5 Tactics To Improve Your SEO In 5 Minutes

July 10, 2014 by Marc Guberti 12 Comments

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

SEO Stats Rising

There are many ways to improve your blog’s SEO. While numerous SEO tactics take several months before you see an effect, there are other SEO tactics that can lead to a noticeable improvement in your blog’s traffic. The best part about these SEO tactics is that they all take a grand total of just five minutes to implement. You don’t have to spend hours, days, weeks, and months implementing SEO tactics and waiting for the results to come in. These are the five quick ways to boost your SEO and see the results come in faster at the same time!

  1. Include links to your older blog posts. Bounce rate is defined as the percentage of people who view 1 page or post on your blog without sticking around and viewing another page or post on your blog. Including links to your older blog posts in your newer ones will reduce your blog’s bounce rate and have an impact on its SEO.
  2. Use long tail keywords. Long tail keywords are just the way they sound. They are long keywords that get searched less on Google but are more specific and easier to end up on page one for. For this blog post, I could have used the hashtag “SEO,” but I did not. The problem with that keyword is that there are over 200 million articles on Google with that keyword. That’s where new articles get swallowed up by the popular articles. However, using a search term like “How to enhance your seo” has only 4.8 million articles. It is much easier to end up on page one for the long tail keywords than it is to end up on page one for short keywords. All you need to do for this one is enter your keywords carefully. If you don’t know what to enter in, go to Google and type in a short keyword. Then, before you click enter, Google will give you suggestions. Use the long tail keyword suggestions as the keywords for your blog post.
  3. Write longer blog posts. Using this tactic too often may result in less people reading your entire blog posts which is why this tactic should be used sparingly. Writing longer blog posts does matter for SEO, and it can help you rank higher on Google’s search engine. This will allow you to see a noticeable short-term increase in traffic, but the long-term increase in traffic will be more dramatic.
  4. Interact with your followers on your social networks. For most people, it will take 1-5 minutes to interact with some of their followers on their social networks. Interacting with these followers will encourage them to visit your blog. Getting more visitors on your blog will boost its SEO, but the social media interaction you get will also boost your blog’s SEO. It’s a win-win!
  5. Look at the keywords that already get people to your blog. As your blog grows, you will be able to identify more of the keywords that people use to find your blog. Write blog posts relating to the keywords that people use to find your blog. To make the process go faster and see a short-term impact, you can add these keywords to some of the blog posts you have already published. In order to see the long-term effect of these keywords, write blog posts related to these keywords.

While it takes a long time to reap the benefits of SEO, you can use these methods to boost your SEO and see an immediate short-term increase in traffic. Continuing to implement these tactics over a long period of time is what will allow you to get those long-term results. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional quick tips to implement to boost your SEO? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

3 Ways To Get More Blog Traffic From Twitter

July 9, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

If you use Twitter to get more blog traffic, it can turn into the juggernaut of your blogging strategy. Twitter accounts for 50% of this blog’s traffic, and when I saw a big increase in my Twitter traffic, I also saw a big increase in my SEO traffic. There is a connection between social media and SEO. In order to see the increase in traffic that you want to see, you need to know how to get more blog traffic from Twitter. Here are three ways to do that.

  1. Schedule tweets of your blog posts to show up consistently and frequently. One of the most common mistakes people make on Twitter is only tweeting about their blog 20% of the time. This is a method we use because we don’t want to only promote ourselves (because that would paint a “bad image”). Your followers don’t care about who wrote the content. They only care about whether the content provides value or not. In addition, it is okay to tweet once every 20 minutes. The average Twitter user only spends 20 minutes on Twitter which means most people will only see one of your tweets. Tweet often, and tweet about your blog.
  2. Pin your most popular tweets of one of your blog posts. This tweet will appear on the top of your profile. Your followers who see the tweet will quickly realize that the tweet was pinned. As they wonder why that tweet got pinned, those followers will realize that the tweet is very popular. People like popular things, so they will visit the blog post in that tweet and read the article. Here’s how you pin a tweet to the top of your Twitter feed.
  3. Interact with your followers. During a free giveaway for one of my books, I realized I was in trouble. The categories for that book were outdated (they were no longer on Amazon’s website), and the up-to-date categories that applied to my book were not available. That means I would not be able to get a lot of extra sales from Amazon’s site. Instead of focusing on getting my book’s ranking down (to make the Top 100 Bestselling Lists for certain categories which would have resulted in hundreds of extra free downloads), I relied on Twitter. I interacted with my followers, pinned the tweet about my free book, and people came by asking me about the book, telling me how they liked it, and some of these people even left reviews for my book. If you want to grow your blog traffic, interact with your Twitter followers so they have the ability to listen. Here are some ways to boost the amount of interaction you have with the audience you built from the ground up.

Your blog is your home on the web. You might as well make it a mansion on the web that everyone admires. What are your thoughts on using Twitter to grow your blog’s traffic? Do you have any additional tips on utilizing Twitter to get more blog traffic? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

How To Double Your YouTube Channel’s Views In 30 Days

July 9, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

youtube channel growth

In order to go viral on YouTube, your videos need to get more views. Imagine what would happen if you were able to double your YouTube views in the next 30 days. You may not go viral right away, but doubling your YouTube views in 30 days would give you a stronger presence on the third most popular website on the web. Imagine how different your channel would look if it got 50 views every day instead of only 25 views every day. Then imagine what it would look like if your YouTube channel got 100 views every day instead of only 50 views every day.

It is important to remember that although quality is important, quantity is also king. It is much easier for 100 YouTube videos to get a combined total of 100 views (each video gets 1 daily view) than it is for 1 YouTube video to get 100 views all by itself. You need to be able to upload at least 1 video on YouTube every week so you can ensure quantity but not a decline in quality. Implementing this method would result in 4 YouTube videos by the end of the month. Let’s say you have 2 YouTube videos that get a combined total of 20 views every day. At this rate, each YouTube video would need 10 daily views. However, if you upload and publish four additional videos, then all six of your videos only need 6-7 daily views in order to get a combined total of 40 views.

Another way to boost up your views is by getting more subscribers. One of the most powerful ways to get more subscribers is by including an annotation in your YouTube video that automatically subscribes someone to your channel when it gets clicked. One month after adding the annotation to my videos, I saw a 120% increase in the number of subscribers I got. As I got more subscribers, I also noticed an increase in my YouTube views. Your views will not go up dramatically as you see a big increase in subscribers, but you will see a gradual increase that shows no signs of decline.

The key to getting more viewers is to get more returning viewers. Subscribers are valuable because they become returning viewers. However, there are some people who do not necessarily subscribe to any channels but still become returning viewers. These types of viewers are the ones who need to see a couple of your videos before they finally decide to subscribe to your channel. In order to make these people more likely to subscribe to your YouTube channel, you need to increase the retention rates for your videos. If people stop watching your videos after a few seconds, you need to learn from that mistake and create better videos. An easy way to increase your retention rate is by having a three second or less introduction to your YouTube videos. It is a very helpful feature that automatically makes your YouTube videos more professional.

30 days may not seem like a lot of time to double your YouTube channel’s views. It is how you utilize these 30 days that will ultimately decide where your YouTube traffic ends up from this month to the next month. I would love to hear about anyone who is taking the challenge as well as the progress they are making.

5 Powerful Ways To Get More Likes On Facebook

July 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Facebook Like

Although Facebook is currently the juggernaut of social media, many people find it difficult to get likes for their posts. Getting likes boosts exposure on Facebook and allows you to build a stronger presence on the web. There are some people who have optimized their Facebook presences and get millions of likes while others struggle to get 10 likes for their posts. Not all of the people and Facebook Pages that are getting millions of likes are the big guys with a lot of advertising. There are some people who now have over 1 million Facebook likes whose names wouldn’t have sounded familiar 10 years ago. In fact, some of those names may not sound familiar now. More individuals than ever are using their newly found leverage to create social media empires. One part to creating your social media empire is getting more likes on Facebook, and here are five powerful ways to do that.

  1. Tell your friends about your Facebook Page. It won’t be enough to create an empire, but every empire needs to start from somewhere. At one point, any Facebook Page you see (even the pages with millions of likes) were also struggling to get more likes on Facebook. Those pages, just like any other, started off with zero likes. Depending on how many friends you have, you may be able to get 10-100 likes for your Facebook Page. Getting these likes will show your future visitors that your Facebook Page is somewhat popular–popular enough to get another like. As you get more likes, people will realize your Facebook Page is very popular. People tend to like popular posts and pages on Facebook.
  2. Get on YouTube. You can use YouTube to promote your Facebook Page. Including a link to your Facebook Page in your YouTube video will get more traffic for that Facebook Page. If people who viewed your YouTube video enjoyed it, then these people will be very likely to click the Like button on your Facebook Page. In addition, if you are able to connect all of your social networks together, you will be able to go viral with circular viralocity.
  3. Post on Facebook every day. Fewer people tend to like an inactive Facebook Page. It is important to remember that you need to give people a reason every day to be happy about their decision (liking your page). It sounds so simple, but in a complex world, the simplest things tend to be forgotten. Posting something of value on your Facebook Page every day will make people feel good about liking your page, but in addition, the people who liked your Facebook Page will also like and share your posts. As those posts spread on Facebook, more people will like your Facebook Page.
  4. Include pictures in your Facebook posts. Facebook posts with pictures get twice as many comments as well as more likes/shares than Facebook posts without pictures. Including pictures makes the entire method of spreading on Facebook mentioned in Tip #3 much easier to pull off.
  5. Promote your Facebook Page on your blog. Promoting your Facebook Page on your blog is an easy way to get your visitors to see your presence on social media. If the visitors like your blog, then they’ll come by and like your Facebook Page. All you need to do is show your loyal visitors where to go, and they will go there.

Getting more likes on Facebook allows you to spread and boosts your chance of going viral. Going on viral on Facebook gives you the potential to go viral on all of your other social networks as well–if they are connected properly. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips on getting more likes on Facebook? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

Why Having Good Fitness Helps Out In The Journey Towards Success

July 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Health And Fitness

I believe that fitness is one of the most underrated parts of success. Does this mean walking in to the job interview with a six-pack is going to guarantee you the job? Absolutely not (why apply for a job anyway)! Looking more muscular in your YouTube videos does not mean those videos are going to get more views.

So how exactly does having good fitness help out in the journey towards success? Being in shape has been proven to make people happier (happiness certainly helps out towards success and life), but good fitness also encourages the development of the winner’s mindset.

People with good fitness want to become more fit. They don’t settle with the strong abs. They also want strong legs, arms, shoulders, and every other body part to be strong as well. Some people do 20 curls and realize that they can do five more. They don’t stop at an assigned number if they believe they can do more than that. This is the entire concept of raising the bar higher. When the 20 pound weights get too light, these people move on to the 30 pound weights. It’s a bigger challenge, but it also leads to better results over time.

Getting in shape may be the trigger that allows you to thrive and change your attitude about life. Whether you decide to keep up the fitness by lifting weights or running, you need to do some kind of workout every day so you become committed and develop the winner’s mindset.

10 Tremendous Tactics To Attract People To Your YouTube Videos

July 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

YouTube on iPad and Mac

Getting to that step from where your YouTube video is uploaded to when it gets thousands of views (or goes viral) is how attractive your video is. If you can get your YouTube videos to attract people, the people who got attracted to your YouTube videos will share those videos with their friends. Then, your YouTube video will continue to spread across all of the social networks. In order to attract people to your YouTube videos, follow these 10 tactics.

  1. Get the traffic first. In order to attract people to your YouTube videos, you first need to get the traffic. Embed your YouTube videos in certain blog posts, tweet about your videos, share them on Facebook, and do anything else to spread your videos. The more you spread your videos, the more people will be able to see those videos.
  2. Boost your credibility. Credibility is one of the most important parts towards anyone’s success. Having a lot of credibility means more people see you as a better expert in your niche, and the people who see you as a better expert will easily get attracted to your YouTube videos.
  3. Have a good introduction. YouTube recently made a big change where they now allow you to have a three second or less introduction of yourself that you can put on your videos. Having a good introduction automatically enhances the rest of the video in the viewer’s perspective. Better take advantage of that new update!
  4. Have some annotations in your video (but don’t go crazy). The best annotation to have in your video is the one that automatically subscribes someone to your channel right when it gets clicked. Having an annotation will make your video look more sophisticated, and therefore, more attractive.
  5. Have a strong message in your YouTube video. You can have the joke of the year or a powerful motivational speech, but you need to have a strong message in your YouTube video. Unless you are a celebrity, it won’t be enough to show people that you eat a hamburger every morning.
  6. Have words occasionally pop up. If you are talking about Twitter, have the word “Twitter” pop up. It keeps readers engaged and makes your videos more attractive.
  7. Have pictures. Pictures also do a good job at grabbing attention, but they only work for so long. The longest amount of time you should have the same picture on your YouTube video is 30 seconds…because for the most part, people want to see you.
  8. Combine several retakes into one video. Not only does this make it a little easier for you to cover all of your main points, but it also keeps your viewers engaged. Imagine what would happen if you were listening to someone, that person suddenly stopped speaking, appeared slightly to the left or right from where they were, and continued talking. Viewers would notice the change and continue to watch the video because they are engaged by your video.
  9. Have professional lighting. People do judge books by their covers exactly like how people judge a YouTube video based on how that YouTube video looks in the first couple of seconds. If you have professional lighting, people will continue to watch your video. Without professional lighting, you run the risk of losing viewers. If there is a giant shadow, people will notice. If there is a small shadow, people will not notice as much, but in order to keep your viewer retention rate high, you need to have professional lighting.
  10. Make sure you only upload quality videos. Quality videos get more attention and have higher retention rates than low quality videos. You get better with experience, and as you get that experience (and even now), you need to think of ways to make your YouTube videos even better than they already are.

Attractive videos tend to grab everyone’s attention, get thousands of views, and possibly go viral in the process. By implementing these 10 tremendous tactics, you will be able to upload the videos that your target audience would enjoy watching. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.
