Monday

September 27, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

If you can’t stand them, you need a new job. Better yet, you can start your own business. You shouldn’t dread Mondays ever because when we think about it, Mondays account for 1/7th of our lives. If we are spending over 10% of our lives dreading Monday, and then we spend over 10% of our lives waiting for Monday to pass, we aren’t going to live the happy lives we were all meant to live.

Break yourself from the curse, or if you like your Mondays, continue to do what you do (unless Mondays are your off days and Tuesdays are the days you dread).

I Recently Had The Honor Of Meeting

September 18, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Seth Godin, Ramon Ray, and Carly Strife at the Small Biz Big Things expo in New York City.

Many people are using the “I had the honor of meeting,” and then the list of names with pictures goes on and on. I’m going to be doing that as well, but there is a more important goal to reach.

It’s nice to have the honor of meeting a lot of renowned people. However, you should also make sure people are honored to actually meet you. The only way to do that is to love what you do and effectively do what you love.

You can still have the honor of meeting so and so. After you meet a lot of honorable people, it’s time for you to make a lot of people want to meet you and consider that meeting an honor.

I Don’t Think I Can

September 15, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I know I can.

Thinking doesn’t get you closer to actually doing what you were thinking about. You can think about how everything is going to work when your finished. However, going from start to finish involves actually doing work to get you there.

It’s time to stop thinking and start knowing that you can do this!

End Of The Year Goals

September 14, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

When it comes to making yearly goals, everyone is so focused on the New Year’s resolutions. I encourage you today to make a list of your end of the year goals for right now. Here’s my list of goals for my business:

  1. Have 12,000 Twitter followers
  2. Have 5,000 Pinterest followers
  3. Have 12,000 views on YouTube
  4. Have an eBay business that makes $100 or more a month
  5. Increase blog traffic by 300%
  6. Write another book

I will add on to this list when I think of another goal to accomplish.

What are your end of the year goals?

My Favorite Word

September 12, 2013 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Is “yet.”

I used to say, “I don’t have a blog, yet.”

The word yet makes it sound as if it is actually going to happen.

I can’t use that sentence. I have a blog.

I use that word for anything that I am not that I would like to become.

Most of the time, when I use that word, I end up becoming what I wanted to become.

I’m not a bestselling author, yet. I’m not making money on eBay, yet. I don’t have hundreds of thousands of followers, yet.

Proclaim what you want to be. Add the word “yet” at the end of your sentence. Watch yourself end up becoming what you wanted to become.

I Want To Be

September 6, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

End the sentence anyway you want.

Ask yourself why.

Are you taking action to turn that sentence into a lifestyle?

Are you taking enough action?

Take more action.

Take more than enough action.

The best time to start was a few years ago.

The second best time is now.

The only way to become who you want to be is by taking action now.

There’s no way around it.

Finding a way to avoid taking action will only make things worse.

So what do you want to be?
