Why Self-Publishing Books Is A Legitimate Way To Make A Full-Time Income

June 15, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

Self-Publishing Books

There are many people who are not sure about whether self-publishing their own books is a legitimate way to make a full-time income or not. While some people are making over $100,000 every year from their books, the vast majority struggles to make $500 every month from their self-published books. This statistic along with others as well is what makes many people doubt the power of self-publishing your own books.

However, there is hope in building a strong income by self-publishing your own books. In fact, it is more likely than you think to build a strong income around your self-published books. In fact, if you put in a lot of work, you will be able to see a quick increase in your earnings. Steve Scott was able to go from self-publishing his first book to making 6 figures every year in just two years. That’s a big transition in a short amount of time. The best part is that it is possible for you to undergo the same transition in a shorter amount of time.

The reason why most people are making under $500 a month from their self-published books is because these people do not know how to make a strong revenue from the system in place. Most people think that the system is to self-publish one book and keep on promoting that one book until everything works out. That is the mistake that prevents most self-published authors from making 6 figures every year from their books. In order to become successful, you need to be able to publish 1 quality book every month.

That may sound like more work than is necessary, but by publishing books at this rate for months and years to come will give your customers more options. In addition, publishing books at this rate will give more choices for your returning customers.

In order to fully understand why you need to publish more books faster, you need to think of your self-publishing career’s success similar to a blog’s success. There are many blogs that get thousands of daily visitors because the blog has over 1,000 blog posts that are all getting at least 1 daily visitor. More blog posts allows more people to find your blog based on the content they are looking for. Books work in the same way. The more you have, the more sales you are going to make. As you make more sales, you boost your own ranking and will eventually become a popular author. If one of your $2.99 books makes 1 sale every day, then you are only making $2.07 every day and $62.10 every month. However, 30 books that each make 1 sale every day results in $62.10 every day and $1,863 every month. That is still not a six figure income, but it’s a lot more than you were going to get compared to only having 1 self-published book up for sale.

Self-publishing your own books is an easy and powerful way to build your income. You may not see a dramatic change in your earnings for a while, but when you see the dramatic change in earnings, your earnings will keep on going up and exceed your expectations. Let’s go back to the example of having 30 $2.99 books for sale. If all of those books averaged 5 sales each every day, then you would make six figures every year. If you relied on one book, then that one book would have to get 133 paid sales every day in order to bring in six figures every year.

Right now, you may be wondering how exactly you can live up to the expectation of self-publishing one book every month. I wrote a book called How To Publish More Kindle eBooks Faster where I share all of the strategies I use to self-publish 1 book every month even with school, track, and homework. It’s a quick read that won’t even take 30 minutes to go through, but you will learn new tactics that will transform the way you write every day.

The Three Thoughts That You Need To Get Rid Of Right Now To Become Successful

June 15, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Bad Thoughts To Have

You have more control over your success than you realize. Success starts with having the right mindset. You can have all of the connections and all of the revenue to implement a campaign. No matter how many resources you have, many or few, everything comes down to your mindset. Although the mindset is important, many people have different thoughts in their head that prevent them from becoming successful. Having these thoughts will lead you to the wrong path and slow down your success. Before you launch another campaign, write another word for a blog post, or send out another tweet, you need to get rid of these three thoughts so you can reach success at a faster rate.

  1. Believing that you need to be perfect. There is no person or business that is perfect. If you think you are the exception, you need to wipe that out of your mind. You will make mistakes, people will say bad things about your business, and your book will get a bad review. Instead of being perfect, you need to be as perfect as possible to the people that matter for your business–your target audience.
  2. Believing that you have settled. The only people who believe they have settled are the ones who have given up and never go far. That does sound harsh, but sometimes the truth needs to be harsh in order for it to be acknowledged. Never settle with where you are. Keep on growing and experimenting with new ideas. One of those ideas may allow you to grow twice as fast as you would have grown if you settled.
  3. Doubting your abilities. In order to become successful, you need to believe in your ability to become successful. If you doubt yourself, you will constantly be afraid of taking steps forward. For the people with this mindset, it only takes a few more steps forward for the entire plan to collapse and fall apart. The doubt will consume you and prevent you from seeing what you have already accomplished and that you are a credible person in your niche.

Those are the three thoughts that you need to get rid of as quickly as possible. These three thoughts are the biggest hurdles for success. If you don’t have the revenue yet, your faith and desire to keep on growing will allow you to eventually obtain the revenue you need. If you have any of these three thoughts running through your mind, then you need to do everything in your power to get those thoughts out of your mind. Look at success stories of the leaders in your niche, get a motivational quotes app for your phone, read inspirational books, listen to music from Rocky, and do anything else that you can do in order to raise your spirits and get these thoughts out of your mind.

How To Remain Patient Through Hard Times

June 14, 2014 by Marc Guberti 3 Comments

Patience Is A Virtue

Something that almost everyone despises is remaining patient. Remaining patient after putting in a lot of work for months and years is what allows people to become successful. Every successful blogger has a lot of patience. It takes a lot of dedication to continue writing 1 blog post every day even when no one is visiting. It’s when the blogger gets 100 daily visitors when everything starts to pay off (and grow even faster).

Most people tend to be at the stage of the game that requires a lot of patience. This stage of the game is not a matter of knowing what to do. It’s a matter of already knowing what to do, learning more along the way, but having to put in the same amount of work (or more than that) every day until something magical happens. When that magical thing happens, your traffic stats, followers, and sales will soar.

I was very patient with my blog. During my first month, I got a whooping 38 views. Now I get over 100,000 visitors every year. It took me 30 months to go from where I started to getting 100,000 visitors every year.

I said that every successful blogger needs to be very patient in order to be successful, but I would like to expand the definition to any successful person. It doesn’t matter what niche you are in. Success requires putting in a lot of work while remaining patient. Steve Jobs had to be very patient in order to become successful. So did Mark Cuban, Richard Branson, and all of the other successful people in the world.

Now that you know that patience is a critical component towards becoming successful, you should know exactly how to remain patient through hard times. One of the best ways to remain patient is to remember why you started. Did you start because you wanted more financial flexibility? Did you start because you want to become the best person in your niche? There are a variety of reasons why you could have started, but by reminding yourself why you started, you will give yourself the motivation you need to continue and remain patient.

It’s also beneficial to realize that every successful person had to be patient as well. I went into great detail about this, but it is important to realize that the people who you admire had to be very patient. Do you admire a professional athlete? Just remember that the professional athlete you admire is someone who spent countless hours practicing, playing the sport throughout high school and college, playing for farm team systems, and then excelling once the opportunity presented itself. Do you admire a marketer? There was one point when no one knew about that particular marketer.

There was also a point when no one knew about you. You may think that is still the case, but there are people who have learned about you in the past months. You are going through the same journey that the most successful people in the world went through. Not only did it take a long time for these successful people to go through these journeys, but they also failed numerous times along the way. I’m sure that would encourage you to remain patient through hard times. Just because you fail does not mean you have to throw in the towel. Failure gives you another reason to get up and continue so that you are eventually able to get it right…and become successful at the same time.

When all else fails, look at success stories of other people and envision yourself becoming that successful. Envision yourself getting the same results as the person who is already successful. Think about the dream and imagine what would happen if it turned into a reality. This will give you the motivation and patience you need to learn more about your niche, get more work done, and implement more tactics in order for your dream to become a reality.

Those are the best ways to remain patient through hard times. There are other ways to remain patient, but out of all of the methods out there, I have had the most success at remaining patient with the methods I included in this blog post. What are your thoughts about the methods I use to remain patient? Do you have any additional tips on staying patient? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

The 7 Laws Of Social Media Marketing

June 14, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is one of the most important ways to grow your business. Social media allows you to build connections that last for a long period of time, and marketing your products and blog posts on a powerful platform will allow you to get more traffic. The only way to be successful with social media marketing is by knowing what tactics must be followed. These are the Seven Laws Of Social Media Marketing:

  1. Provide quality content. You can spend $100,000 on advertising, but in the end, quality content is what makes people stick around. You may get a big spike in traffic in the beginning, but that traffic will go on a rapid decline if the content you lead your visitors to is bad.
  2. Be patient. It’s easily to get discouraged with only 100 followers. However, by being patient and constantly learning, you will eventually grow your following dramatically. There was a point when I had 0 followers on Twitter, and there was a point when I was stuck at 1,667 followers for several months. By being patient, I ended up discovering a method which I now use to gain 500 followers every day. In addition, the only reason this blog is successful is because of my Twitter account. Then, everything else (SEO, better content, etc) came into place.
  3. Optimize your blog. This one is a must (but then again, they all are). Once you get visitors, throwing away that traffic would be such a shame. This is the part that many people forget, and as a result, they throw away the traffic they get. Boost the chances of having someone subscribe to your blog by creating a blog that is designed to have a very low bounce rate.
  4. Have a clear message. Your message determines who your targeted audience is. Make your message clear by focusing on specific niches instead of having an unclear message with too much clutter. It is better to focus on 1 niche than it is to give some of your attention to 10 things you are interested in and make that your message.
  5. Listen to others. One of the qualities of leaders is to listen before speaking. Take the time to read your followers’ tweets before you respond to them. In addition, listen to people’s problems concerning your niche. What are certain aspects of your niche that give people the hardest time? Listening will help you identify the answer to that question and give you an idea for your next product.
  6. Include a free prize. The more free prizes you have, the better. Include a free prize in your social media marketing strategy so you get more likes, retweets, repins, or any other social media metric that you want. You can also include a free prize on your blog so more people who go to your blog from social networks are likely to become subscribers.
  7. Post content more often on your social networks. Going from tweeting once every hour to tweeting once every 30 minutes did me a lot of good. Going on to send out one tweet every 20 minutes yielded better results. Part of social media marketing is getting seen by as many people as possible. By scheduling posts (which allows you to post consistently), more people will be able to see your posts. In addition, send out posts when most of your followers are online. Facebook has its own statistics for Facebook Pages that allow you to see this while you can use Tweriod to see when people are on Twitter.

In order to get the best results from social media marketing, you need to follow these rules. Although they do not guarantee overnight results, performing these actions will allow you to see a dramatic increase in traffic and conversions over time. What are your thoughts on these social media marketing laws and do you have any other tips you would like to share? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

5 Ways That Having A Free Prize Can Help Your Business Grow

June 13, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

business growth

If you do not have a free prize, your chances of being successful in your niche go down. Free prizes have become more important than ever because more people offer them. Free prizes are not as rare as they used to be. In fact, it seems as if free prizes are expected. The occasional two for one deal is expected. Getting a free product after entering your email address is expected. Free prizes are expected, and therefore, you need to fulfill the expectation. I went more in detail in a previous post about how you can go beyond expectations, but having a free prize is going to set you apart from the people who still do not offer a free prize.

You may be wondering at this point where you would offer your free prize and why you would do so. There are numerous places where offering a free prize would do you good. Here are the big five:

  1. Blog subscribers. This one seems to be the most obvious reason why someone would want to offer a free prize. More people than ever before are offering free prizes to the people who subscribe to their blogs. This is the area where a free prize is almost expected. Visitors aren’t just going to subscribe to your blog so they can get emailed by you every day. They can just visit your blog every day. If you want someone to subscribe to your blog, you need to offer them more than an email every time a new blog post comes out.
  2. Facebook likes. There are not as many free prizes on Facebook, but they do exist. If you get emails from Facebook each time someone likes your Facebook Page, you will be able to reward the people who like your Facebook Page. By telling everyone that they get a free prize when they like your Facebook Page, you will be able to make your Facebook Page look (and become) more popular. Then, you will eventually be able to get hundreds of likes every day. Better yet, you can also offer a free prize when someone likes or shares one of your Facebook posts.
  3. Twitter retweets. Free prizes are a little harder to announce on Twitter which means you will surprise people when you give them the free prize. When one of your followers retweets one of your tweets, send that person a DM with their free prize. If you want more people to know about the free prize, you can pin a tweet announcing the giveaway at the top of your feed. Since a free prize for retweeting a tweet is so rare, some people will retweet you just to get the free prize.
  4. Email newsletter. If your email newsletter promotes a particular product, give away a free prize similar to the product you are promoting. If the product you are promoting is a 50 video series about Twitter for $497, make your free prize a 7 video series about Pinterest. In this case, the free prize is similar to the product that you will be promoting to all of the people who gave you their email addresses.
  5. YouTube subscribers. Offering a free prize to your YouTube subscribers will entice more people to subscribe. In addition, those subscribers will give you the leverage you need to go viral. Most of the videos and channels that go viral on YouTube are also the ones with thousands of subscribers. Offering a free prize may allow you to get thousands of extra YouTube subscribers.

Those are the five places where free prizes will allow your business to grow. When you promote a free prize at these places, you need to make sure that each of these free prizes are unique. Offering the same free prize to everyone does not encourage someone already subscribed to your blog to like your Facebook Page. In addition, by creating multiple free prizes, your potential customers will love you for it.

10 Ways To Get More People To See Your Facebook Posts

June 13, 2014 by Marc Guberti 5 Comments

facebook icon

There are some Facebook Pages that get thousands of likes every day, and over 100,000 people see all of the posts that get published. However, a majority of Facebook Pages are struggling to get noticed. Some of these Facebook Pages only get seen by 10 people every day while others get seen by only 10 people every week. If those numbers were able to grow consistently, then a previously unknown Facebook Page would end up becoming a very successful Facebook Page with over 100,000 likes.

Imagine what your Facebook Page would look like with 100,000 likes. Imagine not just having expert status but being an elite expert in your niche. That would be really cool. No matter what your Facebook Page is about, it is possible for anyone to get 100,000 likes without buying them. You don’t need to contact someone who sells 100,000 Facebook likes for $29 to have the big number. Instead, you need to learn how to get more people to see your Facebook Page. By implementing these tactics, you will get more people to see your Facebook Page, and for the long-term, allow your Facebook Page to eventually surpass 100,000 likes.

  1. Post content that people would want to like and share. This content needs to be related to your niche and be something valuable at the same time. All of your posts need to have a combination of those two components.
  2. Post at least 4 times every day throughout the day. Schedule your Facebook posts to appear at certain times of the day so most of your audience sees the posts. The best times to send out posts vary for everyone. If you are using a Facebook Page, you will be able to gain access to Facebook’s analytics which tell you when a majority of the people who liked your page are logged in.
  3. Post meaningful content. In addition to posting about something worth sharing, the content in your posts needs to encourage people to share your content. Including a link to your blog post with that blog post’s title may be good enough for Twitter, but it is not good enough for Facebook.
  4. Track your results. You need to send out posts that are similar to your most popular posts. By tracking your results, you will be able to identify the ideal times to send out your posts and what color the pictures in your post need to be.
  5. Promote your Facebook Page on your blog. Your biggest source of organic fans is the visitors that you already get on your blog. Your blog is your own home on the web. People who visit your blog and like what they see will be more likely to like your Facebook Page.
  6. Use your social networks to promote your Facebook Page the right way. Instead of begging people to like your Facebook Page or do a like exchange, send out tweets and pins containing your Facebook posts every day. Sharing the posts on your Facebook Page will generate more awareness for that page and also result in more likes.
  7. Use Facebook Advertising to spread the word about your Facebook Page. Most of the successful Facebook Pages either currently use Facebook Advertising to market themselves or used Facebook Advertising at a certain point in time. Facebook Advertising allows you to find very targeted people based on state, city, country, age, interests, and more.
  8. Offer a free prize in exchange for a like. More people will like your Facebook Page if they get a reward (the free prize) for doing so. It’s only logical. In addition, you can also offer a bonus free prize if people like specific posts on your Facebook Page. That will boost the number of likes, shares, and engagement as well.
  9. Have a giveaway that requires people to share the post. If one of your posts goes viral on Facebook, then your entire Facebook Page goes viral. Having a giveaway is a great way to encourage sharing. The more compelling the giveaway prize is, the more people are going to share the post. Have a $25 Amazon Gift Card giveaway and watch how quickly it spreads all across Facebook. More people will see your post for sure.
  10. Promote your Facebook Page in your YouTube videos. Videos have become very important over the years, and YouTube is a great way to promote your Facebook Page. YouTube gets over 1 billion visitors every month, and some videos end up going viral. If your video goes viral, then your Facebook Page will go viral too.

As more people see your Facebook posts, the number of people who see your posts will grow exponentially. If 1,000 people share your Facebook post, that means at least 10,000 people saw the post. When someone shares a post, some of their friends get to see the post that they shared. The immediate result of this is that more people get to see your post and hear your message.

What are your thoughts of using a Facebook Page and getting more people to see your Facebook posts? Do you have any additional tips about getting more exposure on Facebook? Please share your thoughts and advice below.
