9 Ways To Get More Sales

April 30, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Increasing Sales

No matter what product you are selling, what niche you are in, or what your business is all about, you need sales in order to make a strong income from your business. However, many people are struggling to make sales let alone a single sale. There are books up on the Kindle have not been sold once. The main reason this happens is because the person who made the product does not know what to do in order to get more sales. I am going to provide the solution and share with you 9 of the methods I implement to increase my book sales. Whether you are selling books or toys, these methods apply to you.

  1. How frequently you create something new. The most successful self-published authors tend to be the ones who publish 1 eBook every month or publish 1 highly detailed eBook every year. The rate in which you create new products and the quality you can produce in that amount of time will determine how many potential sales your product could get.
  2. Market your product before it launches. If you want one of your products to get more sales, tell people about the product before it launches. I have mentioned my upcoming book Lead The Stampede in several of my blog posts. Each time I publish a blog post that references the book, people ask me when it will come out. To answer the question, Lead The Stampede will come out in Summer 2014.
  3. Write a blog post about your product that sells. In order to get more sales, you need to write a persuasive blog post. Instead of simply writing a description of your product with the big “Buy Now” button, give people a reason to buy the product. Here is an example of a persuasive blog post that resulted in one self-published author getting thousands of downloads for his book in less than a week.
  4. Build your credibility. An author who has written several bestselling books is going to get more sales for his/her next book than the author who started writing books a few months ago. In order to build your credibility, you need to get a strong following on a social network and have a popular blog. There are other ways to pull it off as well.
  5. Have multiple products available. Having multiple products gives you the possibility of returning customers. Once a returning visitor buys three of your products, chances are that visitor will buy a lot of the products that you create.
  6. Create a product that people would want to buy. Create products that people would want to buy. People only buy something for the quality. False! Fast food restaurants are not successful because of their quality. They are successful because of price and convenience. The three options you have are quality, price, and convenience (although all three in the same business always fails). I combine quality and price which means I produce quality products and sell them at much lower prices than the competition.
  7. Spread the word about your product using social networks. Find people who would be interested in your products and introduce yourself to those people. Spreading the word on social networks will allow you to get more sales and interact with those customers so you can ensure they come back for your next product.
  8. Get testimonials. The most successful products are the ones with good testimonials. Would you rather buy the product without testimonials, or would you want to buy the product with hundreds of positive testimonials? Most people would go with the product with hundreds of positive testimonials. When customers buy into the product, they are also buying into the testimonials about those products.
  9. Become a public speaker. By being a public speaker, you will be able to talk about your niche and inform people about your product at the same time. People are more likely to buy an author’s book after listening to that author talk about something in your niche for 20 minutes or so. The author’s signature also entices more people to buy the book.

There are numerous ways to get sales, but these are the 9 methods that I have used and seen good results. What are your thoughts about the list? Do you have any additional tips that you use to get more sales?

How To Double Your Blog’s Traffic In 1 Month

April 29, 2014 by Marc Guberti 12 Comments

It is the question that every blogger has. Bloggers want to see their traffic rise exponentially, but most bloggers do not know how to make that happen. For some bloggers, doubling monthly traffic will be easier in some months than on other months. Doubling 100 views in 1 month is easier than doubling 1000 views in 1 month. However, both of those numbers can be doubled within 1 month.

After several months of consistently doubling my blog’s traffic, my blog went from 500 monthly views to over 10,000 monthly views. The rise of this traffic was because I was getting more targeted followers at a faster rate. My traffic doubled yet again when I decided to tweet every 30 minutes instead of tweeting once every hour. Now, I am going to try and double my blog’s traffic again. My goal is to get my blog to surpass 25,000 views in May. It is going to be a challenging task to implement, but at the rate I am moving in, it is possible.

My goal is to schedule pins every day of the month, continue growing my Twitter presence, and boosting my blog’s SEO. Something helpful to know is that a blog’s SEO rises as traffic from social networks rises. I calculated that I should be able to get over 6,000 extra monthly views just from this, so I am halfway there.

The big thing to know that social networks and how frequently you post on those social networks is critical to your blog’s success. I have not tried this yet, but now with HootSuite Pro, I may be scheduling some posts to go up on my Facebook Page. That can give my blog an extra 100 views every month. In addition, getting traffic from the Facebook page will boost my blog’s SEO.

If you want your blog’s traffic to double, look at your social networks. If you are tweeting every two hours, bring the rate up to one tweet every hour. Then, bring that rate to one tweet every 30 minutes. If you are not using a social network effectively, build a presence on that social network. When I started to use Pinterest, I was getting no traffic to my blog from that social network. Over 10,000 targeted followers later, people are regularly repinning my pins and visiting my blog.

It’s all in your social media presence. Your SEO improves as your presence on your social networks build.

How To Write A Persuasive Blog Post

April 25, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Power of Persuasion

When you come out with a new product or want sales for an old product, you would want to write a persuasive blog post that encourages people to buy your product. Writing a blog post that describes your product with a Buy Now button at the bottom is not a persuasive blog post, and most of those kinds of blog posts rarely work for your own products.

If you master writing persuasive blog posts, most of your readers will be enticed to buy your product. The first thing you would want to do is tell people your story of creating your product. How did you come up with the idea? How many months of hard work did it take to create your product? How many hours straight did you work on your product? At the end of that paragraph, say, “After several hours, weeks, and months combined, I have finally created my product [name of product].”

After you tell people the name of your product, tell people why your product is special and is not like the others. The mistake many people make is rushing straight to what the product includes. That is the wrong approach. You first need to identify the problems people in your niche face. Then, you need to tell people in your next paragraphs how your product solves the problem. Throwing in a week long discount for the first week is also very helpful.

The persuasive blog post is not another way to say “Buy Me Product.” The persuasive blog post is a way to give people a strong reason why they would want to buy your product. Your sales page will do the job of listing all of the features of your product. Your blog post is just a way to give people a good idea of what your product is, the story behind it, and how this product can solve problems your potential customers face.

Great, Honest, And Thoughtful Content Wins

April 23, 2014 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

This seems obvious. However, we all need to be reminded.

There are shortcuts to writing. Sacrificing quality writing means a blog post takes less time to write. However, that kind of content never wins.

We are all focused on writing quality content, but that is not the only kind of content that wins. People are not going to like something just because it has quality. It needs to be something that is great, honest, and thoughtful.

Show your readers that you took the time to write a brilliant blog post. It is easy to stop at the first sentence. It is easy to overlook your writing and forget to fix the spelling mistake. It is easy to write a 5 paragraph blog post and then leaving out the last tip.

If you want to be an elite blogger, your content needs to be great, honest, and thoughtful.

How To Jump Start Your Blog

April 22, 2014 by Marc Guberti 9 Comments

Jumpstarting Blog Statistics

Whether your blog is about gardening or food, you can easily jump start that blog. As you continue writing blog posts, your blog will eventually see a dramatic rise in traffic. That’s what plenty of the experts say, but there is a shortcut. Although this shortcut requires more work on your part, it will allow your blog to become successful at a much faster rate. In order to jump start your blog, you need to build a targeted following on your social networks.

The numbers game no longer works. Tools like TwitterAudit are being used every day to find out who has the real followers and who has extra cash in their pockets to buy fake followers. Building a targeted following is the only option we have left to be successful on social media. The blogs that we all know about were created by a blogger who now has a big presence on a social network.

Having a targeted following on a social network guarantees that your followers like the content that you post. In addition, these followers are eager to click on your links and read your blog posts. The reason this blog experienced exponential growth over a span of several months is because I got targeted followers at a much faster rate. Although the exponential growth has sizzled down, I will expect to see more exponential growth in the summer. That’s what happened last year, and this year should be a repeat.

The moment it becomes much easier (and free) to schedule pins, my traffic will be able to exponentially increase. The reason is that I have over 10,000 targeted followers on Pinterest. In addition, I gain hundred of targeted followers on Twitter every day.

Ever since I started to focus on gaining targeted followers, I have seen a noticeable increase in my blog traffic. In August 2013, I got 587 views. Less than 6 months later, to start off 2014, my blog got 11,709 views for the month. That is what exponential traffic looks like, and in order to get that exponential traffic, you need to grow a targeted following on your social networks.

Social media has played a big role in this blog’s success, and social media will continue playing a big part in this blog’s success. My prediction is that once my blog starts to gain traffic exponentially again (last year, this started in the fall), my blog could reach 100,000 monthly views by the end of 2014. If you want to give your blog a big jump start, do not focus on the search engines. Focus on growing a targeted following on your social networks. In fact, building a strong presence on a social network improves your SEO.

Why You Need To Take A Part In The Squidoo Challenge

April 21, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Squidoo Logo

I have been on Squidoo for several years and have been able to make several thousand dollars on the platform. Squidoo is a great way to meet new people, build strong connections with potential customers, and learn a lot about writing quality content. Many of the lessons I have learned about writing quality content for this blog and my eBooks came from Squidoo’s writers.

Squidoo encountered an unexpected decline in traffic and went from 1 million daily visitors to 250,000 daily visitors. A contributing factor towards Squidoo’s decline were new changes, some writers leaving Squidoo, and the 1% who used Squidoo to promote spam. However, Squidoo is on the rise. The revenue per page on Squidoo is going to grow dramatically in the next year, and taking advantage of Squidoo’s future revival and further success is not time-consuming.

In my Squidoo Challenge, I mention how easy it is for Squidoo to rebound from its current 250,000 daily visitors to 1 million daily visitors. In fact, Squidoo could even go back to 2 million users and some pages on Squidoo would end up making a guaranteed $100 every month. The people who help bring Squidoo back to where it was are going to benefit the most when Squidoo gets back to where it was.

Squidoo has a great community of writers who enjoy sharing each other’s content and advising new writers as well. By becoming a part of that community, you will be able to learn more about writing quality content and build more connections while making money at the same time! If you do not have a Squidoo account, then what are you waiting for? Join us.
