Why The First Time Is Really The Hardest

June 26, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Big Challenge

A lot of people say that the first time is the hardest. It is used in speeches, books, and other places as well. While many people say that the first time is the hardest, few people go into why the first time is really the hardest. In this article, I am going to go into the why part about the first time being the hardest.

In 3 years, 2 months, and 1 day after Twitter was created the social media world went crazy. Twitter’s 1 billionth tweet was sent out. Out of all of the times Twitter sent out 1 billion tweets, the first billion tweets took the most time. Now, Twitter users send out a combined total of 1 billion tweets every 5 days. That’s a lot quicker than 3 years, 2 months, and 1 day.

Neil Patel wrote a brilliant blog post about getting 100,000 monthly visitors for a blog. In that blog post, he also mentioned how long it took for each of his blogs to get over 100,000 monthly visitors. QuickSprout took 4 years and 9 months, KISSmetrics took 1 year and 10 months, and Crazy Egg took 1 year and 6 months to reach 100,000 monthly visitors. The first blog took the longest amount of time to reach 100,000 monthly visitors because the first time is always the hardest. It becomes obvious that as Neil Patel creates more blogs, he is able to reach the same milestone faster.

The first time is the hardest because we do not know everything about the process. It is hard to get the first 1,000 followers because it takes a long time to learn about different methods to reach the goal. What used to take me a few months to do now gets done in 2-3 days. By staying dedicated and going through the journey, you will learn more about your niche. You will learn how to do certain tasks with fewer steps that allow you to save more time. Doing anything for the first time is the hardest. It takes a lot of practice and time to do something the first time. Then, it gradually becomes easier over time as you get more comfortable doing something that at one point seemed very difficult.

What are your thoughts about the first time really being the hardest? Do you have any stories of your own about the first time being the hardest? Please share your thoughts below.

Inspyr Socks Motivates Others In A Different Way

June 25, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Inspyr Socks

People are constantly searching for ways to get motivated to get tasks done and live a better life. There are methods out there such as reading motivational quotes, doing the work, and being happy for the results. However, wearing the right clothing can also allow you to live a more motivated life. Life Is Good did the job with their shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise with the simple message, life is good.

Now there is a new start-up that is gaining momentum that makes and sells motivational socks. Inspyr Socks is a Pennsylvania based start-up that intends to motivate others with inspirational sayings on each of their socks and show individuals that success and living a wonderful life are both in their reach.

Imagine looking down at your socks and seeing motivational messages such as, “Think it, Be it” “Believe, Achieve,” Will Power,” “Work Hard,” and “Step Up.” Wearing clothing with a powerful message is by far one of the most underrated ways to get and stay motivated.

One of the additional perks to wearing Inspyr Socks is that you get to share motivational messages with others. Not only do you get to feel empowered, but people who see your Inspyr Socks will also receive the motivational message. You get to help others get motivated.

I support Inspyr Sock’s message and think it is a powerful message that is going to be heard by the masses. Inspyr Socks is “inspyring” the world one pair of socks at a time.

7 Ways To Boost Your Self-Confidence

June 24, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

self confidence

Looking back at the journey I have taken, I decided to look back and identify what allowed me to do what I do as a teenager. While I have mentioned multiple times about having good parents, a desire to become successful, and other things as well, there is something else that affects success: the individual. In order to boost your chances of becoming successful, you also need to boost your self-confidence. While some people believe genetics have an impact on self-confidence, I have a firm belief that anything can be acquired over time with hard work and dedication. It is possible to become an Olympian after a lot of hard work and dedication. It it possible to make $1 million every year after a lot of hard work and dedication. It is also possible with a lot of hard work and dedication to boost your self-confidence. Here are 7 ways to bring up your self-confidence so you can live a happier and more successful life.

  1. Give yourself goals. Giving yourself goals gives you a reason to do the work required to become successful. It is important to write all of these goals on a piece of paper so you can remind yourself of those goals every day. Then, put a giant checkmark in front of the goals that you accomplish. It is important to only give yourself weekly goals so you are able to see good results. If you only give yourself monthly–or worse–annual goals, it will take a long time to get those goals accomplished and your morale will go down. Giving yourself weekly goals that require some discomfort but are manageable will bring forth the best results.
  2. Dream big. Before they become successful, the successful people were big dreamers. They envisioned what their future lives would look like and how they would become successful. Dreaming big and knowing that those dreams will come true will give you more self-confidence because you know that great things are heading your way.
  3. Learn more about your niche. This will allow you to become a better expert and know a lot about your niche. Knowing a lot about your niche will make you feel more confident when people ask you questions about your niche.
  4. Listen to motivational videos and read motivational quotes. They do work. Some of these motivational videos and quotes have the power to change your entire outlook on life and success. Knowing that success is on the other side of fear motivated me to conquer the fears that held me back.
  5. Watch less TV. Watching TV is an easy way to lose self-confidence because it hinders productivity and growth to the point where time management and achieving your dreams looks impossible. In addition, some of the TV shows create the “I wish” mindset. I have watched all three Iron Man movies, and it is easy to imagine that there are people who constantly wish they were as rich as Tony Stark. No one should watch more than five hours of TV within a given week. It is simply too dangerous for your self-confidence.
  6. Play more video games. As if teenagers needed another excuse. Playing the ones that you win a lot in are the ones that boost self-confidence. Although you will not be able to win every challenge (in the video game and in life), you will always have the desire to win. If you choose to play video games, be sure to limit your activity to a maximum of 1 hour every day.
  7. Focus on one task at a time. Focusing on one task at a time will allow you to get all of your tasks done faster which in return boosts your self-confidence. There are few things more frustrating as an entrepreneur to go back and forth between ideas and constantly shifting your focus on other projects before you get to finish old ones. Save yourself this frustration and give yourself something good to look at by focusing on one task at a time.

Boosting your self-confidence will without question allow you to live a better life. Having self-confidence will give you the faith you need in yourself to creates better products and grow your business in a way that you previously thought was never possible. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

You Have More Choices Than You Realize

June 20, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are many people who feel as if there are no alternatives and that they are restricted. These people feel as if they are forced to do something and have no choice in the manner. However, we all have more choices than we realize.

It’s your choice to be happy or not. Don’t blame the people across the street or what has happened in the past. That’s all a memory now, and if it continues to infiltrate your mind, happiness will still come unnatural.

Your job is your choice. It is possible to go from a survival job to creating a million dollar business. Mark Cuban had more survival jobs than most people, and yet he’s a billionaire. He chose to become a billionaire even though the jobs he had (carpenter and waiter among others) did not support what he chose.

How you spend your time is your choice. You can either watch TV for 32 hours every week like the average American, or you can use those 32 hours to get more work in. TV is one of the most overrated things around.

What you write about is your choice. Then again, your decision on whether you want to write or not is also a choice.

There is no one way to do something. We have options. There are several choices we have with the ways we can spend our time just like how there are several choices we have for our careers. The next time you think you are running out of choices, realize that you have more choices than you think. By realizing you have more choices, your ideas will become more creative and ultimately serve people in a more effective manner.

The Map To Success

June 19, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Map Of The World

There is no map. You won’t know where you are going until you get there. Everyone likes to think they know exactly what is going to happen and how they are going to be successful. That’s not the case.

All you have is tools and knowledge, and most of what you will gain on your journey will be more tools and knowledge.

You only get the map to success after you become successful. That’s why experts are still able to talk about how they know about becoming successful.

Does that mean the entire situation is hopeless? Not at all. We all have unique maps, and it’s the desire to see what these maps look like that makes us want to become successful. Maybe you thought that consultation sessions would make you successful, and you end up becoming successful because you are able to write 1 book every month. Maybe you end up becoming successful because you land a high paying job and use some of your earnings to invest into something that turns into a multimillion dollar business.

We can go by what we think is our map. As we go by the steps that we believe will make us successful, there will be speed bumps and road blocks. However, too many people think that there will only be speed bumps and road blocks.

Although they do exist, there are also short cuts. Going from gaining 10 followers every day to gaining 50 followers every day is a short cut. You get to gain 5,000 followers in the same amount of time you gained 1,000 followers. Offering a free prize is also a short cut to getting more sales and subscribers. Being lucky enough to read certain blog post revolving around your niche on this blog and others as well with very valuable information also serves as a short cut. Speed bumps and road blocks slow down success, but short cuts allow you to skip past some of your speed bumps and road blocks. Is time your speed block. There are several ways to manage your time more effectively. In fact, waking up an hour earlier may be all you need to do to solve the problem.

The only part of the map that you get to see from the start is your level of happiness. Your happiness ultimately decides whether or not you are going to get your copy of the map. If you are happy with what you do, then you will have more motivation to do extraordinary work even when the situation looks bleak.

Your unique map to success in unattainable because it contains your future–something that you do not know anything about until it becomes your reality. You never know how close you are to accomplishing your dreams, but if you continue doing what you do, you will definitely get there. You don’t get given a map to success. You create your own map to success and learn along the way.

What are your thoughts about the map to success? Do you have any additional advice for having a good attitude as you discover your map to success? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

The Power Of Setting A Date For Your Goals

June 18, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Deadline Approaching

The biggest lies are soon and later. I’ll start this soon. I’ll work on that later. Those are stallers that make an attempt to hide the fact that you don’t want to do anything that you say you will do soon or later.

Setting a date eliminates the problem of soon and later. Soon and later do not define a date. As far as we know, soon and later can range from a few days to a few years. Setting a date will be the only way you will get your goals accomplished.

Setting a date forces you to give yourself a deadline. When I decided to self-publish 1 book every month, I was able to do just that. Then, I started writing a book that I gave myself no due date for. That’s when my self-publishing career hit a bad note, but ever since I reapplied the 1 month rule, I have been able to write, and self-publish 1 book every month. Instead of saying soon or later, I made sure that soon and later meant by the end of the month.

If you continue to say soon and later, then don’t bother. Setting a date is the only way to tell yourself that you are serious about a particular goal and want to accomplish it.
