Why You Need To Have A Reward System

December 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

We all get assigned or have to do a lot of work. On some days, the work is easy. On other days, the work can take hours. In order to consistently perform in a successful way, you need to stay motivated. Having a vision is important towards staying motivated. However, you also need to reward yourself every once in a while.

Some people focus on the work and forget about the reward. You need feel rewarded in order to stay motivated, and the best way to feel rewarded is by taking a break by doing soemthing you enjoy. You may enjoy running outside, watching your favorite TV show, or talking with friends on social media. Whether you enjoy any of these things or you enjoy to do other things, you need to reward yourself by taking a break.

After you give yourself the reward, you will be able to work with a clear mind. You will feel better about yourself because you rewarded yourelf. Rewarding yourself has the power to dramatically increase self-confidence.

Give yourself the break that you deserve. You will be better off with that break, and when you resume your work, you will feel empowered to achieve further greatness.

Focus On One Big Goal

December 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti 6 Comments

There are a lot of people who have many unrelated goals. The time these people spends accomplishing their goals gets scattered, and as a result, these people know a little bit about many things. In order to have a thriving business, you need to focus on one big goal.

All of your goals should impact the big goal. The big goal may be to increase blog traffic. Using social networks, writing longer blog posts, and doing some research on SEO are some of the things that you would have to do in order to increase blog traffic which is the big goal.

Few people focus on a big goal. However, those people are the ones who we know about. The farmers who plant the small pumpkins don’t get remembered as well as the farmers who plant the giant pumpkins.

You should focus on planting a giant pumpkin instead of planting many small pumpkins. It is better to be an expert in one particular area than to be an expert at everything. An expert at everything is really an expert of nothing, but an expert in a particular area is the expert that is highly sought.

What do you want to accomplish the most? That’s what you need to start first. All of your other goals should be related to what you want to accomplish.

Set The Bar (Even) Higher

December 26, 2013 by Marc Guberti 5 Comments

When most people think about giving themselves goals, they give themselves the easiest goals imaginable. The goals may be, “writing 1 blog post every week that is only 100 words,” or something similar. While it is good that progress is being made, it is easily possible to make more progress. In order to make more progress, you need to set the bar higher.

When people think of setting the bar higher, they quickly think of reasons why the bar is already set as high as possible. There is no limit to how high any bar can be set. If a bar is set at 14.6 feet, know that it can also go to 15 feet. The bar can keep on going higher and higher.

As you set the bar higher and higher for yourself, you will be giving yourself challenging goals. However, when those goals get accomplished, you will see the results. You will be able to do something far better than ever before. You will be able to break records, be very productive, and ultimately be better off.

Setting the bar high requires work on your part. After that work gets done, you will have the prize: a new record, incredible productivity, a big increase in traffic, a lot of sales for your new product, or something else.

Complaining Isn’t A Strategy

December 10, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

People complain about the situations that they are in. Small bookstores are complaining about Amazon’s supreme power. Some people complain about not getting enough sales or traffic. Some people spend a lot of time complaining about a lot of things.

Complaining isn’t a strategy because no matter how much you complain, the current situation remains the same. Complaining about blog traffic doesn’t result in 200 extra visitors the next day. Complaining about having few followers doesn’t suddenly lead to getting thousands of followers every day. When a business begins to wane, people complain, but that doesn’t stop the waning. Complaining doesn’t solve the problem.

The only way to solve the problem is to stop complaining and begin doing. People can complain about someone being better than they are. The only way to get better than that person is to put the work in and stop complaining.

Many people know this to be true in one form or another. However, some of these people still complain. The reason people continue to complain is because complaining is easier than finding the solution. Complaining requires less work. Finding the solution requires you to do the work to solve a problem.

The more challenging road is the road taken by few. The few who take this road get to become the leaders of our time.

Finding The Priorities

November 12, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Writing the list of goals is the starting point towards accomplishing what needs to get done. Without direction, not all of the priorities will get accomplished. The priorities are the goals that need to be accomplished the most. There are some goals that are more important to accomplish than others. Some goals will have a bigger impact on your business than others.

Writing down the goals is a way to address what you need to accomplish. By ranking your goals and organizing them into priorities, you are able to give yourself the course of direction that will allow you to accomplish those goals.

Your list of goals is the map. The priorities act as your compass.
