Turning Your Fears Into Ideas That Lead To Growth

June 22, 2013 by Marc Guberti 1 Comment

Apple has become a powerful company because it was able to create a lot of great products and sell them. There are many devices Apple has sold such as the iPhone, Mac, iPad, a mouse for the Mac, and others as well.

There are a lot of things you can say about the devices Apple produces such as reliable, fast, easy to use, or incredible. I use 2 devices I got from Apple every day (my iPhone 4S and Mac Book Pro). However, when people describe Apple’s products, few will say something about the number of buttons.

The iPhone has only 1 button. The iPad has only 1 button. The Mac has a very small power button at the corner. The mouse has only 1 button as well. Apple’s competitors had buttons all over their devices, so why did Apple do things differently?

Having less buttons in my opinion allows me to do more on my Apple devices. I am able to find the exact button I am looking for since there aren’t many buttons to choose from. This could have been the reason why Apple avoided using a lot of buttons, but after doing some research on Steve Jobs, I figured out the answer.

Steve Jobs had button phobia. He couldn’t stand buttons. If you look up pictures of him doing a Keynote presentation about the newest Apple products, you won’t find any buttons on his shirt. As the CEO of Apple, his fear of buttons made an impact on the designs of Apple products.

Apple products have few buttons, but that doesn’t mean Apple’s devices aren’t useful. I use them every day, and I never have to worry about finding the right button to click.

Steve Jobs had a fear of buttons, and one of the many reasons Apple is a thriving company is because there aren’t many buttons on their devices. If Steve Jobs did not have a fear of buttons, more buttons would have probably been added to Apple devices.

Look At The Flaws And The Big Picture

June 20, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Nothing is perfect. The best business is going to have a flaw or two. The best event will have some flaws as well.

Summer is a great time for people to relax, work on their businesses, and control their own schedules. That sounds incredible, but there are some flaws with summer. All of the insects don’t come out. They come in. There are more ants everyday. Figuring out how they get in is just as hard as taking them out of the house.

Google gives us a lot of different products to try. Is Google able to answer all of our questions? The answer is no, but there are many people who are happy with Google. Most people use Google for the search function while some people use Google’s products such as AdSense and Google+.

Summer and Google have their flaws. Sadly, there are a lot of people who only look at the flaws. Instead, we should look at the flaws and the big picture. Summer is a great time to relax and have fun. Summer symbolizes the end of school for 3 months and more vacation time.

Google is the difference between going to the library to look for information on a rainy day or being able to access the information you need on your computer while watching the rain fall. I do not know what it felt like to go to the library everyday to find information for a school project. I don’t want to go through that experience anytime soon, and Google prevents that from happening.

Something may not be working the way you wanted it to. Your guest post to a well-known blog could have been disapproved or you lost a lot of followers on one day. Do look at the flaws, but also look at the big picture.

If you were trying to submit a guest post, it means you had something such as a Twitter account or a blog to promote. If you lost a lot of followers on one day, it means you had a lot of followers, and going from 1,000 followers to 900 followers still means that you have 900 followers.

The big picture is a painting. The flaw is just a yellow dot on the painting. You get to choose how big you make that yellow dot.

Do you look at the flaws, the big picture, or both?

Pennies Add Up

I recently created an account on Bubblew and submitted my first article about The Pros And Cons Of Following Back On Twitter. There are a variety of ways to get paid for using their services such as views, shares, likes, and many other ways including dislikes. For each of these interactions, you get $0.01. I have already made over $1 on my first day, and I am excited to see the potential.

When you are working on your ideas, realize that the money will not come to you right away. It will take time before you make thousands of dollars every month, and you might get low paychecks such as $0.75. Remember that the low paychecks are final for a limited time; you can always do better on the next paycheck.

UPDATE: Bubblews has been taken down because of the way advertising has changed. It was fun creating articles for them but now I must turn a new chapter.

Never Give Up On Your Ideas

June 2, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Batman is a superhero who is clever, analyzes all of the details, and is determined to capture the criminals. The Dark Knight is now a very popular superhero, and has been featured in 3 best selling movies.

In the comics, there weren’t too many changes for Batman. He looked the same, had the same vehicles, and other things. Basically, everything was the same. By 1964, Batman’s comic series was doing dreadful to a point where DC was “planning to kill Batman off all together.”

Batman’s batmobile went through changes and so did his costume. The TV series was able to boost sales of the comics, but the TV show was soon taken down, and sales plummeted once again.

What could have saved Batman’s legacy from being forgotten was a book titled The Dark Knight Returns when a 55 year old Batman comes out of retirement. Ever since that book was published, the Dark Knight gained more popularity. The struggle for this character to get a lot of fans ended when the three successful movies of the Dark Knight were produced.

Batman is a character who never gives up, and the legacy of Batman never left, no matter how close Batman was to being exterminated as a character.

Counting Down

May 31, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Is your business going to be around for 10 years soon? WordPress recently celebrated its 10th year of service, and if there is an important event occurring, you should create a count down for that event. Count the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the special day is reached.

By counting down, you can recollect all you accomplished while working on what you are going to be celebrating. Count down to that special day and constantly remind yourself of all of the things you were able to accomplish within a short amount of time.

I’ll be doing a countdown for my last end term which is June 6, and then there’s 3 months of no school.

The Crows

May 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are many eagles that fly in the sky, but there are often crows flying right beside the eagles. The crows can fly just like the eagles, and the crows mock the eagles. However, the eagles are able to fly higher than the crows will ever be able to fly.

The crow spends its time mocking the creatures that it is inferior to, and when the superior creatures show why they are superior, the crows will not try to do better. The crows cannot be successful unless they make a big change.
