The Missing Piece Of The Puzzle: Your Product

November 15, 2013 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

The missing piece is somewhere hidden away. The consumers are looking for that missing piece in order to complete the puzzle. They look at product after product in order to find the final piece to the puzzle. Your product needs to be the missing piece to the puzzle, and you need to tell consumers that you have the missing piece of the puzzle.

There was a time when tablets were not successful. Kindle was the best, but people just saw Kindle as a way to buy books and read magazines. Then, Steve Jobs came in with the first iPad. The iPad was a new tablet, and Jobs told the consumers that the iPad was like the missing piece of the puzzle. Now, we know the iPad very well. The iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, and iPad Mini are effective tablets.

Apple took the world by storm with its iPads because tablets were not doing well. The iPad offered a solution which just happened to be the missing piece of the puzzle.

What puzzle are your consumers trying to complete, and what is the missing piece? That missing piece needs to be one of your products.

Why Giving Away Your Products Will Dramatically Transform Your Business

November 8, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are a lot of bestselling authors who use numerous methods to promote their books. I have been looking through all of the methods that various bestselling authors shared. There were some of the common ones such as use social media, increase traffic, and so on. However, there was one uncommon practice that commonly appeared as a method used by bestselling authors to increase sales.

Giving away a product for free is an uncommon practice. A majority of people don’t follow this method. The thought of giving your own content away for free baffles a majority of entrepreneurs. After all of that hard work, giving anything away for free seems crazy.

Giving away a product is going to result in you losing some money in the beginning. One bestseller advised to, “Give till it hurts.” The secret is that you’re not famous yet. People don’t know about you, and they don’t know what to expect from your products. If a product is free, the risk of being unsatisfied gets taken out of the equation. By giving your products to consumers for free, the consumer will appreciate your product for its quality. They tell their friends about you, and you’ll get more sales.

Giving away products will also allow you to create testimonials. For bestselling authors, these testimonials appear as reviews on popular e-commerce websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. When a consumer sees all of the good reviews, they are more likely to buy the product. The consumer thinks, “If other people liked the product, I’ll probably like it too.”

Most entrepreneurs aren’t open to the idea of giving their product away for free. When these entrepreneurs imagine giving 100 of their own products away for free, many will avoid giving away their products no matter what happens. However, giving away your product will allow you to create the buzz that won’t go away.

The road is going to be very bumpy in the beginning, but the ROI is going to be legendary.

Reload

October 23, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are some business tactics you use that are going to work. You may have discovered that awesome way to get hundreds of extra visitors on your blog. You may have figured out that awesome method of getting 10 times the amount of sales you would have gotten.

When you figure out something that works, there’s no longer a need to rebuild. Now you have to reload. If it works, chances are it’s going to work again. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Basically, by doing what you have always done, you will get what you’ve always gotten.

That business tactic that is working right now is going to work again. Mike Michalowicz came up with The Pumpkin Plan, a method in which any business can go from ordinary to remarkable by addressing the top clients and going from there (he has a book about this plan so you can follow it and figure out why he chose to call it a “Pumpkin” Plan in the first place). Mike has created three multimillion dollar businesses with the same business tactics. He’s not rebuilding his plan each time he sells one of his business. Instead, he reloads and starts another business.

Rebuilding only happens when tactics aren’t working. If the tactics are working, there’s no reason to rebuild. All you have to do is reload.

What Do They Want?

October 17, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

If you can answer that question, and make something that they want, you’ll be able to create a product that stands out, gets a lot of media attention, and becomes a bestseller. If you can’t answer that question right now, answer that question. The bestselling products are the ones that solve problems or are the ones that are in high demand. Anything that solves a big problem ends up going in high demand, so it’s best to find out what they want.
If you create something for them, they will buy the product. If you create something for yourself, you’ll only get a few sales. What do they want, and are you in a position to give them what they want?

5 Great Ways To Use Pinterest For The Holidays

October 8, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The holidays are coming up, and marketers are scrambling to find ways to get more followers from the outburst of online traffic and sales. Pinterest is a social network that’s all about organizing pictures into boards. The unique way Pinterest is set up allows it to stand out from the crowd of other social networks. The average consumer on Pinterest spends $180 which is mammoth sized compared to all of the other social networks. It’s important to utilize the powers of Pinterest during the holidays, and I’m going to show you 5 ways to do that.

  1. Christmas lists are better told than hidden. You won’t get everything you want on your Christmas list if no one knows what to buy you. Friends don’t want to play the guessing game, and we want what we put on our individual Christmas lists. Imagine a way that you could tell all of your friends what you wanted for Christmas or other holidays while getting more sales. On Pinterest, there’s a way for that to happen. You can find pictures of the products that you want and pin them on a special board containing everything you want for the holidays. If you can, stick in some affiliate links. LinkShare has good options since Amazon Affiliate Links don’t effectively work on Pinterest.
  2. Use Pinstamatic. Pinstamatic allows you to turn text into pictures. If you want to turn the words of a motivational quotes into a picture, you can use Pinstamatic to get that done. Pinstamatic also allows you to write lists. If you want to write a list of your favorite authors or favorite books, then Pinstamatic is the right place for you.
  3. Host a giveaway on Pinterest. People are looking for any kind of deals they can find. Hosting a giveaway on Pinterest is a great way to get exposure. Better yet, you can giveaway one of your products. Even better yet, you can charge $5 to be eligible for the giveaway and give that money to a charity of your choice.
  4. Tell people about great deals. People want to know about the discounts. Some people will buy something just because of the discount. If you create a Pinterest board that displays the biggest discounts for a narrowed down selection of products, you will be able to get more sales.
  5. Create an Advent board. Create the board on the first day of December, and pin one thing on that board every day until Christmas day. Make sure all of the pins are connected to a main idea that flows as you add pins to that board. You can have an Advent board for some of the best books, the most inspirational quotes, tidbits of information, and so on.

The Marketing Bull’s Eye

October 7, 2013 by Marc Guberti 4 Comments

The ways of marketing constantly change. The bull’s eye changes in size, shape, and location. However, it’s always difficult to hit. TV advertising was the way to go. Now mobile advertising is the way to go. Marketing will always change. Before TV advertising, newspaper ads had more power. Social media has quickly become an effective way to market products, blog posts, and services.

The bull’s eye always changes because our interests change. Who remembers Kodak’s cameras? Who still uses them? Smartphones have replaced those Kodak cameras. Print books used to be very popular. eBooks are winning that competition by a landslide. The music industry has also changed by a lot as well.

The bull’s eye always moves around, and it always changes. So why aim for it? It’s a moving target. However, if you get the marketing bull’s eye, you’ll be able to benefit greatly until the bull’s eye moves. However, it’s much easier for you to hit the marketing bull’s eye for a second time since people know about you. People are already paying attention to what you have to offer. Thus, the marketing bull’s eye gets bigger and easier to hit.

It’s not uncommon for people to give up on marketing, especially when it is constantly changing, but if you hit the marketing bull’s eye once, and you keep on aiming for the bull’s eye, each bull’s eye will be easier to hit than the last.
