We all make them, and they are nothing to be ashamed of. Life goes on, and we must continue forward to prevent ourselves from making more mistakes. Learning from your mistakes is important, but learning from other’s mistakes is just as important. The person you look up to has probably made multiple mistakes. By avoiding these same mistakes, you are becoming a better person with less mistakes. Mistakes are only meant to teach lessons and happen once.

Is boring! No one wants to follow someone who only promotes themselves. If I only promoted my Squidoo lenses, Twitter accounts, eBooks, and everything else on this blog, there wouldn’t be nearly as many people visiting the blog. That’s why I talk about other topics as well. I provide statistics about Twitter on my Twitter account, not just a bunch of links to my Squidoo lenses.

If you only want to talk about yourself, then the only person you’ll be able to talk with is yourself.

Whenever you believe it or not, there are people who need your help. You are an expert at something that someone else wants to become an expert at as well. What you are an expert in doesn’t matter. People want your expertise. One of the many examples I could give is a person who has made millions of dollars with her eBooks about quilting.

We all have them, but it is how we use them that allow us to have an impact on the world.

Don’t make yourself sound like the master of the universe being able to do anything you please. Don’t make the people around you think that they are inferior because they will lose interest in you. You might also make that person feel bad because they can’t do something that you can do. Bragging about something you can do makes the situation even worse.

“Can you do THIS” should become “Here’s how you can do THIS too.”

Being able to see something and replicate it yourself is a hard or easy skill to acquire depending on what you are trying to replicate. I like to challenge myself, so I find a Lego and try to make an exact replica on Lego Digital Designer which is a Lego software with virtual bricks. However, we must not replicate any written word or content that belongs to someone else because that would be plagiarism.

Replication can be good or bad depending on how you use it.
