A Blank Piece Of Paper

May 13, 2013 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

Anything can be put on that blank piece of paper. A lot of young children draw on that blank piece of paper as I was yesterday while writing a homemade Mother’s Day card. You decide what goes on that blank piece of paper. You control what content goes on that paper or what illustration is drawn on that piece of paper.

Every business ever created whether it was successful or collapsed in weeks started out as blank pieces of paper. Your business started as a blank piece of paper. You decide what your business becomes, and you decide how you can change it. What goes on the blank piece of paper is not final. You can continue making changes to it as many times as you like.

Thinking About Something And Doing Something Are Two Different Things

May 12, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Everyone can think about the next big idea. I can think of myself being the next multi millionaire, and so can you. I have a lot of ideas for my business that I write down in a notebook that I think will become very successful. My goal is to publish 1 eBook every month, and I already have about 10 ideas.

However, thinking and doing are two very different things. You can think about anything you want. You can think about yourself achieving your goal, but you will continue to think about it until you actually accomplish that goal. Thinking will get us far with our work, but it won’t get us as far as doing our work will. Don’t think too hard because you’ll have less time to do what you want to do.

The Race Is On

May 10, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Speed is your friend in the business world. Being able to constantly make innovations your business will attract more potential customers which turn into buyers if you provide good content or a good product. Having the best content is important, but being able to have something NEW is just as important if not more important. If you create content that you sell, people are going to buy it if it is good. If you want to sell a book, you’ll get a lot of sales if the content is good and the reviews are just as good. However, no one is going to buy the same book for themselves twice.

The only way to counter this problem is to publish more books, but here’s another problem. Your book isn’t the only one people buy. There are many other books that other people buy. Eventually, the bookshelf gets stacked with books, and your book is hard to find amongst the other books. If you publish your next book a year later, people who bought your first book will forget about your second book or buy books from another author. Even if your readers buy your book on the Kindle where it won’t be as easy for them to lose sight of your book, other authors will prevail if you don’t continue publishing new content.

How can you fight this problem? The simple answer is to publish more books within a certain amount of time that is quick and possible. This idea does not only apply to books though.

Finishing Strong

May 3, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

One thing you have to do for your business is to finish strong. Having a strong start leads you ahead of the competition, but if you have a bad finish, you’ll be with everyone else who didn’t succeed. Every business has the opportunity to get a strong start, but then those businesses become lazy. It is this very laziness and lack of responding to problems that ultimately leads to these business’ collapses. These collapses ususally occur as the weather gets nicer, and as much fun as it is to play outside and do other things, we cannot take our eyes off of our work for our businesses.

What You Say About Yourself Impacts Your Performance

May 2, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

If you proclaim what you can do, you will do it, even if you put a negative twist on what you are going to do. I said I would be a successful teenager entrepreneur. I make hundreds of dollars a month and am now publishing eBooks on Kindle. I said it would be hard for me to reach under 5 minutes in the mile at the beginning of the season, and it has been hard ever since (I now think it will be easier for me to achieve this goal). I have rejected some of my ideas and never continued them while I have finished some of the ideas that I was previously working on.

What you say about yourself can be either very motivating or can sink your dreams.
