Why Social Media, 3D Printing, And Cars Are Huge

September 18, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are over a billion people on Facebook. There are over half a billion people on Twitter. All of the social networks have millions of users. It’s not a mystery as to how social media is huge. If you say it’s because people can now talk to each other faster, you’d be wrong.

The reason why social media is huge is because it’s revolutionary. Social media dramatically improved one aspect of life. The fact that social media improved human interaction is just a coincidence.

3D printing is going to be really huge. It’s not because you can now print 3D objects that 3D printing is going to be huge. 3D printing is going to be huge because it’s a dramatic improvement of one aspect of life. If you hand make something, you can use a replicator to create a 3D file of what you handmade. Creating your own unique product couldn’t be any easier.

Cars are huge. Almost everyone has a car. There are plenty of traffic jams to account for that. The reason why cars are huge is because cars were a dramatic improvement. Instead of riding on a horse when you go somewhere, you can drive in a car (assuming you have a license). Cars go a lot faster than horses, but even when a car is going slower than a horse, it has its benefits. The car can go on as long as there’s gasoline left in the tank. A horse can only go on until it gets tired or hungry.

If you can find a way to dramatically improve an aspect of life whether that aspect is travel, communication, or something else, you will become a member of the elite.

Apple’s New Commercials Are Too Long

September 17, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Most of the commercials for Apple are about 30 seconds long with few words. Those standards were consistently met with each commercial.

The new commercials for the iPhone 5 breaks the consistency. The new commercials is a minute long, and there are almost 20 words said in those commercials. The word count may not be a dramatic change, but going from about 30 seconds to an entire minute is a dramatic change. It’s similar to me (or another blogger) publishing 5 blog posts at the same time. It breaks the consistency. Some of the most passionate readers may read all 5 blog posts in one sitting, but most readers won’t read 3 of those blog posts.

The old commercials for Apple’s iPhone 5 were 30 seconds or so. I was one of the many who enjoyed the short but meaningful commercials about the iPhone 5. They were nice, sweet, short, and to the point. It doesn’t take long to figure out Apple is promoting the iPhone 5 in their latest commercial (or any for that matter). It may take 10 seconds at most for someone to figure out Apple is promoting their iPhone 5.

However, the new commercials simply drags on. The new commercials aren’t the 30 second short and to the point commercials. They each last an entire minute or so to the point where I want to stop looking at how more people are using their iPhones to take pictures (or something else) than any other camera. Some people probably mute the commercial or turn off the TV before they even hear the words which are essential to the commercial.

Breaking consistency is one thing. Making something simply drag on too long is another. Both acting together is horrendous. I don’t like Apple’s new commercials. What are your thoughts about their new commercials?

Why Are You Remarkable?

September 17, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

You have to be remarkable in order to be successful. Safe is dangerous and risk leads to success. There must be a reason why people will want to talk about your business.

People talk about athletes because they are either extremely good or bad. People talk about Apple because of all of their excellent products.

What makes you remarkable? What part of your business are people probably going to tell their friends about? Make yourself remarkable. The more remarkable you are, the better you will become.

How To Tweet Your Way To Glory

September 16, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Everyone is looking for ways to get more followers. Some people are close to 1,000 followers, other people are close to 10,000 followers, and there are some people who are also close to 100,000 followers. In order to get those followers, you need to keep on tweeting. However, not all tweets are tweeted equal. There are some ways to get more followers just by using those 140 characters well.

The first way to tweet your way to glory is to use RT or r/t at the end of some of your tweets. These tweets can be links to really good articles or links to your blog posts. If you include RT or r/t at the end of your tweet, your tweet is more likely to get retweeted.

The second way to tweet your way to glory is to tweet inspirational quotes every once in a while. I tweet once an hour, and four of those tweets are inspirational quotes. Many of my tweets that are inspirational quotes are retweeted.

The third way to tweet your way to glory is to capitalize the first letter of every word for the title of a blog post or article. If you decide to share this article on Twitter, the best way to share it is by tweeting, “How To Tweet Your Way To Glory: LINK” Note that even the “To’s are capitalized. Capitalize the first letter of every word if you are copying the title from a blog or article.

The fourth way to tweet your way to glory is to tweet frequently and consistently. If you always tweet at a certain time, people will know when you will tweet. If you tweet every hour like I do, you will constantly appear on your followers’ timelines. When someone is following 5,000 people, and you only tweet once a day, that follower won’t see your tweet if they login 5 minutes later. Tweet frequently and consistently.

The fifth way to tweet your way to glory is to start conversation. When you start conversations, and they continue for a long period of time, you are more likely to get a customer or someone who subscribes to your blog.

Go forth and tweet your way to glory.

Blogging Gets Better With Age And Experience

September 16, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

A lot of bloggers stop blogging 2-3 months after they start, and I know the probable reason that most bloggers quit. You’ve seen Seth Godin, Jeff Bullas, Social Media Examiner, and others. You’ve seen them boost their 200,000+ subscribers, bestselling products, and more. You see them getting millions of views every month, and it just seems so easy.

A blog does not get all of those subscribers in a week, month, or in some cases, years. It takes a long time for blogs to actually rake up and keep traffic.

If you are a blogger, I encourage you to continue. If you don’t have a blog yet, I encourage you to create an account on WordPress. You won’t be the next famous blogger until years of consistently sending out blog posts.

After you send out all of those blog posts, and you start to get a lot of traffic, you will start to see the difference. Blogging isn’t a sprint. Blogging is like running two marathons.

I Don’t Think I Can

September 15, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I know I can.

Thinking doesn’t get you closer to actually doing what you were thinking about. You can think about how everything is going to work when your finished. However, going from start to finish involves actually doing work to get you there.

It’s time to stop thinking and start knowing that you can do this!
