5 Powerful Ways To Get More Likes On Facebook

July 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Facebook Like

Although Facebook is currently the juggernaut of social media, many people find it difficult to get likes for their posts. Getting likes boosts exposure on Facebook and allows you to build a stronger presence on the web. There are some people who have optimized their Facebook presences and get millions of likes while others struggle to get 10 likes for their posts. Not all of the people and Facebook Pages that are getting millions of likes are the big guys with a lot of advertising. There are some people who now have over 1 million Facebook likes whose names wouldn’t have sounded familiar 10 years ago. In fact, some of those names may not sound familiar now. More individuals than ever are using their newly found leverage to create social media empires. One part to creating your social media empire is getting more likes on Facebook, and here are five powerful ways to do that.

  1. Tell your friends about your Facebook Page. It won’t be enough to create an empire, but every empire needs to start from somewhere. At one point, any Facebook Page you see (even the pages with millions of likes) were also struggling to get more likes on Facebook. Those pages, just like any other, started off with zero likes. Depending on how many friends you have, you may be able to get 10-100 likes for your Facebook Page. Getting these likes will show your future visitors that your Facebook Page is somewhat popular–popular enough to get another like. As you get more likes, people will realize your Facebook Page is very popular. People tend to like popular posts and pages on Facebook.
  2. Get on YouTube. You can use YouTube to promote your Facebook Page. Including a link to your Facebook Page in your YouTube video will get more traffic for that Facebook Page. If people who viewed your YouTube video enjoyed it, then these people will be very likely to click the Like button on your Facebook Page. In addition, if you are able to connect all of your social networks together, you will be able to go viral with circular viralocity.
  3. Post on Facebook every day. Fewer people tend to like an inactive Facebook Page. It is important to remember that you need to give people a reason every day to be happy about their decision (liking your page). It sounds so simple, but in a complex world, the simplest things tend to be forgotten. Posting something of value on your Facebook Page every day will make people feel good about liking your page, but in addition, the people who liked your Facebook Page will also like and share your posts. As those posts spread on Facebook, more people will like your Facebook Page.
  4. Include pictures in your Facebook posts. Facebook posts with pictures get twice as many comments as well as more likes/shares than Facebook posts without pictures. Including pictures makes the entire method of spreading on Facebook mentioned in Tip #3 much easier to pull off.
  5. Promote your Facebook Page on your blog. Promoting your Facebook Page on your blog is an easy way to get your visitors to see your presence on social media. If the visitors like your blog, then they’ll come by and like your Facebook Page. All you need to do is show your loyal visitors where to go, and they will go there.

Getting more likes on Facebook allows you to spread and boosts your chance of going viral. Going on viral on Facebook gives you the potential to go viral on all of your other social networks as well–if they are connected properly. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips on getting more likes on Facebook? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

10 Ways To Get More People To Share Your Facebook Posts

July 6, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Going Viral On Facebook

Facebook is the largest social network and the second most popular website on the web. If you can optimize your Facebook posts so more people share them, you can potentially reach hundreds of thousands of people. The great news is that in terms of getting people to share your Facebook posts, you have the advantage. Facebook is a social network that encourages oversharing. Clicking like or share is all someone needs to do to get 20% of their friends on Facebook to see your post. Since more people will be encouraged to share your post, this will create a strong ripple effect. In order to get the ripple started and get people to share your Facebook posts, follow these 10 tips.

  1. Grow your Facebook Page. The more people you have on your Facebook Page, the more people will be able to like your posts and share them on Facebook.
  2. Post on your Facebook Page every day. People like consistency. If you post on your Facebook Page every day, people will know to look on your Facebook Page for new posts that they can like and share with their friends.
  3. Include pictures in your Facebook posts. Facebook posts with pictures get more engagement than the Facebook posts without pictures. Find a way to incorporate a picture into all of your Facebook posts.
  4. Tweet your Facebook posts. If you have a targeted following on Twitter, those people would be very happy to share your Facebook posts. You can engage with an audience you have already build to grow your audience on Facebook.
  5. Promote your Facebook posts on your blog. A blog is a great place to promote any of your social media posts. Embed your Facebook posts on your blog so people can like, comment, and share your Facebook posts on your blog.
  6. Get more Facebook likes. If you have a Facebook post with a powerful message, then sure, people will share it. However, people tend to share what is popular. Having thousands of likes for your Facebook Page will tell people that your Facebook Page is popular. The more popular a Facebook Page is, the more comfortable someone on Facebook will feel to like and share your posts.
  7. Promote your Facebook post using Facebook Advertising. It may be better to promote your Facebook Page instead of a post, but regardless, more people will be able to see your post which means more people will share that post.
  8. Post something that people would want to share. Whether your post is comical or motivational, you need to post something with a central message that your target audience would like and want to share.
  9. Offer a giveaway. Anyone who shares any of your Facebook posts for an entire week can be eligible to win a free prize. This giveaway will encourage more people to share your Facebook posts, and the word will spread. Soon enough, you will have hundreds of people sharing your Facebook posts just to be eligible for the free prize.
  10. Get more friends. Whether you have a Facebook Page, a personal account, or both, getting more friends on Facebook is a pivotal way to get more people to share your content. In most cases (for the people who don’t have famous businesses or aren’t famous…yet), the success of a Facebook Page starts with a group of friends. Those friends like and share your posts, and that shows interaction is going on. Then, more people see your Facebook Page and decide to share your posts. Soon enough, your posts are averaging hundreds of likes and shares every day. It all starts with a group of friends.

Getting more people to share your Facebook posts will allow your content to spread. Think of what would happen if people shared your blog posts hundreds of times on Facebook. That would equate to thousands of visitors that you would have never had. Although there are people leaving Facebook, it is still currently the largest social network out there. Getting hundreds and eventually thousands of people to share your Facebook posts would allow you to build a powerful presence on the web.

What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips to get more visibility and shares for a Facebook post? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

5 Ways To Use Your Social Networks To Promote Your YouTube Videos

June 29, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

youtube trafficYouTube is a free and easy way to upload videos on the web that anyone can see. Getting a lot of people to view those videos is the hard part. Even though YouTube gets billions of unique visitors every month, some videos on YouTube have no views while others have less than 10 views. For a long time, I noticed a common trend with my YouTube videos: I was not getting a lot of views. I was able to get 20-35 views every day, but I knew that was not enough. When I looked at these statistics, I became committed from that point on to getting over 3,000 views on YouTube every month. It’s a starting point which will allow me to expand on YouTube.

In order to get these extra views, I went to the same source that made this blog popular: my social networks. Using my social networks to promote my YouTube videos had a big impact on the views, likes, and subscribers my channel received. Having 100,000 readers did help, but the main concept of using social networks is to reach out to the audience that you already have. These are the five ways that you can promote your YouTube videos on your social networks.

  1. Tweet about your YouTube videos at least four times every day. There’s nothing bad with tweeting a lot of content every day. On a typical day, I send out 90 tweets. No one seems to be bothered by it, and ever since I sent out that many tweets every day, I have been getting more engagement for those tweets and followers. As you upload more YouTube videos, you should also consider tweeting about five of your YouTube videos every day. The more the better, but it needs to be consistent.
  2. Pin your YouTube videos on Pinterest. On Pinterest, you have the option of pinning your YouTube videos on specific boards based on specific aspects of your niche. This allows you to specialize your YouTube videos and allow the ideal people in your targeted audience to see those videos. If you include an annotation in your video that allows people to subscribe to your channel by clicking the annotation, you will be able to get more YouTube subscribers right from Pinterest.
  3. Use a Facebook Page to promote your YouTube videos. Facebook is a social network that encourages oversharing. If you have a good YouTube video, people will be very likely to share that video. All it takes is the click of a button, and someone has shared your video with 20% of their friends. Then, as more people continue to share your video, it will go viral on Facebook and ultimately lead to thousands of views in a matter of hours.
  4. Use GooglePlus To Promote Your YouTube Videos. GooglePlus and YouTube are both Google products that have a big impact on where you appear on Google’s search engine. Using GooglePlus to promote your YouTube videos will give your videos an edge on Google’s search engine.
  5. Let’s not forget about YouTube as a social network! Many people forget that YouTube is a social network as well. People can comment on your videos, and you can respond to those comments just like any social network. At the end of all of your YouTube videos, you can promote six of your related YouTube videos. This will allow you to grab your viewer’s attention for a longer period of time.

Those are the five ways you can use social networks to promote your YouTube videos. Just by promoting my YouTube videos on my social networks to a small extent, I was able to get 50% more views for my videos. While I will easily be able to get 1,000 views this month, I envision myself following the same tactics and eventually getting 3,000 monthly views before the end of the year. In addition to promoting your YouTube videos with your social networks, it is also important to connect all of those social networks together in one of the greatest strategies of marketing known as Circular Viralocity. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you use other methods to promote your YouTube videos on your social networks? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

3 Ways To Promote Your Blog On Facebook

June 21, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

facebook traffic

Facebook is the biggest social network around with billions of users, and people in the United States spend a combined total of 114 billion minutes every month on Facebook. Despite the size and popularity of this social network, many people do not know how to promote their blogs on Facebook. Promoting your blog on Facebook will allow you to get more traffic and stronger connections. Promoting your blog on Facebook is important, and these are three ways that you can get started.

  1. Share it on your personal account’s newsfeed. The easiest way to get more traffic on Facebook is telling your friends about your blog. Implementing this strategy generally results in a steady flow of traffic that increases over time as more search engines pay attention.
  2. Create a Facebook Page. Creating a Facebook Page and building a presence for that page will take longer than your personal account. However, you will be able to build more connections and get more visitors with a successful Facebook Page than you would be able to get with a personal account. It’s always good to have both.
  3. Post at the right time. As you get more people to visit your Facebook Page, you will get access to better analytics. Facebook provides all of its analytics for free, but when your page has over 100 likes, then it is easier to see when a majority of your fans are on Facebook. Post your content when most people are going to see it.

By getting more people to see your content on Facebook, you will be able to build a strong presence on a social network that grabs people’s attention throughout the day and has a format that encourages people to overshare content. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips for promoting a blog on Facebook? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

10 Ways To Improve Your Facebook Page

June 19, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Facebook Logo

The two components that decide how many likes and engagement your Facebook Page gets is the way it looks and the content you post on that Facebook Page. However, many people are not optimizing these two components well enough in order to see better results. The better you implement these two components, the more likely you are to be successful on Facebook. In order to make your Facebook Page better, follow these 10 tips.

  1. Facebook prefers that you use 180×180 pictures but then converts your picture to 160×160. That means the avatar picture you choose for Facebook needs to look good even if it is 160×160. Make sure your entire company’s logo or the picture of you shows up on the entire avatar. If part of your company’s logo or your headshot gets cut out of the picture, then you need to fix that. There’s nothing worse than having a sloppy appearance prevent you from getting more engagement on Facebook.
  2. Make sure your background picture further emphasizes what your Facebook Page is about. A picture of your company’s logo or a headshot does not necessarily tell people what your Facebook Page is about. If you put a headshot of yourself on your Facebook Page, then your background picture needs to show people what your posts are all about. If you only write Facebook posts about Facebook marketing, you can have a picture on the background related to Facebook marketing. If you write Facebook posts about motivational quotes, you can have a background picture of the sun rising with your favorite quote in the same picture. No matter what you post about on Facebook, your background picture needs to give everyone a good idea about what you post. As a side note, the ideal dimensions of your Facebook Page’s background image are 851 pixel width by 315 pixel height.
  3. Make sure your Facebook posts are only 80 characters. The longer your Facebook post is, the less likely someone is to read the entire post. If you want to get more likes and engagement on Facebook, you need to create short and sweet posts that are easy to read and have a clear message.
  4. Include pictures in your Facebook posts. Facebook posts with pictures get more engagement than the Facebook posts without pictures. Although pictures are optional for Facebook posts, you should make it a point to have at least one picture in a Facebook post.
  5. Experiment with your posts. When you first start to see more engagement and likes coming in every day, it is important to identify what kind of content your fans like the most. There are a variety of factors that decide how much engagement your Facebook posts get such as the character count, topic of choice, way you worded what you said, the color of the picture, and other factors as well. You will be able to identify which factors work for you by posting a lot of content and seeing which Facebook posts get the most attention.
  6. Have an effective short bio. People get to see your short bio directly under your picture. They don’t have to click an About Me Page on the menu like you have to do with a blog. Instead, it’s right there. Your short bio can give people an idea of who you are and what you do. Since a short bio does not take a lot of time to read, most people will read your short bio before reading any of your posts.
  7. Post videos on Facebook. Videos grab our attention differently from the way a typical post grabs our attention. Posting videos will keep someone on your Facebook Page for a longer period of time. That’s long enough for someone to like that Facebook post, leave a comment, possibly share it with their friends, and repeat the process for some of your other Facebook posts as well.
  8. Get more likes for your Facebook Page. These are a bunch of ways that you can get more likes on your Facebook Page. Getting these likes makes your Facebook Page look more popular. Whether it is actually very popular or not, potential fans will see your Facebook Page and believe that it is very popular. These people will then engage with your posts and like your page because they see that so many other people have done the same.
  9. Post every day. New visitors are more likely to like your Facebook Page if you post every day. Posting every day shows that your Facebook Page is active, and if visitors like what you have posted in the past, then they know they need to like your Page in order to get your future posts in their news feed. The average dormant Facebook Page does not get as many likes as the average active Facebook Page. Facebook also does a really good job at telling people when they have not posted on their Facebook Pages in a while. If you ever get that kind of email, you need to stop what you are doing and immediately post something on Facebook and then schedule posts for the days to come.
  10. Time your posts based on what your audience is on Facebook. In order to get the best engagement from your Facebook posts, you need to send these posts out when most of your audience is on Facebook. Facebook provides analytics that contain the number of people who visit your Facebook Page for every hour of every day of every week. That is a powerful statistic that Facebook gives you for free. If it’s free, it doesn’t hurt, and in this case, the statistics can be the difference between your Facebook post getting 25 likes or 50 likes.

By constantly improving your Facebook Page, you will continue to see better results over time. Your engagement will go up, more people will hear about you, and by implementing circular viralocity, your blog and all of your social networks will be able to go viral. Having an effective Facebook Page is just one piece of the puzzle.

The 7 Laws Of Social Media Marketing

June 14, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is one of the most important ways to grow your business. Social media allows you to build connections that last for a long period of time, and marketing your products and blog posts on a powerful platform will allow you to get more traffic. The only way to be successful with social media marketing is by knowing what tactics must be followed. These are the Seven Laws Of Social Media Marketing:

  1. Provide quality content. You can spend $100,000 on advertising, but in the end, quality content is what makes people stick around. You may get a big spike in traffic in the beginning, but that traffic will go on a rapid decline if the content you lead your visitors to is bad.
  2. Be patient. It’s easily to get discouraged with only 100 followers. However, by being patient and constantly learning, you will eventually grow your following dramatically. There was a point when I had 0 followers on Twitter, and there was a point when I was stuck at 1,667 followers for several months. By being patient, I ended up discovering a method which I now use to gain 500 followers every day. In addition, the only reason this blog is successful is because of my Twitter account. Then, everything else (SEO, better content, etc) came into place.
  3. Optimize your blog. This one is a must (but then again, they all are). Once you get visitors, throwing away that traffic would be such a shame. This is the part that many people forget, and as a result, they throw away the traffic they get. Boost the chances of having someone subscribe to your blog by creating a blog that is designed to have a very low bounce rate.
  4. Have a clear message. Your message determines who your targeted audience is. Make your message clear by focusing on specific niches instead of having an unclear message with too much clutter. It is better to focus on 1 niche than it is to give some of your attention to 10 things you are interested in and make that your message.
  5. Listen to others. One of the qualities of leaders is to listen before speaking. Take the time to read your followers’ tweets before you respond to them. In addition, listen to people’s problems concerning your niche. What are certain aspects of your niche that give people the hardest time? Listening will help you identify the answer to that question and give you an idea for your next product.
  6. Include a free prize. The more free prizes you have, the better. Include a free prize in your social media marketing strategy so you get more likes, retweets, repins, or any other social media metric that you want. You can also include a free prize on your blog so more people who go to your blog from social networks are likely to become subscribers.
  7. Post content more often on your social networks. Going from tweeting once every hour to tweeting once every 30 minutes did me a lot of good. Going on to send out one tweet every 20 minutes yielded better results. Part of social media marketing is getting seen by as many people as possible. By scheduling posts (which allows you to post consistently), more people will be able to see your posts. In addition, send out posts when most of your followers are online. Facebook has its own statistics for Facebook Pages that allow you to see this while you can use Tweriod to see when people are on Twitter.

In order to get the best results from social media marketing, you need to follow these rules. Although they do not guarantee overnight results, performing these actions will allow you to see a dramatic increase in traffic and conversions over time. What are your thoughts on these social media marketing laws and do you have any other tips you would like to share? Please share your thoughts and advice below.
