Patience–Everybody Needs It

March 31, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Patience is a virtue, but not everyone has it. We all need it, but not everyone gets it. Patience can be the difference between having a very successful business or working for a low wage. I have done a lot of Lego animations, and they require a lot of patience. A 30 second video could contain over 100 pictures. If you wanted to get a 5 minute Lego animation video, you would need thousands of photos. The photos are also hard to get since you have to move the Lego mini figure in a very slow process. If the mini figures are relocated, you will have to start all over again. On the other hand, these videos have been viewed millions of times on YouTube. We all need patience, but not everyone gets it. If you want to see your business succeed, you do need to have some patience in the beginning.

The End Of Procrastination

March 29, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

No one can help anyone get out of the bad habit of procrastination. They can advise ways to get out of procrastination, but it is up to the procrastinator to change his habits. There are many people who procrastinate, and then the perfect day for productivity turns into another wasted day. I want to share with you some methods that I use to prevent myself from procrastinating so that you procrastinate less as well.

  1. Write down your goals and make a schedule for when each goal should be accomplished.
  2. Think about where you will be if you don’t procrastinate for a day.
  3. Take very small breaks. My breaks are only 5 minutes long when I have to do something important for my business.
  4. Stay away from the TV or surfing the internet. Those two devices can take away a lot of time.
  5. Make what you do fun. You’ll want to do it more.

What Not To Do On Twitter

March 28, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

I have been on Twitter for awhile now. My number of followers have dramatically grown from a steady 1,600 to now over 3,000 followers. I am also spending even more time on Twitter as well since I want to get to 3,500 Twitter followers before the end of Easter Break. I have increased the amount of follow backs I do, but I do not use the #followback hashtag. You should not use that hashtag. Just let the followers to following ratio do the talking.

There is another main problem that I have been seeing users do. I have been following a lot of people, and within 5 minutes I follow them, I get a direct messages. Getting a DM is good because the person who you follow cares about you, right? In over 90% of the DMs however, it is someone promoting an eBook or wanting you to follow their other social networks as well. I find these DMs very annoying especially since I get about 10 of these messages a day. The first DM looked impressive, and I wanted to do it, but when you get the same DMs saying similar stuff all of the time, it gets very tiresome.

As I was about to hit the Schedule button to schedule this blog post, sure enough, I got another DM. Avoiding these problems will give your followers more respect for you.

Keep Going

March 25, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

You may be new to making money online, and you may be realizing how hard it is to make money online. Only a year ago, I was new to making money online as well. I was by no means going to naturally get hundreds or thousands of visitors a day without any work. I was lucky if I only got 10 visitors per day. I am glad I didn’t stop. My Yugioh Philosophy Blog gets close to 500 visitors a week and all of my Squidoo lenses combined get over 5,000 visitors per week. That’s almost 300,000 visitors a year that I would not be gettig if I stopped half way. I was new to building blogs and websites and had a rate that would have landed me about 1,000 visitors a year. Now I get almost 1,000 visitors a day from all of my blogs, websites, and lenses.

Don’t give up because you’ll never know how far you would have truly gone.

You Don’t Know Where Kindness Will Get You

March 23, 2013 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

The main purpose of Squidoo is to allow lensmasters such as myself to make money online and donate to charities at the same time. Some lensmasters have raised over $100 to charities of their choice while others are getting even closer to that goal. Squidoo can easily be described as a website making millions of dollars. Squidoo is not at its best right now because Google is losing its trust with Squidoo. Seth Godin who founded Squidoo made a conference call last week to address the main problems and give the lensmasters hope. This was a very kind thing to do since many lensmasters were beginning to question the future of Squidoo. Kindness towards charities resulted in thousands of dollars being donated, and Squidoo’s kindness to its lensmasters has resulted in high quality lenses that dominate Squidoo. To think less than 10 years ago, there was no Squidoo. Instead, Squidoo was just an idea to help more people. When I look at Squidoo today, I marvel at its success.
