4 Tips To Becoming An Influencer

August 22, 2014 by Marc Guberti 6 Comments

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

Influencer

Becoming an influencer allows you to become an important public figure in society. Since one of the human desires is to be and feel important, many people strive to be influencers. However, most people are doing it all wrong, and many of these people have the wrong definition for what an influencer is. An influencer is someone who changes the world, and many people would miss if that influencer went away. Nelson Mandela is someone that millions of people miss, and he changed the world. We now celebrate Mandela Day every year.

Chances are you want to be an influencer too. Whether you become an influencer at Mandela’s level or not, it is important to know how to become an influencer in the first place. In order to become an influencer, here are the four things you need to do:

  1. Identify the audience you want to change. Who is going to benefit from the changes you put in place? You need to choose who you are targeting, and if you choose everyone, then you are really targeting no one.
  2. Money comes second. Alas, everyone ignores this one. Being an influencer is about making a difference and changing the world. It’s not about ending up with some extra green cash in your pocket. If you want to be an influencer, you need to put money second. The money will come eventually, but changing the world needs to be your top priority.
  3. Make it your livelihood. If you are trying to be an influencer and are working at two jobs, things are not going to work out in your favor. In order to be an influencer, you need to focus a majority of your time on changing the world the way you want to.
  4. Get people to know about you. This is where social media is very helpful. You want to interact with the people you are trying to change. The bigger your audience is, the more your message will spread.

You have the power to change the world. YOU have the power to make a difference. By being an influencer, you will be able to change the way many people live their lives. What are your thoughts on these tips and being an influencer?

3 Social Media Tips To Get More Clicks

August 22, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Social Media Clicks

Social media is a tool that allows you to interact with your followers and build an audience. However, social media is not the place to make money. Social media is the place for you to build awareness for your products and blog. You want more people to click on the links to your articles so you are able to bring in more revenue. The problem for most people is that getting those clicks is difficult. After tweeting blog post after blog post, only a few clicks come in. If you are successfully able to address this problem and get more clicks, your blog traffic will soar, and you will get more sales. In order to address that problem, follow these three social media tips.

  1. Grow a targeted audience. A targeted audience is different from any other kind of audience. This kind of audience is one that enjoyed the type of content you share before they started following you. Now that these people are following you, they will be interested in your content.
  2. Tweet better headlines. The headline is the sole indicator of how many times a link gets clicked. The more catchy and clear your headline is, the more clicks that headline is going to generate for the link. Here are some ways to master the headline.
  3. Tweet more often. The more content you tweet, the more people you are going to reach. It is important to remember that the world has different time zones. A podcast I would be featured in was scheduled to start at 3:30 pm. I got on my computer at 3:30 pm and then sent an email to verify that it was going to happen. Little did I know, the person was using Pacific time. This person’s version of 3:30 was my version of 6:30, and my version of 3:30 was this person’s version of 12:30. Although email and social media have connected us more than ever, the time zones remain disconnected. You need to tweet throughout the entire day so you reach everyone at the optimal time, no matter what time zone these people live in.

Implementing these three tips will allow you to see a gradual increase in the amount of clicks that you get. By getting more clicks, your will be more likely to sell more products in a shorter amount of time. What were your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

7 Things That Set Entrepreneurs Apart From The 9-To-5ers

August 21, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Entrepreneur Power

The sad truth is that there are more 9-to-5ers than there are entrepreneurs. The main reason there are not as many entrepreneurs is because entrepreneurship is downright difficult. Every successful entrepreneur has a story of struggle because it’s a giant struggle to become successful as an entrepreneur. However, the giant struggle that leads you to a successful, fulfilling life is better than going through your entire life living through the struggle (doing something that you do not want to do). That’s why entrepreneurship is powerful. Everyone on the Forbes billionaire list, and most of the people on the millionaire list are entrepreneurs.

The reason entrepreneurs are able to do what they do is because they are different from the typical 9-to-5er. Here are the seven big differences.

  1. Entrepreneurs do not settle. Since entrepreneurs are their own bosses, they don’t wait for someone to give them a raise. Entrepreneurs create their own raise by putting in more work and effort. The 9-to-5ers settle with where they are and occasionally get the raise.
  2. Entrepreneurs work smartly. If something can be done in less time, the entrepreneur grasps the opportunity. On the other hand, the 9-to-5er focuses on working hard and just thinking about the paycheck and driving home at 5 pm.
  3. Entrepreneurs love what they do. Sure, there are rare exceptions where some of the 9-to-5ers love what they do, but entrepreneurs get to pursue anything they want to any extent they want.
  4. Entrepreneurs have more control over their schedules. 9-to-5ers are stuck at work from 9 to 5 while entrepreneurs control their own work hours. Some entrepreneurs work while their children are at school while others wake up at the crack of dawn to get started on their work.
  5. Entrepreneurs have the potential to make more money. Most of the wealthy people in society are entrepreneurs. While the status quo has its limits, entrepreneurship has no limits to success and wealth whatsoever.
  6. Entrepreneurs are obsessed with their work. Entrepreneurs work much longer than the 9-to-5ers. Although that is because entrepreneurs are doing what they love to do, they become obsessed with their work.
  7. Entrepreneurs get to change the world. Some entrepreneurs get to change the world, and if you get to change the world as an entrepreneur, you will feel incredible about yourself. The 9-to-5ers do not get to change the world because they continue listening to and fulfilling the boss’ orders.

Entrepreneurship allows you to think outside of the box instead of staying trapped within the box. In addition, the work you put in as an entrepreneur has the potential to be very fun since you can choose what kind of business you create. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any other things that set entrepreneurs apart from the 9-to-5ers? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

How To Make Social Media Profitable

August 21, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Profitable Social Media

The people who are building strong incomes around their social media profiles are not making the money directly from their social networks. Instead, these people are making their revenue from the blogs and products they promote on their social networks.

Before you think of making a profit on your social networks, you need to do two things. The first thing is that you need to make sure your blog is profitable. That means your blog must be able to grab email addresses efficiently, and there must be a system in place that encourages your subscribers to buy your products.

The second thing you need to do is define the desired profit. If you want to make a profit, you can make $1 in profit and you have fulfilled your purpose. Chances are you were not thinking of profit in that regard, but you need to define how much profit you want to make. Do you want to make $1,000 profit every month or go beyond that?

After you have that settled down, you need to use your social networks to get more blog traffic. Although search engines have really been picking it up lately for this blog, social media still accounts for a majority of this blog’s traffic.

That’s how you make a profit on social media. Some people have been able to make thousands of dollars in profit just by sending their social media audiences over to their blogs. Each time you promote an article, that article should promote your blog or one of your products in some way or the other.

How are you making your social media accounts profitable?

Working Smarter and Faster VS Working Harder

August 20, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Work Smarter

Most people work hard. They put in all of their dedication into something and hope for the best. These people constantly do the same things every day and never bother to explore out of the norm.

Few people work smarter and faster. These people are able to get the same tasks done every day. Working hard is manually scheduling 80 tweets with HootSuite. Working smarter and faster is getting HootSuite Pro and scheduling 80 tweets with just 4 clicks with HootSuite’s bulk scheduler.

It’s great to work hard because there is dedication involved, but how can you get the same result in less time? Working smarter and faster will allow you to find more things to work hard at and ultimately be more productive.

How My Blog Got Over 100 Views From Twitter Alone In Less Than An Hour

August 20, 2014 by Marc Guberti 10 Comments

100 Views For Blog

For the statistic crunchers out there, that adds up to over 2,400 daily views. At the time, my blog normally got around 32 views every hour which resulted 750 daily views. However, July 21st would be the day that I would call everyone together to help my blog get 1,000 views in one day. This was definitely a nail bitter. It was 11 pm and I had a little over 900 views. At the time, 900 daily views was rare, so I took the opportunity to bring it up to 1,000 views.

I started off by pinning my latest blog posts, but that only got me a few visitors. Most of the visitors I got from Pinterest ended up coming the next day. That helped me have back to back days of over 1,000 views, but for this particular day, Pinterest was not the strong point. When in doubt, I always resort to Twitter where my audience is the biggest.

I started off by increasing my tweeting frequency. From 11 pm to midnight, I sent out one tweet every five minutes. I really wanted this one and was willing to manually schedule tweets to get the job done. Sure enough, I was plugging away with Google’s calculator option, and as the minutes went by, I realized that my goal was less likely to happen. This was not the scenario where I wanted to make the mistake and learn from it. This was a scenario where I put everything on pause, still had work to do after midnight, and wanted to get 1,000 views in one day.

Then at 11:35 pm, I sent out the tweet.

It got a few favorites, and now the tweets that were getting sent out got more attention. I was able to send out four more tweets with links to my blog posts. Throughout those 25 minutes, I kept everyone updated about my blog’s status.

After I sent out this tweet, I realized that my goal was going to be realized. I kept on refreshing my blog’s statistics page until the blog passed 1,000 views.

https://twitter.com/MarcGuberti/status/491430155445735425

When my blog got its 1,000th view for the day, I sent out the celebration tweet. It got more attention than any of the other tweets.

https://twitter.com/MarcGuberti/status/491432102101913601

My blog ended up getting 1,030 views that day. That means in 25 minutes, this blog got 77 views. That’s 3 views every minute which adds up to over 4,000 views in one day.

Of course, this rate slowed down after I reached the milestone, but now this same milestone that once seemed impossible happens every day. I can now say that I get over 1,000 daily visitors.

This taught me three valuable lessons. The first lesson reminded me of how important it is to tweet at the moment. The second lesson taught me that the urgency of the matter encouraged myself and my audience to act. The third lesson is that if you build an audience of people who care about what you do, you will be able to go far and spread.
