Why You Need To Have A Reward System

December 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

We all get assigned or have to do a lot of work. On some days, the work is easy. On other days, the work can take hours. In order to consistently perform in a successful way, you need to stay motivated. Having a vision is important towards staying motivated. However, you also need to reward yourself every once in a while.

Some people focus on the work and forget about the reward. You need feel rewarded in order to stay motivated, and the best way to feel rewarded is by taking a break by doing soemthing you enjoy. You may enjoy running outside, watching your favorite TV show, or talking with friends on social media. Whether you enjoy any of these things or you enjoy to do other things, you need to reward yourself by taking a break.

After you give yourself the reward, you will be able to work with a clear mind. You will feel better about yourself because you rewarded yourelf. Rewarding yourself has the power to dramatically increase self-confidence.

Give yourself the break that you deserve. You will be better off with that break, and when you resume your work, you will feel empowered to achieve further greatness.

Focus On One Big Goal

December 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti 6 Comments

There are a lot of people who have many unrelated goals. The time these people spends accomplishing their goals gets scattered, and as a result, these people know a little bit about many things. In order to have a thriving business, you need to focus on one big goal.

All of your goals should impact the big goal. The big goal may be to increase blog traffic. Using social networks, writing longer blog posts, and doing some research on SEO are some of the things that you would have to do in order to increase blog traffic which is the big goal.

Few people focus on a big goal. However, those people are the ones who we know about. The farmers who plant the small pumpkins don’t get remembered as well as the farmers who plant the giant pumpkins.

You should focus on planting a giant pumpkin instead of planting many small pumpkins. It is better to be an expert in one particular area than to be an expert at everything. An expert at everything is really an expert of nothing, but an expert in a particular area is the expert that is highly sought.

What do you want to accomplish the most? That’s what you need to start first. All of your other goals should be related to what you want to accomplish.

5 Pinterest Mistakes To Avoid (Part 2)

December 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

A while ago, I wrote a blog post about 5 Pinterest Mistakes To Avoid. After learning more about Pinterest and using it more often, I decided to come up with a second part for this post. Pinterest is a powerful social network, but it is important to avoid these mistakes:

  1. Not following others. I made the mistake of not following others back when I wrote Part 1. I decided to follow people on Pinterest in an attempt to get more followers. Before I followed people on Pinterest, I was gaining around 5-10 followers every day. Now that I am following back on Pinterest, I am gaining over 100 followers every day. More people know about following others on Twitter, but I encourage you to also follow people on Pinterest.
  2. Not commenting on other pins. By commenting on other people’s pins, more people will be able to see your account, and you may have a conversation with the pinner. Only 1% of an average pinner’s time is spent commenting on other people’s pins. By commenting on other people’s pins, your comment will appear on the top. If you are the only person who left a comment on a pin that went viral, a lot of people are going to see your Pinterest account.
  3. Not utilizing Pinterest’s search feature. When I follow people, I make sure to follow people who would be interested in what I have to say. I use Pinterest’s search engine to find popular boards about social media. I follow that board and a lot of that board’s followers. Then, I get more followers, and all of those new followers are also interested in what I pin about.
  4. Not making money on Pinterest with advertised pins. I am not a big fan of advertising on a blog, but Pinterest is different. You can create a board with all of the advertisements. You will be able to receive a commission for each of those ads. You can make money with advertised pins on Pinterest by using Pinbooster or by allowing advertisers to contact you on your blog.
  5. Not pinning infographics. It is possible to be successful on Pinterest without infographics, but they are very helpful. Mix some infographics with the other things that you pin.

Those are the 5 mistakes to avoid on Pinterest. You can take a look at Part 1 here.

6 Advanced #Twitter Tips.

Twitter is a simple social network. Tweets cannot go over 140 characters and your bio cannot go past 160 characters. However, there are some advanced ways to use Twitter. By using Twitter to its fullest capability, you will be able to get more followers and engagement on Twitter. Here are 6 advanced Twitter tips that will dramaticaly improve your results.

  1. Use Twitter’s search engine to find targeted followers. Your targeted followers are the ones who are in your niche or are interested in your niche. By following the people who are likely to follow back, your following will grow, and your followers will be your targeted audience.
  2. Have a background picture that tells people about you. Use the background picture to tell people about your other social networks, your products, a phone number, and anything else that you want your followers to know about.
  3. Tweet links to your blog posts for most of the day. This will lead your blog to getting the most traffic possible. When I started tweeting about my blog more often, my blog’s traffic increased by over 300%. Social networks are all about building an awareness for something. In order to make people aware of your blog, you need to tweet about your blog more often.
  4. Include “r/t” at the end of some of your tweets. Tweets with “r/t” at the end get more retweets. Include “r/t” at the end of the tweets that you want to get retweeted.
  5. Use HootSuite to schedule your tweets. This will allow you to tweet consistently throughout the entire day. In addition, you should tweet every hour so more of your followers can see your tweets.
  6. Embed tweets on your blog. By embedding tweets on your blog, people will be able to follow you, retweet your tweet, or favorite your tweet with the click of a button. In addition, you should only embed your best tweets. Here’s how to embed tweets on your blog.

Twitter is a simple social network, but taking Twitter to the advanced level will allow you to get better results. You will get more followers, retweets, favorites, and mentions by utilizing these methods over time.

Set The Bar (Even) Higher

December 26, 2013 by Marc Guberti 5 Comments

When most people think about giving themselves goals, they give themselves the easiest goals imaginable. The goals may be, “writing 1 blog post every week that is only 100 words,” or something similar. While it is good that progress is being made, it is easily possible to make more progress. In order to make more progress, you need to set the bar higher.

When people think of setting the bar higher, they quickly think of reasons why the bar is already set as high as possible. There is no limit to how high any bar can be set. If a bar is set at 14.6 feet, know that it can also go to 15 feet. The bar can keep on going higher and higher.

As you set the bar higher and higher for yourself, you will be giving yourself challenging goals. However, when those goals get accomplished, you will see the results. You will be able to do something far better than ever before. You will be able to break records, be very productive, and ultimately be better off.

Setting the bar high requires work on your part. After that work gets done, you will have the prize: a new record, incredible productivity, a big increase in traffic, a lot of sales for your new product, or something else.

How To Make Money On Pinterest With PinBooster

December 26, 2013 by Marc Guberti 8 Comments

The big problem with Pinterest is that pinners can’t make money with their affiliate links. Pinterest would be the ideal social network to use affiliate links because of the pictures, the ability to add the price to the corner, and the ability to write a long description about the product.

The reality is that affiliate links aren’t a way to make money on Pinterest. However, there is a way to make a lot of money on Pinterest. If you want to make money on Pinterest, then you need to take a look at PinBooster.

PinBooster is the Sponsored Tweets for Pinterest. Advertisers have offers, and by accepting those offers, you get paid. The advantage with PinBooster is that you get to choose which board the ad goes on. I have a Pinterest board called Advertisements which is where all of the ads go.

Another advantage of PinBooster is that the price per pin is greater than the price per tweet. Sponsored Tweets recommends that I charge over $25 with 24,000 followers. PinBooster recommends that I charge close to $10 based on my 3,303 Pinterest followers (I have over 4,000 followers, but the statistic isn’t updating on PinBooster). I decided to calculate how much I would be able to charge per pin if I had 24,000 Pinterest followers. With over 24,000 followers, PinBooster would recommend my price to be over $70 per pin.

The difference is how each of the social networks work. Twitter is a giant feed that is constantly getting updated. Tweets appear and then get pushed to the bottom of the timeline. Pinterest is more organized into boards which allows the advertisements to be seen by more people. As a result, the cost per pin is greater than the cost per tweet.

PinBooster is one of the best ways to make money on Pinterest. Once you start using PinBooster, all you have to do is wait for the offers to start rolling in.

UPDATE: Now PinBooster refers to themselves as Loop88. Here’s the link.
