Take Advantage Of A Problem By Being The Solution

April 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

If you’re like me, you use some of Google’s services and have no idea how half of them work. Adsense and broadcasted Google Hangouts are some of the services I have trouble with (I spent $15 to create a screen recorder for Google Hangouts so I can put those videos on YouTube). Chances are you are probably just like me or were just like me at one point. There are millions of people who have no idea how to use certain Google services or how certain features work. The worst part is that Google makes changes to many of its services every year. Someone who could host a Google Hangout in 2013 would have to relearn how to host a Google Hangout this year.

Let’s continue with my story of misfortune and hope that I am two for two. If you’re like me, you have watched videos or read articles on blogs to try to solve the problem. When seeing someone using the Google service that we cannot get to function, that person suddenly looks like one of those super humans chosen by the ancients or something cool like that.

While trying to find the fix for one of my Google services, I ended up reading 10 blog posts from the same blog dealing with this issue. I did not find the solution to the giant puzzle (trying to use a Google service that is not functioning properly). However, one blogger just got an extra visitor and 10 pageviews. Some people on YouTube got some extra views as well.

As these people get more visitors, pageviews, and views, their SEO increases, and they start to see traffic on the rise. What happened? These people knew the solution to a problem that millions of people have. Not all of these millions of people will get a solution from a single video, but as these people get more views for their videos about Google services, their other videos get viewed as well. In addition, their blogs also get more visitors and pageviews.

There are plenty of problems out there. If you are a solution to one of the problems that a large group of people have, numerous people will come to you to get the answer.

Why Testimonials Are Important

March 20, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

When first looking at the sales page, no one cares about the product. They only care about what people have said about products. After potential customers see numerous good reviews, then they start to buy in on the idea (and the product).

Testimonials act as proof that your product is elite. You don’t want people to guess about how good your product is. Amazon does not let people guess. All of their products can be reviewed based on a 1 to 5 star scale. The products with more 5 star are the products that get more sales. A lot of 5 star reviews reveals that the product is a must-have.

A description will not be enough to get people to buy your product. It is helpful, but in the end, the description is written by someone who wants you to buy their product. That’s where the testimonials come in. Real customers say what they like about the product, and that encourages potential customers to buy the product.

The products with the most sales are the ones with the most testimonials. Testimonials (also known as reviews on Amazon and many other places) tell people that what you have is extraordinary.

Quality Attention VS Attention

March 19, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are two different kinds of attention. The first kind of attention is the one you get when people notice you. The second kind of attention is the one you get when people notice you and want to learn more about you. The first kind is just called attention while the second kind is called quality attention. If you are going to be noticed, you want to be noticed in a positive way.

Anyone can get attention. Getting quality attention is more challenging. In order to get quality attention, you need to be performing at a consistent basis and boosting your credibility. As you do these things, you will get more quality attention. People will read your About Me page, buy your products, subscribe to your blog, and follow you on every social network to have.

Quality attention creates quality buzz. Attention just creates buzz. If you want to be a leader in your niche, you need to have quality attention. There need to be people who buy your products and want to learn more about you. Anyone can get attention with some money and an ad space. Quality attention comes from being remarkable.

Why Interviews Are Game Changers

March 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There is a sense of stage fright that consumes many people. When it comes to talking and knowing that 100 people (or thousands) will listen to what you say, some people in that situation feel a sense of fear. However, it is important to not only conquer this fear but also to be in more interviews. Whether you are the interviewer or the interviewee, interviews are big game changers that result in more traffic and sales.

If you are interviewing a well-known person in your niche, that person will tell their followers about the interview thus giving you more traffic. If you do a good job with the interview, that interview may result in more subscribers to your channel.

If you are the person being interviewed, more people get to know about you. If you get interviewed by someone with 10,000 followers, that person is sure to tell his/her 10,000 followers about the interview. Being interviewed enough times will result in more people knowing about you. If 10 people with 10,000 followers interview you and tell their followers about you, you are reaching 100,000 extra people.

Interviews are game changers in many ways. Whether you are being interviewed to get into a good school, for a job, or to get more traffic, they are important. The benefits of being interviewed or hosting an interview can no longer be ignored. They work wonders.

The Kinds Of Products Consumers Want…The Cool Ones

March 6, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

More people want the red and blue sneakers than they want the black and white sneakers. Sure, there is quality, price, and convenience. However, there is a big need for the cool products.

The books that look cool are the ones that get more sales. The sneakers that look cool get more sales than the sneakers that do not look cool. Cool sneakers give you the ability to show them off to your friends. A cool book with a great story gives you the need to buy the cover. When I bought Free Prize Inside, I bought the one with the purple cow on it because I thought that cover looked cooler than the other one. It ends up that Seth Godin added some extra content in the one with the purple cow, but as I made the purchase, I did not know about the extra content.

People are willing to pay the extra $50 for a cooler pair of sneakers. The black and white sneakers may cost $50, but those must-have, must-get, ultra-cool red and blue sneakers that go for $100 are the ones many people end up buying (or want to buy). Buying uncool products risks getting caught. Your friend with the red and blue sneakers will come up to you and ask why you are still wearing black and white sneakers.

The best part about creating a cool product is that word of mouth will be easy to generate. People with the cool product show it off to their friends and say that they have it. They also persuade their friends to buy the product. The Fax machine is worthless if no other business friends of colleagues has one. The Fax machine was a cool product that relied on other Fax machines, and as a result, people showed them off to their friends.

It is important to maintain what you say your business is going to be about. However, it is also important to make your products look cool. Everything cool gets noticed in a positive way: the cool clothing, the cool sneakers, the cool book cover, and other cool things. The uncool things get noticed in a negative way: the uncool clothing, the uncool sneakers, the uncool book cover, and other uncool things.

Cool products are the ones that spread. Uncool products are the ones that we make fun of when we see them.

Why You Need To Have Bonuses

March 2, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Imagine your customer got everything he paid for. It is an accomplishment to give your customer everything that he paid for. However, giving your customer more than what they paid for leads to more connections and better results. Imagine getting a training course with 20 videos, and then the trainer decided to surprise you with 5 bonus videos.

We want what we pay for, but when we get something extra, we remember that extra gift. Mike Michalowicz has a great marketing strategy for his books. Instead of waiting for people to buy his books, he distributes them to right people who are likely to give him a review. For his book, The Pumpkin Plan, Mike decided to contact people who review business books on Amazon. He asked these people if they were interested in getting the book for free in return for an honest review.

Mike Michalowicz decided to ship out his books with personalized letters and a copy of another one of his books, The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur. While customers were only expecting to get a copy of The Pumpkin Plan, they ended up getting a personalized letter and a copy of The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur to go along with it.

Offering his books for free and giving his customers a bonus resulted in Mike’s books getting hundreds of reviews on Amazon, and most of them are 4 and 5 star reviews. Giving away his Pumpkin Plan book for free was a starting point, but the added bonuses resulted in customers who read and reviewed his book right away.

The “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” sales always attract more customers. That’s because the 1 free thing is a bonus. People flock over to stores with big deals in order to get the bonus. By having bonuses for your business, whether the bonus is an extra hour of services for free, 5 extra videos, or a free report, you will have more customers eager to buy your future products.
