How To Become Successful

February 20, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

We all want to be successful. We all want to be at the front of the stampede. In How To Be Successful On Twitter, I talked about being successful on Twitter. In this blog post, I am going to give you the blueprint that will allow you to become successful–in general. Here’s everything you need to know.

  1. The Power Of One. The more we stretch ourselves, the less we are able to accomplish. Instead of being in multiple niches, focus on one of those niches. Running 1 successful business is much easier and better off than running 10 mediocre businesses.
  2. Build powerful connections. Social networks are great ways to build connections with your customers. You want to know who your customers are because that will make the customer feel special. The customer did you a favor in buying your product. Of course, your product does them a favor as well, but buying your product shows that the customer has faith in you. Thank the customers for buying your products and engage with them on social networks. Building powerful connections with others can lead to future customers down the road.
  3. Have the determination and dedication. You won’t be able to go far without having both. The determination will keep you on the right path while being dedicated will allow you to love what you do. If you do not have determination and dedication, the best way to get them is to change your mindset. As Joel Osteen says, instead of having the victim mindset, have the victor mindset.

I’d love to go on, but those are the main three. I may add on to this list in the future (and maybe turn that into a book after I publish Lead The Stampede). This is a basic list, but success is a big thing to achieve. At the start of a journey, it is better to learn the basics than it is to be overwhelmed by too much information. If you would like to add to this shortened list, please share your suggestions below.

Their Beginnings And Where They All Are Today

February 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

new beginning

An online bookstore with 1 employee.

An online year book for college students.

The first one of these was sold for a penny.

A research project done by two PhD students.

This got created and maintained in an apartment for a fair amount of time. The founders encouraged a New York based magazine company to buy their creation. The publisher wouldn’t even meet with the founders.

This idea just happened to come up when another business was falling apart.

This business started in a garage.

Version 0.7 used to be the big thing.

Those were their beginnings. Clicking on the links will allow you to find out where they ended up. What’s your beginning?

You Have Two Choices (Think Or Do)

February 7, 2014 by Marc Guberti 5 Comments

The people we don’t know about choose to think about what they are going to do without doing anything.

The people who are remarkable and successful go for the other option which is to do what they think about.

You can’t do something without thinking about it. However, some people think to the point when nothing gets done.

People commonly think of ways to be perfect instead of realizing that true perfection does not exist. This leads to more thinking and less doing.

As Walt Disney said, “The only way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”

My first YouTube videos were my computer on an ironing board. Then I got a table to put my computer on. Spoiler alert: starting in April, I will have a white board in my videos and will be standing. The lighting and sound qualities are both better.

Thinking does not equate to doing. Thinking is like the big snowball on the top of the hill. The only way to see progress (to do) is by pushing that snowball down the hill.

Make a choice today to do the things that will help you accomplish your dream because thinking about them is not enough.

What Would You Do If You Could Never Fail?

January 5, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Many people limit themselves because of the fear of failure. These people do not want to make mistakes of any kind, and when it comes to trying something new, mistakes are going to be made. All of the successful people fail, but it is through persistence that the successful are where they are today. They did not choose to limit their potential.

We all have big dreams that seem impossible, but we all have potential that is greater than we realize. In order to see the potential come into effect, you need to pursue your dreams. This is the stage where people lower their standards and goals so accomplishing the dream becomes easier.

Let’s say you have a 100% success rate and will never fail at anything you pursue for the rest of your life. What would you do? Do you want to be a billionaire? Do you want to be a professional athlete? Do you want to be the next Tony Robbins of motivational speaking? Write down what you would want to do if you had a 100% success rate.

No one has the 100% success rate. However, if you come up with a plan to accomplish your dream, you will be able to get it accomplished. You don’t need the 100% success rate to make your dreams come true. You just need the dream, motivation, and perseverance in order to succeed.

Do You Believe In Your Idea?

November 17, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The idea you come up with can be the next big thing. However, if you don’t believe in your idea, your idea isn’t going to go far. You need to believe in what you do in order to become successful in that niche.

If you believe in your idea, all you need to do is implement it. Implementing is the hard part, but if you believe your idea, you already have a head start. You already have the motivation to accomplish your idea and propel it to the next level. The ability to propel your idea to the next level is what will allow you to turn your idea into something big.

There is a recipe for a successful idea. The first thing you have to do is think of a good idea. The second thing you have to do is implement the idea. The third thing you have to do is believe in your idea.

If you don’t believe in your idea, everything is going to fall apart. Choose a new idea that you believe in. If you believe in your idea and implement it, there will be some bumps in the road, but the journey for the most part is going to be a smooth one.

The 500th Post And The Will To Continue

November 10, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

When I wrote the first post for this blog, it wasn’t getting any traffic. 500 posts later, my blog is getting hundreds of visitors every day. Most bloggers give up before they get the hundreds of visitors every day that they were destined to get.

This blog post was not written for me to boast about an achievement. Instead, this blog post provides a testimonial. If you are a blogger who isn’t getting any traffic yet, or if you don’t have a lot of followers on social media, those visitors and followers are going to come. There will be days when you consider doing something else.

If you continue to blog and use social media while finding new ways to reach more people, you will achieve incredible results. You will go from no visitors to hundreds of visitors. You will go from 100 followers to 1,000 followers. You will go from 1,000 followers to 10,000 followers.

Entrepreneurs will all encounter a point in which they will consider giving up. If you don’t give up on your entrepreneurial dream, your ideas are going to soar.
