Why Some Goals Appear To Be Impossible

March 9, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

Remember when it was impossible to create food at your house? 3D Printing solved that problem. Remember when it was impossible to be in the sky? Airplanes solved that problem. Remember when it was impossible to connect and have conversations with famous people? Then came social media.

There are many things that seem impossible. There are also many things that seemed impossible but were made possible (and ended up happening). So why do we keep on persisting that certain things are impossible? Why do we keep on persisting that no matter how much we try, the goal is simply unattainable?

The reason things appear to be impossible is because of a bad mindset. Thinking that something is impossible is easier than doing the work to make it possible. Writing 4 books every year is doable, but most people think it is impossible. Thinking it is impossible results in no need to put in the work and effort.

Things appear to be impossible because it is the easier road to take. If you believe your idea is possible, you have to put in time and effort to turn your idea into a reality. What do you think is impossible? Are people already doing what you believe is impossible? Some self published authors write more than 4 books every year! What are you going to do?

The Feeling Of Accomplishment

March 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are many goals we give ourselves. Some get done while others get pushed to the side. Sadly, more goals are being pushed to the side than there are goals getting done. Whether it be because of time management or no more desire to continue, many people give up on their goals.

However, the feeling of accomplishing a goal gives us the motivation we need to accomplish our other goals. We all feel great when we accomplish something. I feel great when I write a certain number of blog posts every week, schedule a certain amount of tweets, and finish a certain amount of videos.

The feeling of accomplishment invigorates us to raise our standards. Putting the giant check mark in front of a goal boosts this invigoration. In order to get the best feeling of accomplishment, you need to acknowledge the accomplishment. Writing down the goal and putting a giant check mark in front of the one you accomplished is the best way of doing that.

In order to continue to do the work we do, we need to have an incentive. The best incentive is the feeling of accomplishment. Some people will quickly argue that a monetary incentive is the stronger of the two, but the feeling of accomplishment raises our standards and as a results makes us pursue more challenging goals. Maybe your first goal was to write your first blog post. Now your goal may be to make a solid income by blogging.

The feeling of accomplishment allows us to raise our standards. By raising those standards, we will be able to accomplish the goals that once seemed impossible.

5 Things You Need To Get A Hashtag To Trend On Twitter

March 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti 13 Comments

There are many reasons why certain hashtags trend. Some trend because of a big following while others trend because of the news. Getting your hashtag to trend is by no means an easy feat, but it is possible. In order to get your hashtag on Twitter to trend, these are the 5 things you need.

  1. Have a large, targeted following. Many of the people who get their own hashtag trending tend to have well over 50,000 followers. Find the most successful Twitter user in your niche and follow that person’s followers who are likely to follow back. Your following will eventually grow large enough to get a hashtag to trend on Twitter.
  2. Make the hashtag something good enough to trend. If you are approaching a certain follower milestone, tweet that out. Uber Facts used the hashtag #UberFactsTo6Million to get more people knowing about their approaching milestone.
  3. Give your followers a reason to tweet with the hashtag. Uber Facts decided to do a $100 giveaway. Esurance decided to do a $1.5 million giveaway. Famous Vine users decide to follow (some) of the people who tweet with the hashtag. Regardless of whether you are the next Vine sensation or tweet facts every hour, you need to give your followers a reason to tweet with the hashtag.
  4. Ask for tweets and retweets. Anyone who tweeted #UberFactsTo6Million or retweeted Uber Facts tweet with the hashtag got entered into the giveaway. As the hashtag started getting attention, people went to Uber Facts’ original tweet, saw the giveaway, and decided to retweet the tweet and get in on the action.
  5. Give people a reason to continue tweeting. Uber Facts decided to double the prize from $100 to $200 in honor of the tweet trending. This got more people’s attention and resulted in the hashtag trending for a longer period of time.

Those are the 5 things you need in order to get a hashtag to trend on Twitter. It is entirely possible that you become one of those movie stars or influential singers who has million of active followers, but for those of us who won’t be getting those two things, this is the best way to get a hashtag to trend on Twitter.

The 7 Traits All Internet Millionaires Have In Common And How To Optimize Them

March 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Wouldn’t it be a lot easier if there was a rulebook to becoming a millionaire? Following those rules would guarantee that you make millions of dollars. Although these are not rules, they are traits, and all internet millionaires have them.

  1. Have membership sites. Membership sites result in monthly, consistent revenues, not the ones where you have to guess and hope you have your best month. Membership sites offer a gradually growing income while other methods result in an income roller coaster.
  2. Write your own physical book. Having your own book gives you a lot of credibility, and writing books is also a great way to make more money online. If someone buys 2 of your books, and you have written 5 books, chances are that person will eventually buy all 5 of your books.
  3. Have the right mindset. This is the most important one of them all. Having the right mindset means wanting to accomplish your goals. The right mindset will give you the willpower to accomplish the other 6 things on the list.
  4. Work with others. One person does not make a team. It is possible to become successful alone, but you need to work with others in order to build a powerful, multimillion dollar presence on the web.
  5. Have your own seminar. There are a wide variety of ways to have your own seminar. You can coach others, speak at public events, have teleseminars, webinars, and more! Choose to implement two of these methods at most.
  6. Have a list. You need to know who is subscribing to your blog, following you on your social networks, and likely to buy your products. By creating these lists, you will be able to find the people who will buy the products that turn you into an internet millionaire.
  7. Have virtual assistants to save time. These virtual assistants can save you a lot of time by performing various functions. By paying virtual assistants to do what you could do, you will have more time to create books and membership sites.

Those are the 7 traits, but getting all of those traits is challenging without a plan. Here is the plan I came up with in order to take control of all 7 of those traits.

  1. You need to acquire the right mindset before doing anything else.
  2. Start a blog and use social networks so you can create lists.
  3. Write the book. Make sure this takes 4 months so you have a physical book out there. As always, quality is key.
  4. Create the membership site. You should work with someone for the first membership site. This will allow you to produce a quality membership site while only putting in half of the work.
  5. Continue working with others after you create the membership site.
  6. Give copies of your book away for free to your members. You should still make a profit. This will boost your book sales and has the potential to turn your book into a bestseller. This part of the strategy will boost your income in the long run.
  7. When you are getting enough money, hire virtual assistants. While you can use some assistants every day, other assistants may only be needed once a week or once a month.
  8. Have some of your virtual assistants manage your teleseminar. You can do 25% of the teleseminars and have your virtual assistants do 75% of the teleseminars. All you have to do is tell your virtual assistant key points that they have to cover and get a guest on your teleseminar. This will allow your teleseminars to go on autopilot, and all you will have to do is public speaking every once in a while.

Those are the traits, and that’s how you optimize them. For those of you who are curious (almost everyone), this is the infographic.

Why Interviews Are Game Changers

March 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There is a sense of stage fright that consumes many people. When it comes to talking and knowing that 100 people (or thousands) will listen to what you say, some people in that situation feel a sense of fear. However, it is important to not only conquer this fear but also to be in more interviews. Whether you are the interviewer or the interviewee, interviews are big game changers that result in more traffic and sales.

If you are interviewing a well-known person in your niche, that person will tell their followers about the interview thus giving you more traffic. If you do a good job with the interview, that interview may result in more subscribers to your channel.

If you are the person being interviewed, more people get to know about you. If you get interviewed by someone with 10,000 followers, that person is sure to tell his/her 10,000 followers about the interview. Being interviewed enough times will result in more people knowing about you. If 10 people with 10,000 followers interview you and tell their followers about you, you are reaching 100,000 extra people.

Interviews are game changers in many ways. Whether you are being interviewed to get into a good school, for a job, or to get more traffic, they are important. The benefits of being interviewed or hosting an interview can no longer be ignored. They work wonders.

12 Simple Ways To Get More Retweets On Twitter

March 6, 2014 by Marc Guberti 15 Comments

The power of a retweet is unquestionable. Retweets lead to more exposure, traffic to your blog, and followers. However, many people see getting more retweets as an enigma with no answer. However, getting more retweets does not have to be as challenging as people make it seem to be.

I was on the same boat. It seemed as if my tweets were never going to get any retweets. I went for months without getting any retweets unless I used a points system to get more retweets. Then, I tapped into a method that allowed me to gain 200 followers every day. By getting more followers, I was able to get more retweets, but followers is not enough. This perfectly sets up the first tip of the 12.

  1. Get more targeted followers. 10,000 targeted followers are better than 100,000 followers who do not care about the topics you tweet about. Find someone in your niche who is growing a steady following, and then use Tweepi to follow that person’s followers. When doing this, be sure to follow the people who are likely to follow back.
  2. Apply Tip #1 to the leader of your niche. For a long time, I was following other social media experts’ followers, and I made sure that each expert had over 200,000 followers. The strategy was every effective, and I went from 10-20 followers every day to getting 150-200 followers every day. Then, I decided to follow Sean Gardner’s (@2morrowknight) followers. Sean is ranked by Forbes as the #1 most influential social media power user of 2013. I decided to follow his followers, and then I was suddenly gaining 500+ followers every day. Getting those followers contributed greatly towards my retweets.
  3. Tweet motivational quotes. This tactic almost never fail. When reading a motivational quote, people feel empowered. As a result, they retweet the motivational quote so their other followers get to see it.
  4. Connect with your followers. I have noticed that the people I connect with on Twitter often retweet my tweets. In fact, some of my followers have revined my Vines. Connecting with your Twitter followers will trickle to your other social networks as well.
  5. Thank your followers for retweets. When someone shares one of my blog posts, I tend to thank that person and/or favorite the tweet. Thanking your followers shows them that you care for and appreciate what they do for you.
  6. Tweet pictures. There are numerous studies about how tweets with pictures get more engagement than tweets without pictures.
  7. Better yet, tweet infographics. At the time, my average tweet got around 2-4 retweets. Then I decided to tweet an infographic.
  8. Tweet news stories. Everyone wants to keep up with the news. One time, I tweeted about a news story, and the tweet got retweeted 16 times. At the time, I would have been very happy with 1 retweet.
  9. Tweet more. One of the ways that I increased the number of my retweets was by tweeting every 30 minutes instead of every hour. Tweeting more also results in more favorites, conversations, and in some cases, sales.
  10. Host a giveaway. One giveaway resulted in Esurance gaining 200,000 followers in less than 24 hours. The fact that Esurance had pictures of the $1.5 million also contributed to the surge of followers. Esurance ended up losing (many) followers after the giveaway, but Esurance is better where it is today than where it was before the giveaway (10,000 followers before the giveaway).
  11. Include RT at the end of some of your tweets. The RT works as an effective exclamation point that tells people to retweet your tweet. Using RT results in more retweets, but overusing this tactic will result in an overused exclamation point–neither work the way they used to.
  12. Retweet the tweets of others. The people you tweet may decide to retweet you back. You can’t have your content in front of your followers every single time which is why retweeting others will open them up to a greater variety of content. Some of your followers may end up retweeting your retweets!

Those are 12 simple ways to get more retweets on Twitter. They do not take countless hours to implement. Some take as little as 1 minute while others can take 15-30 minutes at most. With these tactics, you will be able to see more retweets and make stronger connections with your followers.
