10 Advantages Of Having A Big Audience On Social Media

June 28, 2014 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

social media marketing

Everyone is focused on getting more followers on social media. There are millions of searches conducted every day about getting more followers on a social network. While blog posts like this one go into detail about getting more followers on social media, few people know all of the advantages associated with having a big following. While many people think that fame is the big advantage, there are 10 other big advantages of having a big following.

  1. You gain more credibility as your audience grows. The social media expert with 10,000 followers has more credibility than the social media expert who has 50 followers. In numerous cases, people will want to see your numbers (i.e. number of followers) before buying one of your products. Most bestselling authors also happen to have over 50,000 followers while others exceed 300,000.
  2. You will see a dramatic increase in blog traffic. More than half of this blog’s traffic is because of Twitter while about 10% of this blog’s traffic is from other social networks. As you get more traffic from your social networks, the traffic you get from search engines will also increase. Building a strong audience on social media is one of the easiest ways to get more social media and search engine traffic.
  3. You get more opportunities. When people organize speaking events, they want to choose the best speakers with the most credibility. Since having a bigger audience gives you more credibility, the people who organize these types of events will choose you to speak at their events. However, these organizers (and a lot of other people) do their research. It is easy to catch someone who bought fake followers by using TwitterAudit.
  4. Your products suddenly look better, and you will get more sales. The person with 300,000 real followers knows a lot about social media and their niche. Chances are if you are just like any typical social media user, you want 300,000 real followers too. As a result, many people will buy products that the person with 300,000 real followers sells. The reason your products suddenly look better and you will get more sales is because your credibility has dramatically increased.
  5. Your unpaid army of promoters becomes larger. An unpaid army of promoters is a group of people who promote you for free. These people tell their friends and colleagues about you. This word of mouth spreads your content in a positive way that boosts sales and ultimately allows your audience to grow.
  6. You have more connections. While most of these connections will be people who have conversations with you and visit your blog, some of these people will know other people who are looking for people like you. With a big audience, some of the people who are looking for people like you will be reporters, newspaper writers, the people who organize speaking events, and more.
  7. You become a celebrity of your niche. By becoming a celebrity in your niche, you do become famous to the people in your niche. By being a celebrity in your niche, you will get more fans. Fans are the people who will do everything in their power to buy your products right when they get launched and eventually buy all of the products that you sell. Basically, being a celebrity in your niche allows you to get more returning customers.
  8. Your content spreads faster. When you have a larger audience, your posts on your social networks will get shared more often. Imagine how different you would look on social media if all of your posts got shared at least 10 times. Then imagine what would happen if thousands of people shared your posts every day.
  9. You will learn more about your niche. As you grow your targeted audience, you will also learn more about your niche. Some of the tweets in your feed will contain valuable articles about your niche. In addition, you will get more experience in your niche as more people ask you questions.
  10. Your confidence will soar. Being part of a small group will make your confidence soar. Being in this small group is a way for you to say that you are good enough to be in this group. Since you are in this small group, you will also feel more confident in your expertise and in yourself. It is an amazing feeling that fully blooms as your audience grows.

Growing your following is something that many people want to do. The biggest reason people do this is for the fame, but there are other benefits that come along with growing your audience. If you want to have these 10 things have an impact on you and your social media strategy, then you need to grow your social media audience. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

How To Get Everyone On Your Team To Support Your Idea

June 27, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The Answer Is Yes

One of the common human needs is to get accepted. Before you started your own business or got employed, chances were it was all about getting accepted on sports teams, certain extracurricular activities that have cuts, high schools, and colleges, just to name a few. However, when it comes to ideas, not everyone supports those ideas. In most cases, the ideas that get rejected are not necessarily bad. On the contrary, some of these ideas are extraordinary, but they get presented poorly and do not get the desired result.

There is a way to get everyone on your team to support your idea. No matter what you do, not everyone will support your idea. However, if you can get your entire team or a majority of your team to support your idea, then that’s enough to get your idea in motion. Seth Godin, the bestselling author of numerous books written in over 30 languages described a method in his book Free Prize Inside that you can use to persuade everyone on your team that your idea is worth doing. This method is called the Fulcrum of Innovation.

The Fulcrum of Innovation has three parts:

  1. Worth doing. This is the part of the Fulcrum where you explain the benefits of implementing your idea.
  2. By you. This is the part of the Fulcrum where you show people that you are the right champion to lead the implementation process of your idea.
  3. Doable. This is the part of the Fulcrum where you prove that your idea is possible with the team that you have.

By mastering the Fulcrum, you will be able to persuade everyone on your team to implement your idea. Of course, the idea has to be good, but thinking of a good idea is not as hard as it sounds. Implementing the ideas you think of takes a lot more time, but if you master the Fulcrum and get everyone to agree with your idea, then the implementation process will run smoother.

What are your thoughts about using the Fulcrum to convince the people on your team that your idea must be implemented? Have you ever used the Fulcrum to convince people that your idea works? Have you read any Seth Godin books (if not, you should definitely buy one, but be warned, you’ll end up buying more in the future)? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

10 Ways To Get More Blog Traffic

June 27, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

increase blog traffic

Your blog is your home on the web that allows people to know about your products and content. There are millions of blogs on the web, and a new blog gets created every half second. However, most of these blogs do not get enough visitors to generate revenue and connections. The key to being successful as a blogger is to be able to get a lot of traffic. After you consistently get hundreds of visitors every day, your methods of making money with your blog will generate more revenue. Then, as you test other options, you will be able to identify the methods that lead to the biggest income. However, in order to get to that point, people need to know about you, and you need to increase your blog’s traffic. Here are 10 ways to do that.

  1. Utilize your social networks. The best way to get more traffic than your blog is to use your social networks. As you grow your audience on your social networks, you will get more engagement and clicks. Suddenly, you will go from getting 10 extra visitors every day from your social networks to getting hundreds of extra visitors every day from the same social networks–but with larger audiences.
  2. Make it harder for people to leave your blog. By making it harder for people to leave your blog, your blog will have a lower bounce rate. In order to make it harder for people to leave your blog, include links to older but related blog posts in your new ones. If you make it harder for someone to leave your blog, and that person likes the content on your blog, then that person is more than likely going to be a returning visitor and a subscriber later on.
  3. Become a guest blogger. Guest blogging no longer has a strong impact on SEO, but it is still a great way to get more people to know about you. As a guest blogger, you have the ability to put your content in front of a larger audience. Some people in that audience who like your guest post will decide to visit your blog.
  4. Interview other people on your blog. When you interview someone on your blog, that person will be very likely to send out a tweet about your blog. As a result, you get more of that person’s audience to visit your blog. When you interview other people, be sure to choose the top people in your niche who have the largest audiences.
  5. Get interviewed by other people. Have a page on your blog with contact information that allows your visitors to schedule an interview with you. This interview will get posted on someone else’s blog which allows you to reach a larger audience. These interviews will also give you a way to get more backlinks for your blog.
  6. Become a public speaker. One of the easiest ways to get everyone to pay attention to you is by being an effective public speaker. Speaking at events will allow you to build stronger connections, and get more visitors. Almost everyone in attendance will visit your blog at least once, but if you do a good job, some of the people who attended will want to subscribe to your blog and buy your products.
  7. Engage with your targeted followers. An easy way to get more visitors is to engage with targeted people who would enjoy your blog. As a conversation develops, these people will become curious and take a look at your bio. Then, these people will notice the link to your blog and click on it. You just got another visitor!
  8. Use Squidoo. Squidoo is a fun platform to use to get more traffic for your blog. The community there is very kind, and I learn a lot from them (before the Squidoo community, I didn’t even know what SEO stood for). Squidoo will allow you to get more backlinks for your blog, and you can even include a widget on a lens (that’s what they call their webpages) that promotes your blog.
  9. Keep your content focused. One common mistake that prevents blogs from becoming popular is that the blogger writes about a variety of things. Instead of writing about everything you like from A to Z, only write about something that you know the most about and can share valuable information about that topic.
  10. Write content that people would want to share. If you are able to get your content to spread all across the social networks on the web, your content will be able to reach more audiences–big or small. In addition, the people who shared your content will be very likely to share more of your content in the future.

By getting more visitors, you have the potential to grow your email list and get more sales. The most successful blogs that bring in a lot of revenue also happen to be the most popular ones. Although there are several things you would need to do to optimize your blog, mastering traffic will allow you to get better results every month. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

10 Real Ways To Get More Twitter Followers

June 26, 2014 by Marc Guberti 10 Comments

twitter followers

There are countless Google searches for phrases like, “How To Get More Twitter Followers,” “How To Get More Twitter Followers Fast,” and similar phrases as well. Searching through millions of articles can prove to be very tedious, and the more time you spend searching, the less time you spend implementing. I am going to end your searching journey by providing 10 real ways to get more Twitter followers. Instead of continuing to search for ways to get more Twitter followers, just implement these tactics.

  1. Follow targeted people who are likely to follow back. If you want to be the rock star with 100,000 followers while only following a few of your friends, then I have some bad news. Unless you buy fake followers (that don’t engage with you at all) or become a celebrity, that fantasy will not happen. You need to follow targeted people who are likely to follow you back so more people can know about you.
  2. Spread on Twitter. In order to spread on Twitter, you need to have a larger audience that will retweet more of your tweets. However, a large audience is not a do or die stage towards getting a lot of retweets. You can get more retweets by tweeting content that people would want to retweet such as informative articles, news stories, or motivational quotes. Here are some ways to boost your chances of getting more retweets.
  3. Strategically favorite and retweet other people’s tweets. Sharing other people’s content is powerful to build stronger connections with those people and get more followers at the same time. Since Twitter users send out 1 billion tweets every five days, there will be many tweets that are retweet worthy. However, it is important to avoid retweeting something just for the sake of retweeting it. Instead, retweet the tweets from people who you want to build strong connections with. There may be an expert in your niche with 100,000 followers who is following 60,000 people. Retweeting that person’s tweets and interacting with that person may result in that person following you back, sharing their advice, and promoting your content later on.
  4. Have a clear avatar of either you or your company’s logo. Having the right avatar builds authority on a crowded social network. People will trust you more if you have a picture of yourself or your company’s logo. If you have the default egg picture for your avatar, then that picture needs to get changed now.
  5. Have a good background picture. This background picture needs to further emphasize what you do. If you are a social media expert, then your background picture needs to further emphasize that you are a social media expert. You can also pay for someone to design a professional background that has a call to action, one of your products being displayed, and/or your contact information (other social networks, email address, etc).
  6. Have a powerful bio. Your bio is a very important factor that decides whether someone follows you or not. You have less than 10 seconds to impress someone with your 160 character bio. Your bio needs to explain what you do professionally, when you are not working, and some of your hobbies. These are some tactics to help your bio shine.
  7. Be an active tweeter. Being an active tweeter will allow yourself to appear on more people’s timelines at a greater frequency. If you tweet quality content, then your followers will enjoy receiving your tweets. You may wonder if being inactive may be a good thing. Being inactive means appearing on less people’s timelines which makes you less likely to get unfollowed on Twitter. However, there are a variety of popular tools such as ManageFlitter (which, by the way, has over 2 million users) that identify all of the inactive tweeters that people are following. When inactive tweeters get identified, the people following those tweeters realize that those tweeters are not offering any valuable content. As a result, those inactive tweeters get unfollowed. You should be tweeting at least once every day, but I highly recommend tweeting as much as you can. I tweet once every 20 minutes because I am able to schedule my tweets in advance. Scheduling tweets in advance is also a great way to get more engagement from your audience.
  8. Offer a giveaway. You don’t need to give away a Mac Book Air to get more engagement and followers from this giveaway. All you need to do is give away a $25 Amazon Gift Card. As strange as it may sound, a $25 Amazon Gift Card is a better giveaway than $50 in cash. People make cash from their jobs so $50 won’t mean much. However, they don’t get as many Amazon Gift Cards. Hosting a giveaway once every quarter will give people who followed you for the giveaway a reason to continue following you. While these people continue to follow you, chances are some of them will turn into customers.
  9. Have a blog. You can use this blog to promote your Twitter account, but more importantly, having a blog gives you a home on the web. You can write blog posts on your blog and then use Twitter to promote that blog. Then, when people visit your blog, you can include pictures of your products on your blog’s sidebar so you turn your visitors into potential customers.
  10. Tweet about the same topic 80% of the time. In order to get more followers, you need to focus most of your time on one topic. It is better to become the best person at one thing than it is to be decent at 10 things. In addition, your followers will not like it if you only tweet about sports on one day and then only tweet about fashion the following day. A confused follower clicks the unfollow button.

Your searching queries are now over. Instead of spending more time searching for ways to get more followers on Twitter, all you need to do is implement these tactics. No matter how much time you spend searching, there will be a point where you will have to implement what you learned. These are the tips to implement, and if you remain patient while implementing these tips, your following will eventually dramatically increase as the days go by.

Why The First Time Is Really The Hardest

June 26, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Big Challenge

A lot of people say that the first time is the hardest. It is used in speeches, books, and other places as well. While many people say that the first time is the hardest, few people go into why the first time is really the hardest. In this article, I am going to go into the why part about the first time being the hardest.

In 3 years, 2 months, and 1 day after Twitter was created the social media world went crazy. Twitter’s 1 billionth tweet was sent out. Out of all of the times Twitter sent out 1 billion tweets, the first billion tweets took the most time. Now, Twitter users send out a combined total of 1 billion tweets every 5 days. That’s a lot quicker than 3 years, 2 months, and 1 day.

Neil Patel wrote a brilliant blog post about getting 100,000 monthly visitors for a blog. In that blog post, he also mentioned how long it took for each of his blogs to get over 100,000 monthly visitors. QuickSprout took 4 years and 9 months, KISSmetrics took 1 year and 10 months, and Crazy Egg took 1 year and 6 months to reach 100,000 monthly visitors. The first blog took the longest amount of time to reach 100,000 monthly visitors because the first time is always the hardest. It becomes obvious that as Neil Patel creates more blogs, he is able to reach the same milestone faster.

The first time is the hardest because we do not know everything about the process. It is hard to get the first 1,000 followers because it takes a long time to learn about different methods to reach the goal. What used to take me a few months to do now gets done in 2-3 days. By staying dedicated and going through the journey, you will learn more about your niche. You will learn how to do certain tasks with fewer steps that allow you to save more time. Doing anything for the first time is the hardest. It takes a lot of practice and time to do something the first time. Then, it gradually becomes easier over time as you get more comfortable doing something that at one point seemed very difficult.

What are your thoughts about the first time really being the hardest? Do you have any stories of your own about the first time being the hardest? Please share your thoughts below.

Inspyr Socks Motivates Others In A Different Way

June 25, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Inspyr Socks

People are constantly searching for ways to get motivated to get tasks done and live a better life. There are methods out there such as reading motivational quotes, doing the work, and being happy for the results. However, wearing the right clothing can also allow you to live a more motivated life. Life Is Good did the job with their shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise with the simple message, life is good.

Now there is a new start-up that is gaining momentum that makes and sells motivational socks. Inspyr Socks is a Pennsylvania based start-up that intends to motivate others with inspirational sayings on each of their socks and show individuals that success and living a wonderful life are both in their reach.

Imagine looking down at your socks and seeing motivational messages such as, “Think it, Be it” “Believe, Achieve,” Will Power,” “Work Hard,” and “Step Up.” Wearing clothing with a powerful message is by far one of the most underrated ways to get and stay motivated.

One of the additional perks to wearing Inspyr Socks is that you get to share motivational messages with others. Not only do you get to feel empowered, but people who see your Inspyr Socks will also receive the motivational message. You get to help others get motivated.

I support Inspyr Sock’s message and think it is a powerful message that is going to be heard by the masses. Inspyr Socks is “inspyring” the world one pair of socks at a time.
