Expiration Dates Are Everywhere

June 6, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Information gets old. Cheese rots. Membership to a website is over. There are many things that expire over time. The main reason things expire is because information is updated, someone wants more money, or food just went bad.

There is no set expiration date for a blog. With daily posts containing updated information, the blog itself will never get old. There are some blog posts that may have false statistics such as “Twitter only having 100 million users.” That was true a while ago, but now that statement is false. Twitter currently has over 500 million users, but that can change as well.

New information contradicts old information, more money is needed to regain membership to a website, and cheese rots so you know if it is safe to eat or not. The visitor is always searching for something. Make sure you give them something without an expiration date.

The only way to do that is to constantly update your blog, Twitter account, and everywhere else that you write online.

Lightsabers And Bacteria

June 5, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

In Star Wars, the lightsaber was the weapon of choice. The lightsaber could cut through everything in sight and deflect bullets. Lightsabers are an innovation to the sword which is just metal. The lightsaber can also do more damage than a normal sword. A lightsaber shows innovation and power; a splendid combination.

However, the person using the lightsaber doesn’t have to be a good person. The Siths use red lightsabers and get what they want by force. They are using the innovation and power of a lightsaber for their evil deeds. The Jedi use the blue and green lightsabers, fight off the Siths, and they are the peacemakers. In a constant struggle to have intergalactic peace, the Jedi and Siths often encounter each other. A lightsaber can do good, but it can also cause a lot of havoc and destruction.

Bacteria are very similar to lightsabers, although they have some differences. A bacterium won’t be able to cut through steel, but under good conditions, they can divide into 2 bacteria every 20 minutes. If there were perfect conditions for bacteria to divide for an entire day, there would be over 4 trillion bacteria.

Bacteria are more abundant than lightsabers by far, but the entire concept is the exact same. There are some bacteria that we couldn’t function as well without them, but there are also other bacteria that can be very harmful.

The lightsabers are more known for being able to do good and evil, but the bacteria are able to slip past the lines. The bacteria have a choice to show up as a benefactor or a malefactor.

Pennies Add Up

June 4, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I recently created an account on Bubblew and submitted my first article about The Pros And Cons Of Following Back On Twitter. There are a variety of ways to get paid for using their services such as views, shares, likes, and many other ways including dislikes. For each of these interactions, you get $0.01. I have already made over $1 on my first day, and I am excited to see the potential.

When you are working on your ideas, realize that the money will not come to you right away. It will take time before you make thousands of dollars every month, and you might get low paychecks such as $0.75. Remember that the low paychecks are final for a limited time; you can always do better on the next paycheck.

UPDATE: Bubblews has been taken down because of the way advertising has changed. It was fun creating articles for them but now I must turn a new chapter.

What We Learn From Final Exams

June 3, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Thank goodness for scheduling blog posts. Right now, I am taking my Latin final exam, and I will have 3 to go after that. I have been studying for all of my subjects this entire weekend, and I will continue to study for the entire week until Thursday (then school is over). The way final exams are taken can be a lesson for business owners.

Final exams require a student to recall everything he or she has learned for the entire school year (in some cases such as mine, the second semester). Either way, that is a lot of information to learn within a short period of time. The more information you learn in a short amount of time, the better you will be able to do on the final exam.

The final exam forces you to cram in everything and hope to get a good result. Although most businesses owners aren’t recalling everything they know on a weekend, taking final exams will teach you how to learn more information quicker within a shorter period of time. By recalling and learning more information, you will be able to learn and remember more things for your business as well. I have been able to remember every Twitter tip that can help with getting more followers, and by the end of the summer, you can expect a book from me about being successful on Twitter.

By taking final exams, we are also forced out of our comfort zone. Students do better in some subjects than in others. However, the final exams require a student to recall and learn information on every subject. By being forced to do something we may not like in the beginning, we are able to excel in it and move forward.

Final exams can either be the best way to learn or a horror depending on the student. The more you learn or learned from taking endterms, the more information you will be able to recall and learn for your business.

Never Give Up On Your Ideas

June 2, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Batman is a superhero who is clever, analyzes all of the details, and is determined to capture the criminals. The Dark Knight is now a very popular superhero, and has been featured in 3 best selling movies.

In the comics, there weren’t too many changes for Batman. He looked the same, had the same vehicles, and other things. Basically, everything was the same. By 1964, Batman’s comic series was doing dreadful to a point where DC was “planning to kill Batman off all together.”

Batman’s batmobile went through changes and so did his costume. The TV series was able to boost sales of the comics, but the TV show was soon taken down, and sales plummeted once again.

What could have saved Batman’s legacy from being forgotten was a book titled The Dark Knight Returns when a 55 year old Batman comes out of retirement. Ever since that book was published, the Dark Knight gained more popularity. The struggle for this character to get a lot of fans ended when the three successful movies of the Dark Knight were produced.

Batman is a character who never gives up, and the legacy of Batman never left, no matter how close Batman was to being exterminated as a character.

How To Improve Your Time Management

June 1, 2013 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

  1. Create goals for yourself and set deadlines. Force yourself to get things done faster.
  2. Set a timer. You will appreciate the time you have and do more work within that time.
  3. Do more work. If you do more work, you will need more time to do more of that work.
  4. Avoid distractions. There are a lot of distractions such as surfing the web, watching TV, or going outside that can prevent us from getting our work accomplished. Avoiding the distractions will give you more time to do what you need to do.

Simple advice can make the biggest difference.
