5 Methods To Easily Get More Followers On Instagram

There are hundreds of millions of users on Instagram who, combined, like a grand total of over 1 billion pictures every day. Although there are many pictures getting more likes as the days go by, there are many people who have not built large audiences on Instagram. In order to get more likes for your Instagram pictures, it is essential for you to grow your audience, and here are five ways to make that happen:

  1. Post a new picture on Instagram more than once a day. People need to see you on Instagram often so they have a reason to continue following you and liking your pictures.
  2. Post pictures that people would want to like. Only post the types of pictures on Instagram that you would be happy and proud to post under your name. If the picture is blurry then forget about it.
  3. Share your Instagram pictures on your other social networks. Why not utilize the audiences you have already built? Promoting your pictures to your other audiences will allow you to build your presence on Instagram.
  4. Allow people to follow your Instagram account on your blog. Promoting your Instagram account on your blog will allow more people to see it. The ideal button would be a button that allows people to follow you on Instagram without leaving your blog.
  5. Use hashtags. Hashtags allow you to spread on Instagram because people who search for those hashtags on Instagram’s search engine will find your pictures.

Those are the five ways to get more Instagram followers. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have a 6th method to getting more Instagram followers? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

Is Social Media Overrated?

August 18, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

On the social media blog of all places, responding with a big yes would be problematic. I’ll take the safe route this time and say that it depends on the individual, but I will also say that for most people, social media is overrated. Social media is a place to build connections and grow an audience. Many people use social media to procrastinate and escape their work. In this scenario, social media is completely overrated. As Abraham Lincoln put it, “You can’t escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.”

If you are spending more than an hour on your social networks every day, then it is overrated. That is too much time to delegate away from your work. In order to make revenue from social media, you need to have products that people would want to buy in the first place.

The worst part is that most people get addicted to the social networks. Some people are on Facebook for 6 hours every day. That’s absolutely ridiculous, especially when most of that time is you feeling bad about yourself because your friends posted pictures of themselves having a good time. Many people could write five extra blog posts every day if they cut down on the amount of time they spend on social media.

There is a way to use social networks that makes them pivotal to your success. By getting more done in a shorter amount of time and growing your audience, you will be able to tap into social media’s full potential. Some leaders got to where they are because of social media. In this case, if these people do not spend over an hour a day on their social networks, they are not overrated.

Social media has the power to grow your presence and allow you to become very successful. It can also eat away at hours of your precious time every day. With great power needs to come great responsibility. What’s your choice?

Three Reasons Why You Need To Use Instagram

August 4, 2014 by Marc Guberti 14 Comments

For a very long time, I underestimated the power of Instagram. I saw Instagram as a personal social network where people would just post pictures to friends. Everything changed when I responded to some people on Twitter, and after receiving a response, said how happy they were that I was not a bot.

I guess a 16 year old entrepreneur with over 100,000 Twitter followers is a rare sight that seems too good to be true, but it amazed me to think that if I did not respond to these people, they would have thought I was a bot. It’s amazing what you don’t know and what you learn by interacting.

Therefore, I have taken a stronger interest in Instagram. I still see it as a personal social network, but now I see Instagram in a new light. Not only that, but I would go as far as saying that everyone should have an Instagram account. That’s a big jump from someone who never thought of using Instagram. Now you are probably curious why I changed my mind so dramatically about the social network. Here’s why:

  1. Instagram allows people to know you at a more personal level. In other words, what do you do when you are not wearing the tie, buttoned down shirt, and writing blog posts. Most people only know me for writing blog posts and books. I want people to get more into who I am as a person. I run outside, play video games, and do other fun activities. Now I am using Instagram to share some of that.
  2. Instagram allows you to look back at where you were and what you did. On Instagram, you have the power to look back at great memories. You can go back to accomplishments, special days, and places you went to every day just by scrolling through your Instagram pictures.
  3. Instagram pictures get a lot of engagement. I have seen some people with 500 Instagram followers who get over 50 likes for their photos. It is easy for a photo to spread far and wide on Instagram. All you need to do is take good pictures and have a story behind each picture.

Instagram allows you to capture a part of you that most people don’t get to see: your personal life. You don’t have to take a picture of yourself 24/7 or show people the bad parts of your life. Just take enough pictures so you can look back at them, show people who you are when you are not working, and get more engagement all at the same time.

Do you use Instagram? I am a newbie just taking picture after picture. What are your thoughts about that social network?
