You Don’t Know Where Kindness Will Get You
The main purpose of Squidoo is to allow lensmasters such as myself to make money online and donate to charities at the same time. Some lensmasters have raised over $100 to charities of their choice while others are getting even closer to that goal. Squidoo can easily be described as a website making millions of dollars. Squidoo is not at its best right now because Google is losing its trust with Squidoo. Seth Godin who founded Squidoo made a conference call last week to address the main problems and give the lensmasters hope. This was a very kind thing to do since many lensmasters were beginning to question the future of Squidoo. Kindness towards charities resulted in thousands of dollars being donated, and Squidoo’s kindness to its lensmasters has resulted in high quality lenses that dominate Squidoo. To think less than 10 years ago, there was no Squidoo. Instead, Squidoo was just an idea to help more people. When I look at Squidoo today, I marvel at its success.
Waiting Is Not Good…At All
Waiting to succeed will get you nowhere. In the beginning of your journey as an entrepreneur, there is no ideal time to do the work. You just have to jump into your business and make your dreams come true. If I waited for the perfect moment to start working on my business (I’m assuming it would have been summer since I have no school), I may have been distracted by the pleasures of summer such as the warm days, friends coming over, and so on. Then school would have come around, and it would be unclear if I would have a business or not. Starting at mid February was much better, and I made over $200 before the summer instead of starting in the summer. There are a lot of bad habits for businesses, but waiting and procrastinating are the worst habits of them all.
Don’t Do It Because Everyone Else Is
There are many business strategies. Some work while others don’t. There are some business strategies that I have used and have seen great results. However, I ask you not to do something because the majority does it. Posting links on Twitter isn’t the best approach since everybody is doing it (and many people happen to share the same link). If you want to make it big online, then you have to be unique and productive.
Giving Back To Charities–Can Be A Business Benefit And Supporting A Worthy Cause At The Same Time
Giving back is something that many people do whether it is a $5 donation to a worthy cause or clothing that doesn’t fit anymore. Giving back can be productive for your business as well if you are smart about how you give back. I recently read an article about someone who donated $3 to a charity per Twitter follower. That person ended up donating over $250,000 to charities (which is a very generous donation) while getting, oh, an extra 83,000 followers. Today, this person has close to 400,000 followers, and this proves that you can give a lot back and help out your business at the same time.
