5 Quick Blogging Tips That Will Take You Less Than A Minute To Read

August 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti 20 Comments

Quick Blogging Tips

When you master blogging, you will be able to spread your message and communicate with others in a way never done before. My blog’s success has allowed me to interact with thousands of people and meet well-known entrepreneurs of our era. Having a successful blog automatically boosts your credibility. I understand that you are a productive person and are experienced with getting swamped with work on some days. That’s why I made this blog post especially short. Here are five quick blogging tips that will take you less than a minute to read.

  1. Focus on getting social media traffic. Social media is a better way to get more blog traffic than SEO. In fact, your SEO will improve as you get more social media traffic.
  2. We are trained to notice mistakes first. That’s why you always need to proofread your blog posts. Uh oh, did I spell proofread wrong? I bet I didn’t have to tell you that. Proofreading your blog posts will avoid something like that from happening by accident.
  3. Schedule blog posts in advance. There are some things in life that we can’t account for until they happen. Scheduling numerous blog posts in advance will guarantee that you remain consistent.
  4. Write one blog post every day. Writing one blog post every day will allow you to become a better writer. As your writing improves (and there is always room for improvement), you will be able to write better books at a faster rate.
  5. Stick with it. Blogging at times can get annoying. There’s writer’s block, low traffic stats, and other things that discourage us from writing another blog post. Here’s a picture I share a lot to help you stick with blogging, but it is still powerful.

How long did it take you to read the tips?

Are You Throwing Away Your Blog Traffic?

June 4, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are many bloggers who dream of getting hundreds of visitors on their blog every day. These people believe that getting these extra visitors will translate to more sales, more shares, and more subscribers. However, there are some people with hundreds of visitors who are not satisfied with their results. Even though these people took the time to grow their presence on the web, they are only getting 5 extra sales.

I noticed this problem for my books. I used to show all of my books on my blog’s sidebar, and when I did this, the links generated over 200 clicks every month. Alas, I only made two sales from those clicks. Having those pictures on my blog also made it slower (and hurt SEO). The people who clicked on the links left my blog, and I lost a visitor who could have possibly subscribed to my blog.

If people leave your blog to click on a link to one of your products or a link to one of your social networks, that traffic is being thrown away. Even if someone follows you on a social network, who knows when that person will see one of your social media posts. I do my best to make sure all of my followers see one of my tweets. However, if someone does not log in for an entire day, then there’s nothing I can do about it. The better option is to have people subscribe to your blog. It is better to have 1,000 subscribers than it is to have 1,000 followers. Subscribers get emailed every time a new blog post gets published, and who doesn’t check their email? Followers may not see all of your posts.

If you are getting someone to subscribe to your blog, you are not throwing away your traffic. If anything else occurs, traffic is being thrown away.

The big question you may have right now is how it is possible to still gain followers even though it is bad to have links that lead to your social media accounts. The solution is to have a button on your blog that will allow someone to follow you without leaving your blog. The button for my Twitter account allows anyone reading my blog to follow me without going on Twitter. All a reader has to do is click the button and that’s it. Not only do you make it easier for people to follow you on Twitter, but you also allow them to stay on your blog. Even if you have to make your social media buttons smaller to get the desired effect, it is more important to keep someone on your blog (and possibly get that person to subscribe) than it is to get another follower. 100 followers are not going to be the difference between your book becoming a bestseller, but 100 people on your email list (in some cases, big fans) who can get notified the moment your book comes out will be very likely to buy that book.

Getting someone to stay on your blog for an extra minute can be the difference between someone who subscribes to your blog and someone who walks away. Over the long-term, it can be the difference between getting a lot of sales and getting no sales at all.

Quality Attention VS Attention

March 19, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are two different kinds of attention. The first kind of attention is the one you get when people notice you. The second kind of attention is the one you get when people notice you and want to learn more about you. The first kind is just called attention while the second kind is called quality attention. If you are going to be noticed, you want to be noticed in a positive way.

Anyone can get attention. Getting quality attention is more challenging. In order to get quality attention, you need to be performing at a consistent basis and boosting your credibility. As you do these things, you will get more quality attention. People will read your About Me page, buy your products, subscribe to your blog, and follow you on every social network to have.

Quality attention creates quality buzz. Attention just creates buzz. If you want to be a leader in your niche, you need to have quality attention. There need to be people who buy your products and want to learn more about you. Anyone can get attention with some money and an ad space. Quality attention comes from being remarkable.

Why Interviews Are Game Changers

March 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There is a sense of stage fright that consumes many people. When it comes to talking and knowing that 100 people (or thousands) will listen to what you say, some people in that situation feel a sense of fear. However, it is important to not only conquer this fear but also to be in more interviews. Whether you are the interviewer or the interviewee, interviews are big game changers that result in more traffic and sales.

If you are interviewing a well-known person in your niche, that person will tell their followers about the interview thus giving you more traffic. If you do a good job with the interview, that interview may result in more subscribers to your channel.

If you are the person being interviewed, more people get to know about you. If you get interviewed by someone with 10,000 followers, that person is sure to tell his/her 10,000 followers about the interview. Being interviewed enough times will result in more people knowing about you. If 10 people with 10,000 followers interview you and tell their followers about you, you are reaching 100,000 extra people.

Interviews are game changers in many ways. Whether you are being interviewed to get into a good school, for a job, or to get more traffic, they are important. The benefits of being interviewed or hosting an interview can no longer be ignored. They work wonders.

An Overlooked Way To Get More Traffic

March 2, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are plenty of ways to get more blog traffic. I recently read Yaro Starak’s free report about building an income with a blog. The free report taught me some things about blogging that I did not know…including an overlooked way to get more traffic.

Here’s what many people overlook: In order to get more traffic, you need to get more daily visitors on your blog. This seems like a statement you would find on the UberObvious Twitter feed. However, this is actually an effective way to get more traffic.

The more daily visitors you get, the more likely there will be someone who visits your blog and has a big following. If your blog is getting 100 daily visitors, you are more likely to encounter someone who has 100,000 followers than the person who is getting 10 daily visitors to their blog. Getting 1,000 daily visitors boosts your chances, and getting 5,000 daily visitors boosts your chances even more.

Getting more daily visitors will allow more people to know about you–and tell others about you. Getting more daily visitors leads to more visitors from other sources.

This is what many experts call The Snowball Effect. When you get more visitors, you will eventually reach someone who decides your content is worth promoting to 100,000 people. Then, some of those 100,000 people visit your blog, and your readership grows.

The Best Get The Most Attention

February 15, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

team building

There are millions of people in your niche (stampede). However, some people in the stampede decide to settle before they run off with the lead pack. There are many options to choose from, but some options are better than others.

That’s where best comes in. When there are so many options, people look towards the best in order to get the job done. I started the process of looking at colleges and universities, and I am well aware that the process is going to intensify as junior year comes closer. When it comes to choosing a college or university, students look for the best option. When it comes to choosing a coder, people look for the best coder, not the person who learned how to code a few weeks ago. When people look for the best social media expert, they look at the expert with over 100,000 followers, not the one with only 10,000 followers.

Everyone is trying to become the best which is why there is not a lot of room at the front of the stampede. In a marathon, there are a few top runners, and then a giant mass of runners tend to stick together. Everyone wants the gold medal, but there are not enough gold medals for everyone. Becoming the best will make you the go-to person of your niche.

There are too many people settling with where they are. Are you settled with where you are, or are you striving to become the best of your niche?
