Low Prices Do Not Mean Better Products

November 6, 2013 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

There are more entrepreneurs selling their products for lower prices in order to get a higher volume of sales. I am one of these entrepreneurs, and none of my books are over $2.99. Lowering prices will result in a higher volume of sales. You’ll get noticed more because people won’t have to spend as much money to get access to your product.

However, cheap doesn’t mean better. If the product shouldn’t be sold in the first place, it will get refunded even if it’s only $0.99. Not all products can be refunded, and the consumers aren’t going to be happy if they can’t refund a product they don’t want anymore. When these people use word of mouth to talk about you, they won’t be talking about you with praise.

The question of underpricing is a question rooted in the minds of all entrepreneurs. The question comes up every once in a while. The thought of getting more sales entices entrepreneurs to lower their prices. Having 10 people buy a $2 product is better than having 1 person buy a $15 product. This is why entrepreneurs lower their prices.

I am a big believer in low prices to get a high volume of sales. However, if you do go for inexpensive products, are you selling products that are worth their price tag, or are you selling them something that could have been worth more? Is your product worth more than you’re selling it for, or are you selling inexpensive but sub par products?

There are inexpensive options that could have been given more expensive price tags. However, those entrepreneurs choose not to raise the price of their products. Quality products for a low price are going to sell more than low quality products with low prices.

Did You Notice This New, Colossal Twitter Update?

November 6, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Twitter came out with a new update last week, and it’s not big. It’s colossal. You may have seen it on your timeline. You may have used it yourself. Whether you’ve heard of it or not, it’s colossal.

The days of clicking pic.twitter.com to see pictures are over. Any picture posted on Twitter becomes part of the tweet. This will allow more people to see your pictures faster. Some people don’t have the patience to constantly click the pic.twitter.com link. However, this new update allows the patient and the impatient to see your pictures.

This update provides convenience because it removes a step for your followers. That means more retweets, more favorited tweets, and more followers.

This update is also colossal for the people who pay for promoted tweets. Tweets with pictures now take up more space on the timeline. A picture will allow an advertiser to get more space on someone’s timeline. This will result in more people looking at the tweet and a better ROI for the advertiser.

Pictures are now a lot easier to view. The next update may make it easier to view videos. Whether Twitter has more updates like this or not, Twitter is taking steps towards convenience which are going to help all of us big time.

Implement Your Plans

November 5, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Everyone says that planning is good for your business, but these people don’t look at all of the consequences. In this do or die game, people focus on the ability to give themselves the compass to their future.

This game is similar to a two-floor building without any stairs. You can’t get to the second floor without the stairs. Giving yourself a good plan will allow you to create the stairs. The stronger your plan, the more stairs you get. Soon, you get enough stairs to go from the first floor to the second floor. When people look at the consequences of planning, they only look at the good ones.

There is some danger to planning. You can create the perfect compass that goes from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean by using all of the fastest routes (that kind of compass probably has some GPS features installed as well). Even if you come up with the perfect compass, you still need to sail from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean in order for it to come in handy. If the function of the compass isn’t used, all of the planning, time, and effort would have gone to waste.

Planning is essential towards the success for any business, but you must be implementing your plans in order to get the results you are looking for.

There Are Two Ways To Look At Dominos

November 5, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The first way we look at dominos is common. Dominos end up falling. Whether you push the domino down or a domino pushes another domino, they end up falling. It’s one way to look at dominos, but there is another way to view dominos.

Dominos can be working together to bring forth a greater strength that allows them to push a stronger object. You won’t be able to move a tennis ball with a single domino. However, if hundreds of dominos push on each other, the last domino will be able to push the tennis ball with a greater amount of force. Strength in numbers will allow the tennis ball to move farther.

It’s more important to view the dominos as a team than as individuals in order to appreciate what they can do.

Finding The Needle In The Hay Stack

November 4, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

This phrase is used to emphasize how difficult it is to find something. However, searching for the needle is well worth the wait. It may take months or even years before you find the needle in the hay stack. There are going to be some times when you won’t want to search for the needle in the hay stack anymore. However, finding the needle is what makes the adventure great.

It’s easy to find ideas. Most ideas are like the hay: common, boring, and used up. When you find the needle in the hay, you are going to come up with extraordinary ideas. Sometimes, when you find a needle in the hay stack, you’ll encounter another needle as well. The unique ideas start to build up, and as you implement them, you’ll be able to reap the benefits.

We know that the needle is in the hay stack. However, we have to find it in order to see what it looks like and the results it can bring forth.
