End Of The Year Urgency

There are a lot of people who are scrambling to get their work done. The goals that were written down all the way back in January are becoming very significant in the last 6 weeks of the year. This year is coming to a close, and people want to see this year as a good year for their businesses. These last 6 weeks are the weeks in which productivity sky rockets to uncomfortable rates.

There’s less time to kick back and relax. One hour breaks become half an hour breaks. Work keeps on piling on, and when a dim light shows up, more work piles on top of that dim light until the light goes away.

Everyone is hurrying over to Target, Toys R Us, and all of the other retail stores while others are frantically searching Amazon for products to buy. If you do that part now, you’ll be able to relax and watch everyone else going around in a frenzy during the first week of December. Most early shoppers won’t be able to watch for too long because they will have other work to do.

For many individuals, the last quarter is the most productive. The last quarter is crunch time in which progress gets measured. Did you move up from last year to this year? Was there a difference at all? Did anything incredible get accomplished? Everyone wants to be able to answer those questions with a “yes.” However, people start asking themselves these questions as the year comes to a close. This urgency is in action all around you whether you are the one feeling the urgency or one of your friends is feeling the urgency.

It is too late to fix the problem this year since there are only 6 weeks left in the year. However, you can n fix the problem on New Year’s Day. Think of quarters as years. Starting January, you will have to accomplish enough goal to say that you moved up from January to April. Then, continue the cycle. Instead of waiting for 365 days before assessing what you have accomplished, only wait for 1 quarter to do the same assessment.

There is no way around the urgency, but if you experience some kind of urgency all year, you won’t have to experience high rates of uncomfortable urgency at the end of the year.

Your Action Is Your Choice, Not The Critics’

“That’s wrong!” “It will never work.” “What were you thinking?”

The critics have more ways to voice their opinions. Some of the critics will praise your ideas while others will do everything in the power to say how bad your idea is. The critics, no matter how good or bad they talk about you, cannot have control over your decisions.

The critics thought an airplane would not be possible. The critics thought that televisions would become a fad because no one would want to sit still and watch something. The critics thought that cars wouldn’t make it. In the end, all of the critics are just giving you suggestions.

The critics are just telling you what they think is right or wrong about your idea. You decide whether or not to implement any of the suggestions that the critics give you. You make the calls when it comes to your idea and how to implement it. The critics may say that your idea won’t make it, but if you believe in your idea and are willing to implement that idea, you can prove the naysayers wrong just like the people who came up with the televisions, cars, airplanes, and other ideas which had their naysayers as well. Those naysayers have now fallen silent, and your idea has the power to make your naysayers fall silent as well.

When The Solution Involves Change

Entrepreneurs and businesses strive to do better. They want more sales, more customers, better products, and more visibility. In order to become better, it is sometimes necessary to change your approach. When the word change comes into play everyone is quick to question it. The questions are not about how the change can be a benefactor. The questions are about all of the risks and dangers associated with that change.

We have become resistant to change to the point where we don’t recognize the good changes. Lowering prices can be a good change, or selling more quality products with higher price tags will lead to a bigger commission. The ways your business are currently growing work, but as the market changes, methods that once worked will not work anymore. Television advertising is not what it used to be. Mobile advertising is the next big thing, but it won’t last forever. There will eventually be a new kind of advertising will dethrone mobile.

The market is always changing, and being resistant to that change is not an option. You can think of a game changer for your business, but if that game changer involves you making significant changes to your business or a product, you are going to resist that change to a certain degree. After you determine that the change will be beneficial, don’t hold back. Put the change into effect because that change is going to help your business thrive in the long run.

Writing the list of goals is the starting point towards accomplishing what needs to get done. Without direction, not all of the priorities will get accomplished. The priorities are the goals that need to be accomplished the most. There are some goals that are more important to accomplish than others. Some goals will have a bigger impact on your business than others.

Writing down the goals is a way to address what you need to accomplish. By ranking your goals and organizing them into priorities, you are able to give yourself the course of direction that will allow you to accomplish those goals.

Your list of goals is the map. The priorities act as your compass.

Google Plus used to be a ghost town, but it is now the second largest social network. The under dog came from behind with the help of more people learning about Google Plus, more visitors, and of course, the search engine Google.

Nevertheless, Google Plus has become an important social network. However, not everyone is using Google Plus to its potential. Here are five powerful ways to get more followers on Google Plus.

  1. Post on Google Plus consistently. The only way your followers are going to remember you is if you are active on Google Plus. By being active, you will commonly appear on your followers’ timelines. More of your followers will be able to share your posts with their followers. As more people share your content, you will also get more followers.
  2. Follow a lot of people on Google Plus. By identifying yourself as someone who follows back, people are likely to follow you just for the follow back. However, after seeing what you post, the people who originally followed you for the follow back will stick around, click on links, and share your posts.
  3. Answer your followers’ questions. When potential followers see you as a helpful person, they will follow you and ask a question. Every day, ask your followers if they have any questions for you. However, if you schedule this post, schedule it at a time when you will be able to answer the question as soon as possible.
  4. Put a Google Plus icon on your blog. After visitors are done viewing your blog, having the Google Plus icon in handy will allow you to get more followers. Show the Google Plus icon at the sidebar of your blog where people will see it as they scroll down.

Why Pinterest Is A Game Changer For Your Business

With over 70 million users, Pinterest is growing at a rapid pace, and if you’re not on Pinterest at all, then now is the perfect time to create an account. People are more likely to share content on Pinterest than on any other social network. Over 80% of pins are repins while the other social networks are behind.

Since people are commonly repinning other pins, it’s easier to go viral on Pinterest. When I had less than 1,000 followers, one of my pins got repinned almost a thousand times. You can go from unknown to viral on Pinterest as long as you have a few hundred followers and a really good pin.

Pinterest allows you to organize your content differently. Information can be organized into boards which can be moved around at any time. If you have three boards about infographics, you can put all three of those boards next to each other. If you have boards with videos, you can put all of those boards next to each other as well. Pinterest allows you to organize your content in a way that allows your followers to easily browse through the content they want to look at.

With Pinterest, you don’t have to talk exclusively about your business. You can pin based on your business on some of your boards, and you can pin about your interests on other boards. I have boards about social media, but I also have boards about penguins, baseball players, books, and Legos.

Pinterest boards allow you to become more specific. If you want to create boards with YouTube videos, you can create boards with humorous, informative, and inspirational videos. When you create boards that are specific, you have the power to satisfy specific needs that your followers have. Instead of browsing the web for humorous YouTube videos, your followers will be able to look at the videos you pinned on your board.

While you pin pictures relating to your business and interests, you can also pin pictures of your products. If you have written any books, or you want to recommend a product with an affiliate link, Pinterest will help you get a dramatic increase in sales. Consumers on Pinterest spend an average of $180 per purchase. Facebook comes in second place at an average of $85 per consumer.

Consumers are also more enticed to buy a product if they see a picture of the product. With Pinterest, you will be able to show a picture of the product, and when people click on the product, they can be led directly to the sales page. Pinterest will also allow you to target people with specific interests. If you have a board for every social network, people who are only interested in Twitter will still follow you since you have a board about Twitter. More boards will lead to more options which will lead to more followers.

Pinterest is too powerful to be ignored.
