The End And An End

August 25, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

The ending is something that cannot be escaped. It’s definite, and there is no hope of a comeback.

An end is something that cannot be escaped either. It’s definite as well, but there is always another way to comeback.

The words you speak are the words you become. When businesses fall apart, people are quick to say it’s the end. Instead of being the end, it’s an end. When one door closes, another one opens.

Tunnel Vision VS Multi Tasking

August 25, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Tunnel vision is another way of saying that you’re focused on one thing. If you’re recording a video right now, you’re only thinking of that video. That Twitter update doesn’t matter until you finish recording the video. That’s tunnel vision.

Multi Tasking is trying to write in a notebook and look at your statistics at the same time. You write in your notebook, and then you look up every once in a while to look at the statistics. That’s multi tasking.

Multi tasking seems like the better choice since you get two things done at the same time. I wrote a blog post about multi tasking saying that is was possible. I read other people’s blogs while running on the treadmill.

If you have a choice, tunnel vision is the way to go. Multi tasking allows you to accomplish your goals based on quantity. Tunnel vision allows you to accomplish those goals with quality. When you’re taking a break from recording that video, you can check that Twitter update and reply quickly, but then it’s back to the video.

With tunnel vision, when you see something else emerge, you ignore it or spend little time on it. Then, you go back to what you were doing. I find tunnel vision very useful when it comes to writing one of my books or blog posts.

However, when it comes to taking notes, it is essential to multi task. When the speaker says something important, you write it down and wait for the speaker to say something else that is important.

Multi tasking and tunnel vision have their own benefits. In some cases, multi tasking will work better than tunnel vision. If you listen to what the speaker has to say, and you don’t write anything down, what have you learned? However, tunnel vision is usually the better approach. Usually doesn’t mean always though.

Scary Words

August 24, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Fear, quit, fail, collapse, and unsaleable (I made that one up) are some of the scary words out there.

They are just words. Remember that. You decide whether you live by these words or just know what the words mean.

Fear doesn’t exist. It’s an illusion that we create. Fear is the greatest enemy of success, especially the fear of failure.

Failure isn’t something to fear. People who fail and don’t quit are destined to succeed eventually.

We are held back by those words. Free yourself from the shackles of your mind and explore your true potential. Everyone is destined for greatness. You just have to take steps towards that greatness.

Why More Teenagers Will Have Their Own Businesses Soon

August 24, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The movement is coming. I am proof of that movement. In the upcoming years, more teenagers will have their business than ever before. Some teenagers who have businesses are already making it big.

Teenagers spend a lot of time on social media. In fact, they spend 7 hours a day consuming media. What if that media were productive for a business? Teenagers spend a lot of time on Twitter, Facebook, and all of the other social networks.

Teenagers are writing update after update on social networks. What if writing those updates can turn into something bigger, such as a blog post. Before I blogged every day, I used social media every day (I still do). I sent update after update, and today, I send blog post after blog post.

Blog post after blog post turned into book after book. I currently have 4 books, a book about blogging to be published in September, a book about 365 ways to improve your business being published in November, and a book called 7 Habits Of Highly Effective Entrepreneurs to be published in February.

I started with updates on my social networks, and here I am today. Many of my friends are asking me how I started my blog. When I told them about my new books, they wanted to know how I sell those books. Teenagers are curious, and there will be more who decide to give their business ideas a try.

When more teenagers give their business ideas a try, it trends. Teenagers jump on the trends. That’s why many teenagers are on Instagram. Instagram was the newest trend when it was launched back in 2010. Now there are millions of people on Instagram, and many of those users are teenagers.

The age of waiting for working papers is over. Many teenagers will be starting their own businesses in the near future.

We Carve Out Our Own Fate

August 23, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Sometimes we may feel as if we have lost total control over our business. Simply put, we believe that fate will decide. Fate will steer our business in the direction it needs to be right now. Fate will save us.

The only way fate will save us is if we take steps to carving out our own fate. If we don’t carve out our own fate, we are not taking charge of our lives. In order to become successful and truly take charge, you need to start carving out your own fate.

There is no lucky horseshoe that some entrepreneurs get where they go from nothing at all to riches, virality (every time), and a bunch of products. The only way to get from Point A to Point B is to carve out your own fate.

Get your stone and chisel so you can carve out your fate. Do everything you need to do that will result in a good fate. A good fate is much better than a bad one.

11 Ways To Get More Retweets On Twitter

August 23, 2013 by Marc Guberti 7 Comments

When your tweet gets retweeted, it is being shared to potentially thousands of people. If you get retweeted by a person with over 100,000 followers, your tweet will be in front of over 100,000 other people. This is why it’s becoming more important to get those retweets. Here are 11 ways to get more retweets.

  1. Tweet consistently. If you want people to retweet, they have to know when you tweet. Use HootSuite to schedule your tweets.
  2. Tweet motivational quotes. Everyone is looking for those quotes, and almost all of the motivational quotes I tweet get retweeted.
  3. Have a following. Having a following always helps out towards getting more retweets. If you don’t have your first 1,000 followers yet, here are 10 proven ways to get your first 1,000 followers.
  4. Retweet other people’s tweets. Give and you shall receive.
  5. Start more conversations. The people who you talk with may decide to retweet one of your tweets.
  6. Include RT, rt, or r/t at the end of your tweet. Asking improves your changes as long as you avoid saying, “Please Retweet.”
  7. Put tweets up on your blog. Although I don’t do this, I have a Twitter icon which leads to my account. Both work.
  8. Make your tweets retweet-worthy. A tweet with a typo doesn’t get retweeted by anyone. Everyone will notice the typo instead of the rest of the tweet.
  9. Be relevant. If you tweet about baseball, news about baseball teams is what your followers want to see.
  10. Stay on the lookout for the ripple effect. If someone retweets your tweet to 100,000 followers, chances are that some of those 100,000 followers are going to retweet your tweet as well. You won’t get all 100,000 followers to retweet your tweet, and you’d be lucky if you got 100 of them to retweet your tweet. However, you’re bound to get at least 10 retweets that way. The small ripple turns into a big ripple, and then you become viral (being viral isn’t as easy as it sounds though).
  11. Keep on tweeting. You only get all of those tweets by not giving up. When you keep on tweeting, you will eventually get to 100,000 followers. You won’t need the person with 100,000 followers to retweet your tweets. You’ll be that guy with 100,000 followers.
