The Race Is On

May 10, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I'm happy to see you around. You may want to subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Welcome back! I am so happy to see that you have come back for more.

Speed is your friend in the business world. Being able to constantly make innovations your business will attract more potential customers which turn into buyers if you provide good content or a good product. Having the best content is important, but being able to have something NEW is just as important if not more important. If you create content that you sell, people are going to buy it if it is good. If you want to sell a book, you’ll get a lot of sales if the content is good and the reviews are just as good. However, no one is going to buy the same book for themselves twice.

The only way to counter this problem is to publish more books, but here’s another problem. Your book isn’t the only one people buy. There are many other books that other people buy. Eventually, the bookshelf gets stacked with books, and your book is hard to find amongst the other books. If you publish your next book a year later, people who bought your first book will forget about your second book or buy books from another author. Even if your readers buy your book on the Kindle where it won’t be as easy for them to lose sight of your book, other authors will prevail if you don’t continue publishing new content.

How can you fight this problem? The simple answer is to publish more books within a certain amount of time that is quick and possible. This idea does not only apply to books though.

When Does Success Knock On Someone’s Door?

May 9, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Success doesn’t come natural, and all of the successful people were once unknown. Everyone–good entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs making millions of dollars were once newbies who didn’t know how to become successful. They just had an idea and wanted to stay with it.

Consistency brings forth success in many forms. If you continue adding content to your blog or website day in and day out, you will see results. The truth is that success doesn’t come knocking on your door unless its given an invitation. You’re the only person who can give that invitation to success so that it can knock on your door.

My Favorite Way To Take A Break

May 8, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

My favorite way to take a break from my work is to…work. This may sound shocking, but if you like what you are working on, you won’t stop until it’s finished. I take breaks where I don’t do work sometimes, but I enjoy creating blog posts, scheduling tweets, and working on my content. If you like what you do, you won’t have to take a break from it.

Overcoming The Dreaded Inbox

May 6, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I was thinking of an idea for my next blog post, but then I saw the icon for my inbox. I wanted to see if I got any new messages, so I clicked on it. After I clicked it, I realized that I had clicked it 5 minutes ago and found no new messages. The result was no different when I clicked it a second time.

I knew there was no way that this was the first time I had looked in my inbox twice in 5 minutes…or even more. Looking through an inbox that many times can make someone lose what they were thinking about. What that person was thinking about could have been the next multimillion dollar idea, we’ll never know.

Is it really worth it to look through your inbox? It is important to look at your inbox on occasion to answer questions that people may have or respond to an important email. However, it is not good to be consumed by your inbox.

There is always a time when we are least productive or are simply pondering for a new idea. Those are the times when we should check our inboxes. When I check my inbox, most of the messages are from websites I don’t know or random people. Some of it is really spammy. The few relevant messages I get don’t even involve me writing back to someone most of the time. Most of the time, the only relevant messages I get are about new comments.

If something takes up your time and doesn’t help your business, it’s usually not worth it. Checking your inbox every 5 minutes when you know the outcome is definitely not worth your time.

The Ending Of A Story

May 5, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Just because the end of the story has to be the last 3 paragraphs of the story doesn’t mean that they have to be the last 3 paragraphs of the story. Some stories put the end of the story on the first page. This results in the author giving away some important events and main characters to look for throughout the book. Those names stay in our minds, and when we read a story like that, we look for the names mentioned on the first page of the book. Authors who use this strategy well leave out one important part of the story–the how part. How does this happen? The ending of a story is usually the last 3 paragraphs of the story, but some people decide to put it on the first page.

Don’t do what everyone else does if you disagree with it.
