Inspyr Socks Motivates Others In A Different Way

June 25, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Inspyr Socks

People are constantly searching for ways to get motivated to get tasks done and live a better life. There are methods out there such as reading motivational quotes, doing the work, and being happy for the results. However, wearing the right clothing can also allow you to live a more motivated life. Life Is Good did the job with their shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise with the simple message, life is good.

Now there is a new start-up that is gaining momentum that makes and sells motivational socks. Inspyr Socks is a Pennsylvania based start-up that intends to motivate others with inspirational sayings on each of their socks and show individuals that success and living a wonderful life are both in their reach.

Imagine looking down at your socks and seeing motivational messages such as, “Think it, Be it” “Believe, Achieve,” Will Power,” “Work Hard,” and “Step Up.” Wearing clothing with a powerful message is by far one of the most underrated ways to get and stay motivated.

One of the additional perks to wearing Inspyr Socks is that you get to share motivational messages with others. Not only do you get to feel empowered, but people who see your Inspyr Socks will also receive the motivational message. You get to help others get motivated.

I support Inspyr Sock’s message and think it is a powerful message that is going to be heard by the masses. Inspyr Socks is “inspyring” the world one pair of socks at a time.

52% Of This Blog’s Traffic Came From Social Media For Three Months

June 25, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

social media traffic

Last May was a really good month for this blog. It surpassed 80,000 all-time views and just missed getting 20,000 views for the month (it was less than 500 views away). As I got closer to 100,000 all-time views, I decided to dig into the statistics for my blog to see my strengths and where I could improve. As I expected, Twitter was by far my biggest source of traffic for the past three months at 23,389 views from March 3, 2014 to May 3, 2014. Search engines were far behind at only 8,045 views in the same amount of time while nothing else even compared (none of the other methods of gaining traffic went over 1,000 views during this time). Pinterest was my third biggest source of traffic with 705 views during this time.

Since I had big numbers to play with, I decided to do number crunching calculations. Throughout the time frame, this blog generated 47,742 views. I added all of the traffic from different social networks and identified that this blog got 24,681 views which means for the past three months, 52% of this blog’s traffic came from social media. At this same time, only 17% of this blog’s traffic came from search engines.

This is another testimony that proves growing your presence on social networks is more important than SEO. While they are both important, some people focus most of their time on SEO without giving a thought about how social networks can result in more traffic. As my traffic numbers from social networks increased, I also noticed an increase in this blog’s search engine traffic.

In May, 20% of my blog’s traffic came from search engines. That does not mean my traffic from my social networks went down. That means the traffic I gained from search engines significantly increased. As a grew my presence on my social networks, the traffic I gained from search engines grew at a faster rate.

If you are wondering whether you should be using social networks to increase your blog traffic, the answer is that you must do so. Social media is one of the best ways to grow your presence, get more traffic, get more subscribers, and as connections become stronger, get more sales in the process. What are your thoughts on using social media to get more traffic? What are your thoughts on SEO? Please share your thoughts below.

Flyers Are Not Outdated

June 25, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

As a person who has only seen marketing in the world of computers, television, and mobile phones, it was hard for me to imagine a world where flyers were the big thing. One day, I happened to see a flyer for mosquito protection on the way home for a run. I thought to myself that I would never buy that person’s product not because I didn’t like the person but because I had no interest in what the product provided.

These kinds of flyers are ineffective. Although thousands of people see these flyers every day, these people are not targeted customers. These people range from toddlers to senior citizens. The only way these people will care about the flyer is if they have a problem and they didn’t already hire someone to fix the problem.

Despite this, flyers are not outdated. The flyers that got mentioned earlier are outdated, but there is a different strategy that makes a flyer very effective. The reason why most flyers do not work is because the people who put up the flyers forget about their target audience. Unless you have a dog missing flyer (hopefully you never have to put that up), every living human on the planet is not your target audience.

In order to make your flyer effective, you need to show that flyer to your target audience. In addition, your flyer needs to be attractive. If you want a chance at getting attention, your flyer needs to have colorful pictures. While the pictures are nice, you need to remember that most of the people who see your flyer will be new connections. Starting a new connection by asking someone to buy your product is a mistake. What you need to do with this flyer is tell people about a free teleseminar or a free prize they get for subscribing to your blog. It’s almost like an oversized business card with an extra promotion that encourages the recipient to take action.

Where you promote your flyer is essential for its success. A kid’s soccer game is not the right place to promote your flyer about your upcoming social media teleseminar. However, a business summit could not be a better place to promote your flyer. While most business cards get forgotten about or lost, it is much harder to forget about and lose a flyer. Since the recipients will not be able to forget about your flyer, they will be more likely to attend your teleseminar and/or subscribe to your blog for the free prize.

Flyers are mistakenly seen as a dead marketing tactic. Promoting yourself using a flyer is a method that requires practice, but once you get in the practice, you will be able to promote yourself with a flyer better than you would be able to with a business card. What are your thoughts on using flyers to promote yourself? Do you have any additional tips on getting better results from your flyers? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

7 Ways To Boost Your Self-Confidence

June 24, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

self confidence

Looking back at the journey I have taken, I decided to look back and identify what allowed me to do what I do as a teenager. While I have mentioned multiple times about having good parents, a desire to become successful, and other things as well, there is something else that affects success: the individual. In order to boost your chances of becoming successful, you also need to boost your self-confidence. While some people believe genetics have an impact on self-confidence, I have a firm belief that anything can be acquired over time with hard work and dedication. It is possible to become an Olympian after a lot of hard work and dedication. It it possible to make $1 million every year after a lot of hard work and dedication. It is also possible with a lot of hard work and dedication to boost your self-confidence. Here are 7 ways to bring up your self-confidence so you can live a happier and more successful life.

  1. Give yourself goals. Giving yourself goals gives you a reason to do the work required to become successful. It is important to write all of these goals on a piece of paper so you can remind yourself of those goals every day. Then, put a giant checkmark in front of the goals that you accomplish. It is important to only give yourself weekly goals so you are able to see good results. If you only give yourself monthly–or worse–annual goals, it will take a long time to get those goals accomplished and your morale will go down. Giving yourself weekly goals that require some discomfort but are manageable will bring forth the best results.
  2. Dream big. Before they become successful, the successful people were big dreamers. They envisioned what their future lives would look like and how they would become successful. Dreaming big and knowing that those dreams will come true will give you more self-confidence because you know that great things are heading your way.
  3. Learn more about your niche. This will allow you to become a better expert and know a lot about your niche. Knowing a lot about your niche will make you feel more confident when people ask you questions about your niche.
  4. Listen to motivational videos and read motivational quotes. They do work. Some of these motivational videos and quotes have the power to change your entire outlook on life and success. Knowing that success is on the other side of fear motivated me to conquer the fears that held me back.
  5. Watch less TV. Watching TV is an easy way to lose self-confidence because it hinders productivity and growth to the point where time management and achieving your dreams looks impossible. In addition, some of the TV shows create the “I wish” mindset. I have watched all three Iron Man movies, and it is easy to imagine that there are people who constantly wish they were as rich as Tony Stark. No one should watch more than five hours of TV within a given week. It is simply too dangerous for your self-confidence.
  6. Play more video games. As if teenagers needed another excuse. Playing the ones that you win a lot in are the ones that boost self-confidence. Although you will not be able to win every challenge (in the video game and in life), you will always have the desire to win. If you choose to play video games, be sure to limit your activity to a maximum of 1 hour every day.
  7. Focus on one task at a time. Focusing on one task at a time will allow you to get all of your tasks done faster which in return boosts your self-confidence. There are few things more frustrating as an entrepreneur to go back and forth between ideas and constantly shifting your focus on other projects before you get to finish old ones. Save yourself this frustration and give yourself something good to look at by focusing on one task at a time.

Boosting your self-confidence will without question allow you to live a better life. Having self-confidence will give you the faith you need in yourself to creates better products and grow your business in a way that you previously thought was never possible. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

Is Guest Blogging Still Worth It?

June 24, 2014 by Marc Guberti 3 Comments

Guest Blogging

Guest blogging used to be the ideal way to grow your presence and enhance your SEO at the same time. However, guest blogging started to become a spammy practice, and that was all it took for Google to pull the plug on guest blogging. Guest blogging is no longer a valuable way to get backlinks and increase your blog’s SEO. Since Google dramatically diminished the power of guest blogging, many people started to write less guest posts or stopped writing them all together. There are also some people on the cusp of making a decision, those who continue to stick with guest blogging, and others who have not written a single guest post.

The question that surrounds these people’s minds is whether guest blogging is still worth it. Even though Google pulled the plug on guest blogging, guest blogs like Business2Community and Social Media Today continue to get updated. My answer for this question is that guest blogging is still worth it. If you are trying to build links, then guest blogging will not work out for you, but if you want to build your presence on the web, then guest blogging is very effective.

There are numerous reasons to write guest posts that I highlighted in these posts. One of those reasons was for SEO. Just because one reason is eliminated does not mean the other reasons are obsolete. Writing guest posts on popular blogs still has a powerful effect. With guest blogging, you can still do the following:

  1. Grow your following. These people will eventually visit your blog.
  2. Get more people to know about you. Guest blogging allows you to put your content in front of a larger audience.
  3. Get more people to know about your blog. Although SEO will no longer be a factor, people who look at your bio will still be able to see your blog’s link.
  4. Become a better writer. If you want to become a very good writer, then there’s no such thing as writing too much.

Guest blogging is still worth it. Although search engines do not factor in guest blogging, writing guest posts still serves its main job–getting you more traffic and exposure. What are your thoughts about guest blogging? Do you think it is obsolete, or do you think there is still a good use for it? Please share your thoughts below.

3 Ways To Promote Your Blog On Twitter

June 23, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

twitter logo

In order to get more traffic for your blog, you need to be omnipresent on all social networks. Twitter is one of the social networks you have to be present on, but in order to get a lot of blog traffic from Twitter, you need to know how to promote your blog on Twitter. You may be wondering why the list for this blog post is so short. Most of my blog posts have at least five methods on the list while others go over 50. The reason why this list is so short is because building your audience is the main way to get more traffic. These are just three ways to promote your blog so that the audience you have is more likely to view your blog posts.

  1. Add a link to your blog in your bio. Please do not forget to do this. Many people forget to update their bio for several months, and within those several months, a lot of things can change. You may have switched blogs and decided to focus on a new niche. There is no reason to promote your old blog that will never get updated again. Promoting the new blog in your bio is now the priority.
  2. Tweet about your blog post at least 80% of the time. Many people do not realize that their audiences do not care about how much you promote your blog. Some people are quick to point out that you should share other people’s content and not just their own. If you tweet how-to articles, your audience does not care about the author. They only care about learning more information. If you write quality content, your audience will not mind reading blog post after blog post on your blog. In fact, they’ll want you to tweet your blog posts more often.
  3. Tweet more often throughout the day. Doubling the amount of tweets you send out every day will result in a dramatic increase in traffic. If you schedule tweets throughout the day, you will be able to get visitors from all parts of the world at any time. Tweeting every hour eliminates the problem of time zones, and tweeting even more frequently will make people in your audience more likely to see one of your tweets.

By promoting your blog on Twitter and growing your audience, you will eventually be able to get hundreds of daily visitors to your blog from Twitter alone.
