Five Reasons Why Social Proof Is Massively Important

September 8, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Using Social Proof

When people say they went somewhere or something spectacular, some of those people will feel obligated to prove to their friends that something happened by showing a picture. Proving our point has become one of the major desires for any human being. When it comes to buying products from the experts, potential customers have a stronger desire to see social proof. They want to see how big your social media profile became before buying your products. The proof of a successful product that people want is no longer just in the pudding. It’s also in the social proof. Here are five reasons why social proof is so important.

  1. Social proof can prove that your methods work. The person who has 10 million YouTube channel views is more qualified to teach people about going viral on YouTube than the person who has 1,000 YouTube channel views.
  2. Big numbers help out in decision making. You need to grow a bigger presence on your social networks so you are able to grow bigger numbers. Most people are more likely to follow the social media expert with 100,000 followers than the social media expert with 1,000 followers. Most people are more likely to view the YouTube videos with tens of thousands of views than the ones with a few hundred views.
  3. You become more credible. The experts in their niches who have hundreds of thousands of followers look more credible than the people who have a few hundred followers.
  4. You look popular. Big social media presences are associated with popularity. This is one of the reasons why we believe (correctly) that celebrities are popular. They have millions of followers to show for it. However, many people buy fake followers to make themselves look popular. This does not result in popularity, and it’s easy to get caught.
  5. You look successful. Think about #3 and #4. A bigger social media presence would make someone look more credible and popular. Those are two of the many essential components of a successful person crushing their niche. Many people have great respect for those who are successful in society.

Social proof is not just an ego exercise. Instead, it is a way to tell people that you know how to master the system, become successful, and then your knowledge will become more valuable. Do you have Reason #6 for why social proof is valuable?

Social Media Tips To Get More Product Sales

September 2, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Social Media Funnel

Social media has become the giant hub for communication and connections to build with any group of people living in any locations in the world. People from Florida can easily interact with people in the United Kingdom with a tweet, Facebook post, pin, or some other form of a social media post. Despite how much easier it has become to interact with potential customers all over the world, few people are using social media to get more product sales, and most of those people are not promoting their products on their social networks the right way.

Social media is a bad way to get direct sales, but it is a great way to get indirect sales. You need to use social media to promote a platform that brings in more sales, but never the actual sales page. The easiest way to use social media to bring in more sales is by promoting a blog that promotes your products.

In addition to promoting a platform that will bring in more sales, you need to host giveaways of your own products. Many people use $50 Amazon Gift Card giveaways and similar types of giveaways, but in order to get more sales, the prize needs to be one of your products. That way, the people who did not win your product will have heard about it and be more likely to buy the product, especially if it is an inexpensive one.

Social media is one of the best places to grow an audience that you can interact with, know well to a certain extent, and bring in more sales. However, the only way to make money from social media is by realizing that you do not directly make money from social media. Instead, social media indirectly allows you to make money. What were your thoughts on these tips? Do you have any additional tips on using social media to bring in more product sales? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

Twitter

It seems as if the workload gets tougher as the days go by. There are more places to go and tasks to accomplish. In all of the confusion is the need to learn more about Twitter (among other things). Many people do not have enough time to read long blog posts, and remember all of the information from a long blog post is quite exhausting. That is why I am going to make this blog post brief so you are able to absorb the information without taking away too much time from your day.

  1. Retweet other people’s tweets to show respect. <<Click to tweet>>
  2. Start conversations with your followers. <<Click to tweet>>
  3. Join in on some of the conversations your followers are having. <<Click to tweet>>
  4. Tweet often so people see you more often. <<Click to tweet>>
  5. Tweet pictures for more engagement. <<Click to tweet>>
  6. Tweet at a consistent rate so any person from any timezone can see your tweets. <<Click to tweet>>

4 Incredibly Easy Methods To Achieve Social Media Balance

August 28, 2014 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

Social Media Taking Over

It is fair to say that social media has taken over the lives of many people. People’s emotions are controlled by what other people post, and many people spend hours surfing on these social networks without thinking of the tasks they need to complete. Some people have been known to become depressed by spending too much time on their social networks. However, that’s not because social media is bad. The reason people get depressed is because they spend too much time on social media doing the wrong things.

On social media, Facebook in particular, friends take pictures of themselves living the good life. This makes a person feel horrible because they are not up to par with that friend. However, just because a friend took a picture that indicates happiness, that friend may have only been happy in the moment. Not everyone is happy just because they’re smiling in their avatar.

For some people, their uses of social media has gone too far. With more time checking out tweets and liking posts but less time outside and being with the people who are important to you, some people have lost themselves on social media. However, this is the time to break loose of the addiction. Most of us need more balance between the time we spend on social media and the time we spend doing other things. Here are four ways to restore that balance.

  1. Do less surfing. A big reason why most people get trapped in social media is because they surf it too often. Without question, more time is spent surfing social media than is actually spent taking the time to write posts. If you cut down the amount of time you surf by 15-30 minutes every week, you will notice more time opening up and you being able to spend more time doing other things that you love to do.
  2. Limit yourself to three social networks. I do not suggest limiting social networks for the business side, but if you are addicted to social media, more social networks will not do you any good. If you spend 1 hour every day on each social network you go on, and you have seven social networks, that’s a grand total of seven hours being wasted on social media. Limit yourself to three social networks. If you have more than three social networks, enter humongous passwords with your eyes closed for the other social networks so they can’t get hacked and you don’t remember the password. Then, if you choose to recover your password, you will have to click “Forgot your password.” Now you have more time to think about what you are going to do and if you should stop before logging into the social network.
  3. Do more things outside of social media more often. Some people are addicted to social networks because they have nothing else going on in their lives. Some people have no one to interact with outside of home, and more unfortunate, some people have no one to interact with in their own home. You need to pursue other hobbies that take up time. I run for a minimum of 30 minutes every day, and some of my runs exceed two hours.
  4. Get fit. This is not the corny 4th example because I could not think of a good one. Getting fit takes a lot of time, and it gives you more discipline. Getting fit requires you to workout as often as you can putting in as much effort as possible. Soon, surfing social media will no longer be the priority. Getting fit will take its place. In order to maximize the effects of getting more fit, do workouts with a partner. You will both challenge each other to show up every day and get the task done.

Social media addiction take up hours of your time, but if you know how to fight the addiction, you will find more time to do the things you forgot you loved to do. Some people feel that social media is their only source of happiness, but there’s more to life than tweets and selfies. Although I am on Twitter often, I don’t let it consume my life, and no one should have to stoop to that level. If you are at that level now, do these four things so you can successfully break your social media addiction. It may take some time to pull it off, but the more you think about it, the less likely you are going to start. Make the choice to start now so you do not live in regret and a bigger social media addiction later.

3 Social Media Tips To Get More Clicks

August 22, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Social Media Clicks

Social media is a tool that allows you to interact with your followers and build an audience. However, social media is not the place to make money. Social media is the place for you to build awareness for your products and blog. You want more people to click on the links to your articles so you are able to bring in more revenue. The problem for most people is that getting those clicks is difficult. After tweeting blog post after blog post, only a few clicks come in. If you are successfully able to address this problem and get more clicks, your blog traffic will soar, and you will get more sales. In order to address that problem, follow these three social media tips.

  1. Grow a targeted audience. A targeted audience is different from any other kind of audience. This kind of audience is one that enjoyed the type of content you share before they started following you. Now that these people are following you, they will be interested in your content.
  2. Tweet better headlines. The headline is the sole indicator of how many times a link gets clicked. The more catchy and clear your headline is, the more clicks that headline is going to generate for the link. Here are some ways to master the headline.
  3. Tweet more often. The more content you tweet, the more people you are going to reach. It is important to remember that the world has different time zones. A podcast I would be featured in was scheduled to start at 3:30 pm. I got on my computer at 3:30 pm and then sent an email to verify that it was going to happen. Little did I know, the person was using Pacific time. This person’s version of 3:30 was my version of 6:30, and my version of 3:30 was this person’s version of 12:30. Although email and social media have connected us more than ever, the time zones remain disconnected. You need to tweet throughout the entire day so you reach everyone at the optimal time, no matter what time zone these people live in.

Implementing these three tips will allow you to see a gradual increase in the amount of clicks that you get. By getting more clicks, your will be more likely to sell more products in a shorter amount of time. What were your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

How To Make Social Media Profitable

August 21, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Profitable Social Media

The people who are building strong incomes around their social media profiles are not making the money directly from their social networks. Instead, these people are making their revenue from the blogs and products they promote on their social networks.

Before you think of making a profit on your social networks, you need to do two things. The first thing is that you need to make sure your blog is profitable. That means your blog must be able to grab email addresses efficiently, and there must be a system in place that encourages your subscribers to buy your products.

The second thing you need to do is define the desired profit. If you want to make a profit, you can make $1 in profit and you have fulfilled your purpose. Chances are you were not thinking of profit in that regard, but you need to define how much profit you want to make. Do you want to make $1,000 profit every month or go beyond that?

After you have that settled down, you need to use your social networks to get more blog traffic. Although search engines have really been picking it up lately for this blog, social media still accounts for a majority of this blog’s traffic.

That’s how you make a profit on social media. Some people have been able to make thousands of dollars in profit just by sending their social media audiences over to their blogs. Each time you promote an article, that article should promote your blog or one of your products in some way or the other.

How are you making your social media accounts profitable?
