The Power Of The Mindset

October 18, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Your mindset controls who you become. I’m sure you’ve read an inspirational quote that had something to do with the mind.

The mindset is very powerful, but it can also be very destructive. The mindset of an individual is the make or break point of any business. If you think you can, you will. If you think you can’t, you won’t.

Your mindset is the best life hack you have for achieving greatness. Think positively, and good things will happen to you.

No one has the power to change your mindset but yourself. If your mindset needs changing, no one else can provide it for you. You need to want the change to happen in order to respond and manifest in that change.

The “Idea” Bucket List

October 16, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

When we think of a good idea, we tend to write it down. However, it would be better to organize all of our ideas into one place, otherwise known as an idea bucket.

By organizing all of our ideas in one place, we won’t forget any of our brilliant ideas. In fact, I look back at my ideas often. For some, I wonder what I was thinking when I came to a particular idea. For others, I can’t wait to get started.

Your ideas are worth sharing, but they only get shared if they get implemented. They only get implemented if they are remembered.

Cheated Out Of Growth

October 13, 2013 by Marc Guberti 8 Comments

When the caterpillar develops into a butterfly, it needs to break out of its cocoon. If you saw a butterfly struggling to get out of it’s cocoon, what would you do? Would you get some scissors to cut a big hole in the cocoon so the butterfly could get out faster?

The struggle is an important process for the butterfly because this struggle pushes the fluid out of its body and into its wings. Then, the butterfly emerges out of the cocoon and is eventually able to fly.

Let’s say you got the scissors and made a big hole in the cocoon. The butterfly would have come out with a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The problem is without the struggle of getting out of the cocoon, the butterfly’s wings won’t grow in size. A butterfly who doesn’t have to go through the struggle of breaking out of the cocoon never gets to fly. The swollen body won’t go away either.

There are going to be struggles that we all must undertake. However, each struggle will be ended when we emerge victorious out of our cocoons. However, if you’re relying on someone else to cut out a portion of your cocoon so you can get out quicker, you are preventing yourself from growing.

Shoot For The Milky Way

October 8, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Stars seem difficult to reach. It seems as if it takes a very long time before we can actually reach stardom. Some people see landing on the stars as difficult as taking a full court shot in a game of basketball.

Reaching stardom is only as difficult as you make it out to be. Some people need to take the full court shot to achieve stardom. Others think of it as making free throw. Most people think of it as the full court shot though.

I’m not saying that achieving stardom is as easy as taking the free throw. However, it’s not as difficult as taking a full court shot, or even a half court shot.

People are shooting for the stars because whether they think achieving stardom is easy or difficult, people recognize it as achievable. The star is reachable. Once you reach that star, you’re work is going to pay off in abundance.

What I don’t get is that many people stop at the star. How can you stop at shooting for the stars when it’s possible to shoot for the Milky Way? Why not shoot for the Milky Way from the very start? Are you settling for the stars, or are you going beyond?

The Will And The Way

October 6, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The way you are thinking of might be the right way to go. You might end up thriving by going that way.

You might also end up thinking about the wrong way. That business opportunity isn’t as good as it looks.

There are plenty of choices, but the will allows us to decide which way we go. We have to have a desire to head in a particular direction before we actually head in that direction. If there’s a lot of crossroads, but there’s no logic of which way to go, there’s no motivation. Without that motivation, people end up going away from that path and taking another route.

The desire to continue will allow you to take the right way so you can thrive and unlock your potential. However, you need the will to continue even through the toughest times (they will come).

The way is nice. We know what we want to become. Take steps of action that will allow you to get closer to your future. If you’re already taking steps of action, take more steps of action.

Monday

September 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

If you can’t stand them, you need a new job. Better yet, you can start your own business. You shouldn’t dread Mondays ever because when we think about it, Mondays account for 1/7th of our lives. If we are spending over 10% of our lives dreading Monday, and then we spend over 10% of our lives waiting for Monday to pass, we aren’t going to live the happy lives we were all meant to live.

Break yourself from the curse, or if you like your Mondays, continue to do what you do (unless Mondays are your off days and Tuesdays are the days you dread).
