in your idea, all you need to do is implement it. Implementing is the hard part, but if you believe your idea, you already have a head start. You already have the motivation to accomplish your idea and propel it to the next level. The ability to propel your idea to the next level is what will allow you to turn your idea into something big.

There is a recipe for a successful idea. The first thing you have to do is think of a good idea. The second thing you have to do is implement the idea. The third thing you have to do is believe in your idea.

If you don’t believe in your idea, everything is going to fall apart. Choose a new idea that you believe in. If you believe in your idea and implement it, there will be some bumps in the road, but the journey for the most part is going to be a smooth one.
