5 Steps To Get On More Webinars And Podcasts

August 3, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Mobile Podcasting

Getting on webinars and podcasts allow you to show off your expertise in a certain area and interact with other audiences. However, few people know how to get on a webinar or podcast to share their expertise. These people want to interact with more audiences, but they don’t know how to reach those other audiences. I remember when I always dreamed of getting on webinars and podcasts because at the time, it was something close to impossible. Now I have been on multiple webinars and podcasts. In order to get on more webinars and podcasts, follow these five steps.

  1. Build your credibility. The more credibility you have, the more reasons someone has to interview you on their webinar or podcast. Building your credibility will help you out in additional ways as well.
  2. Post valuable content. People will only invite you on their webinar or podcast if they know you are going to provide their audience with value. By posting valuable content on your blog, your YouTube videos, and anywhere else you are, these people will be more likely to include you in their next webinar or podcast episode.
  3. Grow your own audience. The people who have their own webinars and podcasts are looking for more exposure just as much as you are. There is always an incentive for a webinar or podcast owner to interview someone who has a big audience that can promote the webinar or podcast.
  4. Be on YouTube. Posting valuable content on a blog and being on YouTube are two different things. In order to conduct a webinar or a podcast, the guest needs to do most of the talking. The person in charge in most cases will just give you a quick intro, ask you questions, and say a quick comment each time you answer a question. Being active on YouTube shows a webinar or podcast owner that you can talk about your niche for a long period of time.
  5. Webinar and podcast shows begets more opportunities. As you get on more webinar and podcast shows, more people will come to you asking if you can be on their next show. After showing off that you can do fine on a webinar or podcast, the fear that some owners may have will be gone. They know that you can do a good job which means they would be happy to have you on their next show.

Those are the five steps to get on more webinars and podcasts. By getting on webinars and podcasts, you will be able to grow your audience and interact with people who you would have never been able to interact with before. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional tips on getting invited to go on more webinar and podcast shows? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

Social Media Is Not For Making Money

August 3, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Social Media International

You can try to make money on social media, but that’s not how it works. When people look for the extra dollar to put in their pocket, they give social media advertising a try. They use Sponsored Tweets, MyLikes, or something similar. Have you used any of those advertising options? Whether you have used them or not, chances are you have heard of them. I used to be just like anyone else and use these advertising services, and there was a point when I even recommended them.

However, social media is for building connections and getting people to visit your blog. It’s on your blog where you make the money, and social media is used to get more people to visit your blog. If you tweet an ad, you are losing out on a blog visitor who may have bought one of your products.

The next time you hear about Ad.ly links, sponsored posts, or anything like that, refrain from using those types of content in your social media strategy. A social media strategy that is going to bring in long-term revenue instead of the short-term revenue from advertisements is one that brings people to a blog with products available.

What are your thoughts on social media advertising? Please share your thoughts below.

4 Reasons To Start Something

July 31, 2014 by Marc Guberti 2 Comments

Start

Some people have a constant desire to start new things while others can’t stand doing so. While some people jump too quickly to start something new, others do everything they can to avoid starting. Starting is a big step towards being successful, but starting the wrong thing can hinder your chances of becoming successful. Ultimately, there are four reasons to start something:

  1. You are passionate. Being passionate about something is a good reason to start. If this is a reason that you are starting, then starting will allow you to get closer to fulfilling your dreams and aspirations.
  2. You want to conquer your fear. One of the biggest things people fear is starting something new. You may need to do just that in order to conquer your fear. Fear only manifests when we think about ideas we have not done net. When we turn those ideas into action, the fear gets eliminated.
  3. You want more credibility. Starting something and then having it work will boost your credibility. If what you start does not work, that’s okay too. All you can do at that point is get up and try again. Bill Gates had to get up and try again when Traf-O-Data turned out to be a flop. He tried again and created Microsoft. Now Bill Gates is one of the richest men in the world (sometimes, he’s the richest).
  4. You want to do more experiments. You don’t need goggles, lab equipment, or scientific procedures to conduct an experiment. An experiment is implementing your idea, giving it a try, and seeing what happens. As you do more experiments, you will be able to identify patterns. You will be able to identify what types of methods work and which ones do not work. Conducting more experiments allows you to do better at what you do. Most bloggers start out as either decent or bad writers. Writing many blog posts over time is what allows these bloggers to get better at what they do. They get better with practice.

Starting something new takes a lot of courage, and there are many other benefits to starting as well. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional reasons to start something? Please share your thought and advice below.

3 Ways To Know Whether You Have A Powerful Presence Or Not

July 30, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

There are many definitions for what a powerful presence on the web means. To some people, it means more blog traffic. To others, it means having big numbers. That means a big number of followers, a big number of shares, and a big number of views. The bigger they are the better they are. When it comes to knowing whether you have a powerful presence on the web or not, all of those things I just mentioned get thrown out of the window. There are three ways to know whether you have a powerful presence on the web or not. Some of them will sound familiar to the ones I told you to throw out of the window, but they are distinct compared to the typical metrics people use to determine whether they have a powerful presence or not.

  1. People are honored when you respond to their emails. That’s how you know you’re a celebrity in your niche. There are few people that can make you feel honored by responding you an email. If one person was able to tell you how honored they felt to receive your email, that means there are other people who were honored to receive an email from you but did not tell you. In many cases, the greatest things often go unsaid.
  2. Grow an audience that matters. I did not say get big numbers. There is a difference between having a big audience and having an audience that matters. It is possible to put together a big audience and an audience that matters, but you need to know what kind of audience matters first. An audience that matters is one that shares your content, values your content, and appreciates what you do.
  3. People only buy products because you made them. Chances are there are dozens of other products for people to choose from. As your presence grows, some people will admire you to the point where they will favor your products over other people’s products. If you buy a Seth Godin book, you’ll end up buying as many as you can. That’s how you can tell he has a powerful presence on the web. Some people would buy a book just because his name is on the front cover.

By growing your presence on the web, you also grow your presence outside of the web. You will get the recognition and applauses each time you make a public speech. Big numbers have the power to make your presence look bigger than it really is. Your powerful presence come down to the three things on the list.

4 Reasons Why Health And Fitness Have Everything To Do With Success

July 29, 2014 by Marc Guberti 8 Comments

Few people know how much of an impact being healthy and fit has on your success. In fact, your health and fitness are two critical factors that allow you to indicate how much you are taking care of yourself. Being healthy and fit tells you that you are able to keep your own body in shape. If you can keep your health and fitness in check, you can keep yourself in check in other ways as well. Here are four reasons why health and fitness have everything to do with success.

  1. Good health and fitness encourages you to set goals. In order to maintain good health and fitness, you need to set goals. Setting goals such as eating less sugar, doing more chin-ups, or just running outside every day are set so people can maintain healthy and fit lives. As an individual gets better at implementing goals for health and fitness, it becomes easier to shift that mindset for other goals–like a business plan.
  2. You don’t like to settle. Once people become fit, they have the natural tendency to get more fit. If an individual is able to run the mile in under five minutes, that person will strive to run the mile faster next time. You are happy with what you have accomplished, but you also know that the journey never ends. Never wanting to settle will encourage you to try new things, experiment with old ones, and take risks.
  3. You get more confidence. Not everyone is healthy and fit, but if you are, you have done something incredible. You are consistently maintaining your body and nourishing it properly. That’s a big accomplishment which will definitely boost your confidence. In addition, being healthy and fit gives you the “I Can” mentality. This mentality is your super power that allows you to believe in your ability to do anything.
  4. You will learn that success requires patience. Do you want the rock solid abs? Do you want to have a muscular body? It takes several months of working out the right way for the average person to get to that level. There is no such thing as overnight success, and if you maintain your health and get fit, you will learn that. Then, it will be easier for you to carry that over to your business.

There are many connections that health and fitness have with being successful. Those are just four of the many ways that keeping your body in check can lead to a better life. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any additional reasons that health and fitness affect success? Please share your thoughts and advice below.

6 Characteristics That Every Successful Entrepreneur Has Part 2

July 29, 2014 by Marc Guberti Leave a Comment

Think Like An Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs are individuals who break out of the status quo to pursue their own dreams. Even if they may not make a lot of money in the beginning, entrepreneurs pursue their dreams instead of looking for survival jobs. All entrepreneurs have several characteristics. In an earlier blog post, I mentioned six characteristics that every successful entrepreneur has. Since then, I have learned more about entrepreneurship, and I will continue learning about it. As a result, I have been able to come up with six completely different characteristics that every entrepreneur should have.

  1. Have an optimistic attitude. Every entrepreneur faces obstacles. An entrepreneur’s success is dependent on how he/she responds to the obstacles. If the entrepreneur remains optimistic about their journey, that entrepreneur will make enough mistakes to get one thing right, and getting one thing right can be the difference between a survival job and a multimillion dollar business.
  2. Risk taking. Entrepreneurs need to be willing to make risks. The safe game is no longer safe because there are too many people playing that game. In order to stand out as an entrepreneur, you need to take risks so people see you as a remarkable entrepreneur.
  3. The desire to experiment. There is no rule book for your niche to break from the norm. There are several ways to break from the norm, but the only way you will know whether your method worked or not is by giving it a try. You may need to conduct numerous experiments before coming up with the one that works.
  4. Entrepreneurs accept that failure happens but don’t get stopped by it. Successful entrepreneurs realize that failure is inevitable, but they also realize that success is inevitable. After failing so many times, entrepreneurs learn enough about their niche that they get it right. Getting it right and having the product or service deliver the way you expected it to is when the magic starts to happen.
  5. Entrepreneurs are willing to work for 80 hours to avoid working for 40 hours. Shark Tank’s Lori Greiner came up with a humorous but true statement about entrepreneurs. We work more to avoid less work. The only difference is that after everything pays off, entrepreneurs are able to live in a way that most people can’t.
  6. Entrepreneurs utilize their leverage. We have more leverage than we realize. Technology has torn away communication limitations, information-obtaining limitations, and even the age limitation. Even in a world with more leverage, not every entrepreneur is utilizing that leverage. The successful entrepreneurs are utilizing the leverage around them to thrive and create superstar products.

Those are the six other characteristics that every entrepreneur has. You can see the other six characteristics here. What are your thoughts on the list? Do you have any other entrepreneurial characteristics you would like to share? Please share your thoughts and advice below.
