There are a lot of things that we can learn from looking at the statistics of our websites and blogs. Statistics provide accurate information about how many visitors you get, how many click outs you get, and how many sales you are able to get each month. Some servers and affiliate programs offer different statistics than others, but it is important to identify all of the important statistics and look at those. You can see a rise in traffic or a decline in traffic for specific websites. One of my Squidoo lenses called 50 Ways To Make Money From Home has received a lot of traffic lately. This lens talks about 10 of the methods that I use to make money while the others are included in my eBook which I promote at the bottom of that lens. This lens went from less than 10 visitors per day in January to over 200 visitors per day right now. I expect this lens to reach 300 visitors in 1 day before the end of April. This lens most likely made a great comeback since everyone wants to know how to make money online. The statistics have taught me one lesson today (and they will teach me many others along the way)–what’s high on demand always gets visitors.

Very Touching
What happened at the Boston Marathon was a true disaster. We shouldn’t try to come up with any quick answers. Instead, we should quickly come to the aid of the people of Boston. As many people in my school know, I am a Boston Red Sox fan, and I stay up to date with what is going on with my favorite sports team. I was very fascinated to find these two pictures online which each made their way to Twitter. A couple of days after the Red Sox are playing the Cleveland Indians, and this note left in the Red Sox dugout shows us that the opposing team care about what is going on. We can only imagine what these players are thinking about as they take the field, and eventually, when they return to Fenway Park.
In addition to this, the Yankees have their logo and the Red Sox logo at the front of the stadium with the words, “United We Stand.” In the 8th inning, Sweet Caroline was heard throughout Yankee Stadium which is always played at Fenway Park during the 8th inning.
Baseball teams play against each other with the goal of beating the other team. However, some games go beyond the meaning of winning and losing. Some games are about having an impact on the community of players and citizens of Boston. As MLB put it, last night, we were all Bostonians–and we will continue to be as we remember what happened on that day.
#Hashtags
If you use Twitter, then you have probably heard of hashtags. Hashtags add emphasis to a tweet by highlighting main words. By highlighting the main words, you will be able to give your visitors and followers an idea about what you talk about. Hashtags can be thought of as an exclamation point. Since a hashtag has a different color from the rest of the tweet’s text, it will be the first thing the visitor sees. However, having too many hashtags in your tweets is just like having too many exclamation points in the same paragraph–they will get overemphasized. This will result in less followers and visitors which is something that can’t happen. Don’t use too many hashtags in your tweets, but don’t avoid them either.
Appearance Matters
Don’t judge a book by its cover. Too bad not everyone thinks this way. Before your visitors see any words on your blog, they will notice the appearance of the blog. The theme of the blog is essential to attract your visitors. If your theme looks dull, you won’t be able to keep your visitors on your blog for too long. If your blog has a good theme, your reader will stay long enough to take a look at your content. Then it is all up to the content on the blog to keep the visitor engaged.
Line Segment AB
A line segment is a part of a line with 2 end points. A line segment, or as I would like to call it, Line Segment AB, can be used to give you an idea of how much your business has improved or declined. Point A can be considered the starting point (where you began with your business) and Point B can be considered as achieving a goal. You might be close to that goal, or you might be far away from it. Line Segment AB will give you an idea of how close you are to achieving that goal.
Rules
Sometimes rules are avoid, forced upon others, or you are the one giving out the rules. There are some good rules to follow such as not driving a car at a young age or doing other things too early, but there are some rules that restrict success from others. Rules can be good or bad, but it is up to what the rule is, who is giving out the rule, and the intention of that person. There can be many unintended consequences by giving out too many rules which can limit the growth of a business.
